I'm suing there's San Marcos Toyota division in small claims court after they damaged my truck fender twice and broke an oral agreement to repair the damage. They refused to pay the deductible or cover my out-of-pocket expenses despite multiple attempts to resolve it.

We just had the preliminary hearing. So far, the defense hasn’t offered any real explanation or justification, just legal tactics meant to complicate things instead of addressing the facts.

I suspect others may have tried to sue them but were intimidated. I’m not. In fact, I’m writing a book called Small Claims Court Power Plays to help consumers fight back when businesses try to bully them out of justice.

I’ll update this review once the case is resolved, either in court or through settlement.

I can’t speak to how they’ll treat you, but my experience has been awful.

I got a call from Anson Jones on Thursday saying to come in on Saturday that he's able to make a new contract so I said I would come. I come today (Saturday 1/30/2021) and he said he can take off the add ons that were on my contract but the total amount still came out to about $38k. I asked Anson what was the MSRP because before going, I had done the math and the total financed with TTL should have been around $34k. So Anson tries to tell me that the MSRP on the car is around $31k and "these numbers can't be fudged." As seen in my previous reviews with the same name, I initially was offered $29500 MSRP by Shawn Nawaz. $500 off because I am an essential worker. On the contract that I had to wait to get home to pull up on my computer, the MSRP was $32930. How could the numbers be "fudged" on my contract showing the MSRP at $32930, but not on the paper showing $31k today?????? When I asked then why would your employee give me the $29500 price if it wasn't true, he couldn't explain. So while I got up and walked away, Anson said "expect a bill." So I wasted a total of 7 days going back and forth with this keating toyota group. They will take advantage of you especially if you're a hispanic woman going in there alone.

My name is Liliana and I recently thought a purchased a great car from the keating toyota group but I was wrong. They took advantage of a hispanic woman, a first time buyer who shouldn't have any problem getting whatever deal. I was lied to about my final purchase price by Sergio Ortega, financial manager, and Shawn Nawaz, product specialist. Over charging me $15000 in add-ons and did not give me initial MSRP that was dicussed. I was withheld information about what exactly was on my contract. I was given a USB with incomplete paperwork. When I went back, I was treated very rudely. I stayed there for hours, coming back several days trying to resolve this issue but instead I was being laughed at. Anson Jones the general manager is telling me to contact toyota and a lawyer and that everything I am saying to "blatantly false." They do not try to resolve things, that's how much they care. They don't care about customers, only profit. This is the keating group for you.

General manager Anson Jones from keating toyota group you have not reached out to me to been help me with this situation. Your store took advantage of a hispanic woman who had little experience purchasing a vehicle. On a 2021 Toyota RAV4 I should have had the contract at about $33452 for the vehicle price at $464 /72 months with a 2.9%. That's with the $29,500 MSRP that Shawn said he would give me. But instead I this is what I got:

Total sales price/payments: $50,150 (Shawn was having me focus on the "sub total" which was in the low 30,000s)
Financial Charge: $4,226.17
Cash Price/w taxes: $36279.29

Add ons that were not explained to me:
Prepaid maintenance: $2,450
Tire and Wheel: $2,730
Mechanical Breakdown: $ 3,161.00
GAP insurance (which is the only thing I thought I was adding on): $850
Apex (GPS): $614
Paint and Interior protection: $171
Windshield protection: $269

Selling price plus the back end products that I had no idea that was on my contract until I got home adds up to me paying way more that was talked about. That's why I left the car there in the lot . This is just coming from one of many customers they have taken advantage of. What I was told by Sergio, Shawn, Eric and by you, Anson, that nothing is able to be done. I will keep posting and letting everyone know what kind of ethics and dishonesty you all are running at keating toyota.

It has been a little over a week now and still i have not received honest help from the keating toyota group. Not even the COO Stephen Livesay is willing to help me. From the top of the chain all the way to the bottom, no one has helped. Met with the general manager Anson Jones just so he can try to take some things off of the current contract but not give me the MSRP that was initially promised. Just so he can try to make money off of me. This is not right. Read my other reviews with the same name so you know what happened. Stay away buyers!!!! Don't let this happen to you
