Excellent spot while visiting family in Sand Lake. Would have loved the option of patio seating which is why I gave it 4 stars. The pizza was crunchy and fresh and better than most! Yum!!

Quite a bit over hyped, always too crowded and crammed environment. Different pizza but good. Probably rated so high because you can't get pizza elsewhere for 15 miles. If you haven't been, I'd still recommend. Once a year kind of place

Also known as Kay's Pizza, this is one of my absolutely favorite summertime places to eat! With a really cool 1950 feel, the atmosphere on Burden lake is hard to find elsewhere. Kay's is known for their pan style pizzas but what isn't as well known is that they have some of the best crispy wings around!
But hurry in, they are only open in the summer months!

During Covid times especially, it is wonderful to sit by the lake and enjoy a good pizza and other finger food which is not good for the waist... Pizza has drastically been improved ... They don't scrimp on toppings .. fresh toppings except mushroom which are canned :-(. ... The wings are ok .. not particularly meaty but usually not dry sticks ... I would only ask they could be a little more creative with the clams ... Perfectly good clams are steamed without the benefit of any flavor whatsoever .. I put in a suggestion clams be cooked in a simple white wine, a line of olive oil, garlic and cilantro broth .(to no avail).. the beer selection allows for a wide choice of bottled as well as locally made ... The extended lakeside al fresco seating along with a wide choice of pizza options, clams albeit could use a little effort on taste and other finger food , makes this a most enjoyable family eatery .

Love Kay's pizza. Our usual go too food is pizza and wings but tonight we changed it up and I got the spegetti and meatballs and my spouse got the seafood platter, both were excellent. Great restaurant to go to with the whole family! Kid friendly for kids of all ages.

I loved this place as a kid, coming here in the 70s, and it's still just as awesome today. It hasn't changed a bit, except it's packed these days! No thrills, no frills. Just a great staff and a ton of people packing it in for a great time, over great beer, great pizza, steamed clams, and many fried favorites, with a cool water view. I hope this place is around forever!

Too bad they are only a seasonal business; great food and especially pizza! Well worth the trip and any small wait as they are very popular and with good reason. We are usually there weekly when open and have never been disappointed.

The pizza is SOLID and you know the place is good based on the high number of vehicles in the parking lot.

The service was great and the beverages were cold. Kay's definitely caters to vacationers, churning out wings and pizza for carry out or dine in daily. From my one hour spent there it looks as if business is booming.

Wow! Really tasty pizzas with some great and unique selections. The waitress was hard working, attentive with a great attitude.
We had the "Meat Only Pizza" and the "Uncle Bill Pizza" (seafood & chicken). Tons of toppings.
It's noisy, but a friendly & happy atmosphere.

We have been going to Kay's forever, and this year it has been spot on. Never a bad meal, and always friendly wait staff, even when they're super busy. You might have to park up the hill across the dyke, and might have a bit of a wait, but it's worth it.

Always great pizza! The "rustic" atmosphere is a love or hate thing...we always enjoy it. The only reason it isn't a 5 star rating from me is that tonight's steamers were the smallest clams I've ever seen served in a restaurant. They were miniscull. We have had them many times previously and it has never been an issue before. Hopefully, this was just a weird batch. The onion rings were yummy and plentiful at least.

Went with my family to visit and see what all the fuss is about. It's over an hour drive for us one way to go to Kay's and let me tell you, the drive was WORTH IT. We ordered their Thai Chicken pizza that is DELICIOUS. We visited on their opening weekend and even though it was extremely busy, we never felt rushed. Though we did have to wait for a table for about 15 minutes (seriously though, that's nothing!), it was worth it to try their food. We were a large party and ordered multiple appetizers and pizzas and all were brought out to our table hot, fresh, and in an extremely reasonable amount of time. I ordered a couple of margaritas while there and they were very, very good and refreshing. I highly recommend visiting if you're ever in the area and looking for good pizza!

This place has very few signs to help you find the place. It is a must do experience. The floors used to dip and dive. It had even more character back then. It has been there for 60 years. Worth the experience if you can find it. The Kay's special pizza is a must~order. Don't skip the steamed clams.

My favorite here is the white pizza with chopped clams. Captain Bills clam pizza is good too, but I prefer clams as the only topping. Sooooooooo good. I literally get cravings for this pizza from Kay's, you can't find this flavor anywhere else.

Nice atmosphere, although hot weather makes it uncomfortable. Waitress went missing after initial order, tried to get another beverage, but no luck. Took longer to pay our tab then it did to eat. Pizza was good, but have had better locally.. Willing to give it another try..
