A barren empty cement structure called Katariya Hotel, had absolutely nothing to offer from their menu card, for eating. Staff too was clueless what to offer in the restaurant that can be served on table. Pathetic situation.

Hotel is spacious, reasonably priced, average ambiance. Approach is by narrow road. Ample parking is available.
Otherwise giving a grand impression at the entry, It's an okay types place. Since the place has become old and needs attention on renovation/hygiene, it doesn't have a refreshing feel.
Food was also not that great plus the service was average. It's a low budget feel place.
Not recommended for a romantic trip but ok for a functional trip.

Nothing works in the hotel. Do not expect Ac, hot water or anything to work. Pathetic service. If u order drinking water they will bring it to your room after 2 hours, inspite of 4 calls made to housekeeping and reception.

This hotel rates itself as a three starred hotel. I say it should be rated as a one by three star hotel.
Although our booking was done a week ahead, they took an hour to provide us the rooms at the time of check-in.
Morning tea is provided after one hour you order it.
Utilities like mattresses, towels etc. are given one hour after they are requested for.
Even in the year 2014, they give you a set of Wi-Fi username and password which lasts for only an hour. You need to enter a newer set after every one hour! The staff takes hours to give you a newer set. You will have to rely upon your data pack all the time to access the internet.
The service is awful. The staff is shameless and doesn t hesitate from making false commitments of providing you several services and in the end you keep waiting for the basic requirements.
I have stayed in service apartments and guest houses in Hyderabad before. They provide much better services and even at rates cheaper than this hotel. Never ever make your stay/trip in Hyderabad a pathetic one by staying in Hotel Katriya.
Very old hotel... leaky roofs and cracked walls. Hotel needs immediate renovation...not recommended for stay.
No good service from staff nd hotel peopl and tv was not working and also they were charging for water which was 80 rupees for 1 liter so bad experience i had ever seen till now

I went for a marrige function there and food and even coffee is not available for all the guests. Just they served it for 1hr and closed the counter. Bad planning

At the first they tried to give us deluxe room when we had booked club. Later on they provided club room in which bathroom is untidy and no basic facilities given like towels and so on. Had to call room service for each and everything thing. Expected very much more for such a old and famous place. Disappointed!!! But have to stay for one more day as there is no no options

Since I cannot give a negative rating, I'm giving it 1. It's literally a Nazi gas chamber. It is a huge building without A.C , or a fan anywhere. Also the building is sealed off with glass windows, so there's no way fresh air can come in. Everything there stinks of fungus . And it's extremely suffocating. Once you pay these people and get a room. No one will come attend you . Service is horrible. Telephones in the room are namesake. They don't even work. Yours just left there to die.
Food is good.
There is no coordination among the employees. They reception guy has no idea on how to talk to people. It's not worth staying in the hotel especially the room service is clumsy. No hot water. You have to call 3-4 before they take some action.
Better to stay somewhere else.

I wonder that a star hotel serves such a tasteless food.Recently I have attended a marriage in this hotel I've expected great food but ended up with the food which doesn't have any taste at all. I suggest people it's better if you guy's stay away from this hotel
This place is an absolute joke, looks all fancy from the outside but not like that in the inside. The basic requirement of having a clean bathroom is out the question as the toilet seat was dirty. As per the staffs none of the rooms have bathroom that comes with a faucet. We had to fight with the staffs and threaten we would walk out and only then we got a decent room. I would recommend to check for better options befor coming here
Frankly speaking, extremely disappointing experience.
Receptionists had horrible attitudes and showed zero hospitality and forcefully held on to the customers' IDs much longer than necessary, very poor hygiene overall, staff didn't speak decent English in general and had no interest in offering any form of help.
I have stayed in a number of hotels during my trip to India and this one was by far the worst.
Not worth the money and wouldn't recommend to anyone at all.
Went for a wedding, the food was very disappointing
When Compared to Outside interiors of the hotel inside are very worst u can see in pictures. This is not at all suggestible for a happy stay. Seems like a very old hotel and need a lot of maintenance for it's rooms and lobby.
