Day 1- Conference venue. Spacious halls ( Vijayanagara) but smelt damp and A/C was inadequate. Food was average and logistics for handing plates was woeful with a serpentine queue. Vegetarian section had mutton biryani ???!!! Why segregate then while we stood in line for 15 minutes. F&B manager should be made answerable. No reception for cell phones in -2 level halls. At least put up a sign/ notice for guests to be informed. Day 3- improved arrangements but mutton replaced by chicken in veg section!!! Less crowd being last day helped I guess. Valet parking efficient. Potted plants watered with spills- hazardous for everyone!! Hope someone monitors these things before an accident happens. Lobby was clear and uncluttered. House keeping were trying to be helpful. Nearly missed the entrance from main road to reach the hotel which is located behind apartments. Lots to ask for.

I am writing, while at the hotel, within 12 hours of being at this ****hole the call a hotel at 3:01 am in the morning as I cannot sleep in this mosquito filled, foul smelling, steam chamber (ac not working) room I am confined to for this night.
The hotel is being run down due to incompetent management. I pity the courteous staff (hotel is largely understaffed).
Here is the entire ordeal with the timelines:
1. We arrive @ 6:45 pm at the hotel lobby (~7 hours after the regular check-in time). Suprise no. 1: NO ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE. Reason: There were weddings @ the hotel, wherein guests did not check-out. I saw atleast 10 more groups of people waiting to check in in this horrible situation.
We decided to go out, rather than waste time arguing. We returned only at ~10:00 pm. Still to find rooms are not being allotted. Luckily, the front desk staff Ms. Prasanna assigned us an *upgraded* suite room. (Credit where it's due).
2. Room we checked into (no. 440) is a decent room except it smells. The room had a window open (they say from previous guests, but room cleaning may have closed it!). Anyway, so a lot of mosquitoes and bugs in the room.
3. We finally decided to sleep, however after 3 hours inside the room, the room feels like a pressure cooker as the AC (or its lack thereof) only blows air. No cooling at all!!
4. Dead cockroach inside the room.
It's 3 at night and after repeated mosquito bites, sweaty shirts and calm complaints, nothing seems to come out of it.
Was here to celebrate our anniversary and within 12 hours am compelled to go online and write a review of this horrible experience at this hotel.

Superb cleanliness and facilities. But washroom should be more hiegine. Lots of varieties in breakfast and good quality. Swimming pool scene from the windows of one side of the hotel.
I performed my daughter marriage on 19 Nov and booked 25 rooms, shown something else and provided something else had no choice already paid advance my complaint air conditioning not at all good, linen in bad shape otherwise rooms are cozy and good, had functions for two days food by chef NAIDU excellent and that raised the mood of occasion otherwise lady Taneesha Banquet staff very very rude and pathetic towards hospitality had no clue how to deal with coustomer.On the whole Food Served on all occasion by chef NAIDU Saved the day.Hotel Management must take care of rude and uncaring staff, don't provide false promises.
It's an well established old building. But maintenance is not as per the current 4 star hotel standards. There is lot of scope for improvement maintaining corridors and washrooms
I would never suggest this hotel for anyone travelling with their family .It was my worst experience here booked two rooms , dont look at the exteriors of the hotel you will get fooled I got my room in the morning and didnt use it at all after my touring I came back to the hotel at around 11.30pm .The bathroom is not in a good state even the bathtubs Our AC wasn't working and called the staff twice later at midnight they come to us stating you will have to shift ur rooms with the luggage we were so tired and top of that forced to shift our rooms with the luggage which i didnt agree to later they agreed to shift the room without the luggage .The lobby stinks like hell when someone smokes there since there is no ventilation in the lobby nor in the rooms The blanket given to us was completely torn . I had booked this hotel for 2nights , but looking at these things I checked out from the immediately after 1night After complaining this to the duty manager he just had a smile on his face and nodded his head and did nothing This hotel was completely over priced got a better experienece in Hotel Saptagiri . Not sure how this hotel is rates as 3star
Really enjoyed to stay here..Lot more to see and enjoy here..Let me begin with entrance...I entered it around 9.45 pm..I just fell in love with the lighting and live music the best combo to get out of ur whole day stress..Next the most important part the luxurious room glowed with golden lights...It's all about the night stay...Later in the morning breakfast buffet at the restaurant..whahhhh just no words to tell about the quality,variety and taste of the food...At last let me mention about the service by the staff and everyone..Thanku for ur service from welcome to visit again service
The food over here is like as bad as you can think.though there are alot of dishes available the food is not at all good. But the housing is very good and it is like present in like the heart of the city.
Dear Friends, Please Do not visit Hotel Katriya, I am working for pharma company i visit 3 states but never or ever i had seen such a nasty hotel in my 15 years pharma carrier , U had to wait minimum 2 hrs to check in, if order food to room it takes minimum 2 hrs , if you go to bathroom water will not come , Food i cant speak , Road side hotel food is far far better than katriya , After fortune left this hotel has become worst services , if you call from out side for hotel address or any thing no one will lift phone , IF U WANT TO SEE Hell Hotel Katriya is Best place.
If you enter the hotel it looks good But when u have a look at the room you won't be satisfied with the place as the washrooms are not too good and rooms are quite small.
I have booked two rooms. Both rooms are so smelly. One of them was not at all good to even sit there. We vacated that and adjusted in other room. I complained about it and the front desk executive said she will look into that. But she never cared about it though I tried to reach again. Bed and chairs are all stains. Bathroom is horrible and water is not drained out. Restaurent inside of this worst thing. AC was not working and they did not made alternative arrangements also with fans. When I complained about it, they said it is under maintenance. it was so hot to sit and having food there..
I never ever look for this hotel. I would give 0 or negative ratings if possible. Please stay away...
We resided in this hotel for three days. Let me tell you the positives first. Huge hotel from outside, huge pillars in the entrance, a dressed security greeting you. As soon as you enter a huge lobby with fountain and a sun roof, with plush sofas are the highlights. Staff are courteous, greets and responsive. Room service was prompt done everyday. Complementary breakfast was decent. We had dinner and lunch buffet, they were okay. With good number of varieties for vegetarians like me.
But I have given 2 stars for a reason! This is a two star hotel under the cover of 3/4star. The corridors were soggy and had malodour. The toilets although cleaned, were kind of permanently stained! Seats were chipped. The taps do not have aerators, they pour water. Hot water was not so hot, although was available round the clock. Shower and the tap in bathtub were mutual inclusive! When you switch on the shower, the tap water keeps flowing out vice versa. A projecting nail on the back of the door. Overall reflecting a poor maintenance.
Air condition was another problem, centralised AC never cooled the room even at the top speed. It used to feel stuffy in the midnight and added to this is, rooms do not have fan! This made our stay really uncomfortable.
There is a public toilet next to the lift in ground floor, which is to be used for those who eat in the restuarant. It's the dirtiest nauseating place on earth! With overflowing comodes, open drains, smelly room.. Really I don't even feel like remembering that place!
Hotel Katariya is easily accessible from the main road, located at Somajiguda. This hotel is very safe especially for lady traveller 's. We were there for 2 nights and 3 days. Hotel Katariya was very adjustable in all cases. As per our flight schedule we reached hotel around 10.00 am in the morning, Even though our check in was 12.00 pm, they allocated room as they got other check outs from other clients. Hotel staffs were very co-operative and comfortable.Hotel Reception area is very wide , they got a very big reception lounge. There is snack counter also to get puffs, donuts cakes etc. Restuarant is very close to reception area, normally they provide free breakfast along with the stay. There is wide range of items for breakfast too..like idilly, dosa, inlets, chutney, upma, pancake, rice or vermicelli upma, boiled egg, cupcakes, juices, pineapple, watermelon, cornflakes, tea, coffee and much more. It really worth it. Since this is old building, but very well maintained its very comfortable to stay. Very get hot and cold water in bathroom, a kettle to make tea , coffee inside the room, rooms are maintained nicely, we get 2 small bottle of mineral water daily etc. It's better to recharge your access card at reception before you go to the room. Beside access card will be cut off, if it come near to your mobile or any other electronic items. Or leave access card at reception while going out. Bathroom 's were little old, still renovation works going on. But those who can manage is ok. Buffet dinner cost RS.500/person. Room Service is really got and got a seperate menu. Hotel Katariya is very safe to stay, in two min walk , you can reach main road and got access to bakery , Restuarant and many other shops. Who ever wanted to order food from outside, can order through swiggy and collect the items from gate of the hotel. Domino's is also very near to the hotel.. Thank you.. Great Stay. Centrally located. Hotel ambiance is very good. Except these two plus points, there is absolutely no reason to stay in this hotel. Reception and room service is very poor. In spite of repeated requests, nobody attends to our needs. We waited for two hours for allocation of room. TV not working and hotel did not take any action to repair it during the two days of our stay in spite of repeated requests. Hotel staff opened the room in our absence to clean the room (but no cleaning was done) and left the main door unlocked. We strongly protested but to no avail. This may be a 4-star hotel but with third-rate staff and service. Our sincere advice is not to stay in this hotel at all.

One can not trace it due to its location away from the main road. The halls are named after popular local sites like Vijayanagara, Kshetra and Kuchipudi. The large and small halls suit for a variety of events.
One of the well known star hotels in Hyderabad since early 2000s, had organized one of our official event here. Was offered the best pricing for the food and other services. Only issue we had was the lighting was little dim and they dint have a solution for that. Overall a good experience.
