Staffed by locals that love their jobs. Every guest is precious to them and they will give you the 10 star treatment at all cost. The place is Moroccan beauty at its best. The fresh air of the Atlas Mountains was pure tranquility. Chefs are top notch also.

Stunning hotel and restaurant. One of the best fish dishes I have ever had (the fish tangine). Amazing service, when we asked about the fish dish the chef came out and offered to do a cooking demo on how to make it.

This hotel is seriously over rated. In many ways it feels as though you are just paying for the name. The treatments in the Spa are not cheap and you ll pay twice as much at the Kasbah Tamadot as you would at another luxurious hotel in Marrakesh but the standard is no way near as high. The staff overall are friendly but the main Receptionist not so who was extremely unhelpful and rude. The hotel is incredibly tired and untidy and not what you would expect to see. Overall a thoroughly disappointing and very expensive experience!

A very special place where you can easily chill out and de-stress. The natural beauty of the mountains and gardens are breathtaking. My second time here to celebrate our weddung anniversary and it still lived up to expectations. We came for a short 5 night break which was perfect to recharge.
The staff are so courteous and nothing is too much trouble, they genuinely seem to want you to enjoy your stay as much as possible.
Breakfasts are fab and there is alot of choice on the buffet and a vast selection of cooked options made to order, and freshly squeezed juices, including traditional Berbour breakfast with eggs and a type of meatballs. On the last day we had room service for breakfast and we had everything we asked for, plus a few extra things they thought we might like, such as fruit salad and pancakes!!
Lunch is on the terrace or if you want you can stay and by the pool and have delicious mozzarella, tom, avocado basil salad, chicken sanis in traditional flat breads or fish, chicken tagines theres lots of choice and service is quick.
For dinner location changes nightly. The roof terraces give a great view and are cooler than the pool terraces. The night we arrived dinner was being served on the first floor inner courtyard surrounding an ornate pool covered with floating rose petals, so romantic.
All rooms have different characters. The first time we stayed in the main house then to a larger room near to the pool. This time we were very lucky to be upgraded to a Berber tent in the gardens which was an amazing experience and made our stay even more enjoyable. With sun all day the really spacious terrace gives lots of privacy and awesome views . Hardest decision was to be by the pool or our own terrace each afternoon...
This is definitely a unique and special place.
There are direct flights from London around 3.5 hrs and a scenic hour's drive from Marrakech.

I've stayed at many nice hotels around the world and now understand why the Kasbah Tamadot is so special and unique. The views are stunning and I can't imagine a more genuine, kinder staff. The staff took great pride in sharing their country with us from how the food is prepared to where to go on hikes and explore the area. The rooms are so unique and beautiful. The Atlas Mountain area is a nice change from the busy Marrakech with great views, fresh air and a relaxing environment. The Kasbah has a great spa too for a little pampering, but call ahead to get the reservation you want. You couldn't pick up the hotel and place it anywhere else in the world and still have the same experience. From the views, to the staff, to the rooms and architecture, the Kasbah is so very unique and special and worth the splurge for a luxurious stay.

An unforgettable stay and refined cuisine

An unforgettable stay and refined cuisine
We stayed 2 nights in a hotel tent, the experience and the awakening in front of the mountains is just incredible.
The welcome is very warm, the staff are friendly.
The place is truly magical.
Special mention for the kitchen and the chef Yassine Khalal who makes us experience a culinary moment out of time with only fresh products that come exclusively from their vegetable garden.

This beautiful hotel was bought by the Branson family from Luciano tempo in 1998, and the handwriting of the Venetian antique dealer is everywhere to be seen. There are so many fantastic things to discover on the grounds alone. All the locals received free English lessons at the hotel and therefore you find super friendly and English speaking staff everywhere. We spend for nights here and had an amazing time relaxing at the pool and hiking in the nearby atlas mountains and Berber villages.

Amazing lunch at the Kasbah, overlooking the Atlas mountains and the pool.

Refreshed myself with the ever tantalising rose water after a long drive to be treated to a splendid lunch with Fish Tagine and steamed pilaf rice. My partner's dish - Lamb Shank Tagina was superb with the lamb falling off the bone in a delicately spiced sauce.

The staff were well trained and eager to please.

Look forward to coming back for the hammam experience.

This hotel is located in an exceptional setting. The view and the pool are magnificent. The decoration and architecture are somewhat lacking in authenticity. A real cocoon for the new rich. The prices of a palace but without the service you expect. The 12 coffee doesn't even come with a treat.

Best hotel in the world (if you could even call it a hotel - more like a resort/palace for the rich and wealthy). Once Sir Richard Branson's private vacation estate turned exotic hotel in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, this expansive plot of land includes an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub, tennis courts, great views down valley and upriver towards the snow-capped peaks.

The resort is located about an hours drive south of Marrakech which places you out of reach from the hustle and bustle of the city, but restricts you to the mountains with little to no sight seeing opportunities.

If your looking for a place to stay and tour Marrakech then this is not for you. If you're looking for a place to relax and get away to a palace fit for a king then this is your spot! Plus Sir Richard shows up from time to time unannounced.

We had a really lovely meal here, the best food and wine of the whole trip by far! Absolutely stunning views. I would highly recommend it, the staff were lovely and I would not only not hesitate to come back, I'd make a point of it!

You know that calm feeling you get after taking a few deep breaths or maybe a massage? Staying in Kasbah Tamadot IS that feeling. The ambient sounds are calming; the view is tranquil perfection; and the hotel and it's staff are there to take away any anxiety you have. We spent our honeymoon here and loved every second if it. There was no detail too small to be considered and the little things that they did (daily little gifts in your room, free straw hats, and leather babouches in your room are yours to take with you) felt like huge gestures of kindness I hadn't experienced in a hotel before. We recommend doing excursions, specifically the 3-hour hike to Armed and definitely the cooking class (Mustapha, the senior sous chef, was a true delight). Exploring the grounds felt a bit like a treasure hunt: Mule palace? Yep, definitely go in there, it's a petting zoo. Small door seemingly leading to a random road outside the hotel? Absolutely, go through it and find the Eve Branson Foundation's Berber Boutique filled with lovely treasures. Rooftop room with a telescope for stargazing? Yeah they have that too. Seriously. Anything your little heart wants is yours to discover at this Kasbah.

For me, the valleys of Alhaouz at the high atlas are a real paradise, several projects of accommodation are present, kasbah tamadot rose garden is among the best in my humble opinion. Very nice place, quiet, beautiful scenery, home top, nice staff and friendly, really nothing to say.
Magical room with a sublime view, beautiful gardens, original architecture of the rooms, hammam infrastructure, swimming pool ....

Let's be honest : you come here for the place. It is an amazing and beautifully decorated original kasbah who belonged in the past to a caid, with a spectacular view over the valley and splendid gardens with animals. The restaurant is good, nothing fantastic and frankly overpriced : steack at 270 dirhams + 30 dirhams for a side of French fries + 30 dirhams for a side of vegetables ; desserts are exorbitantly expensive : 120 dirhrams for a pineapple baba ; and 55 dhs for an expresso (very good I have to admit). Wine list is good, but there too overpriced : 800 dhs for a bottle of Chateau Rislanne (500 everywhere else).
Will be back for sure as really loved the place , but Sir Branson should work a bit more on the restaurant side....

So disappointing. Took the drive from Marrakech to enjoy the views and finally see this famous property. While the grounds were not as charming as we expected, the lunch was barely mediocre. Moroccan salad looks and at best tastes worse than the average tourist trap, the chicken breasts were scrawny and tasteless. The cheese selection looked and tasted like it was swiped from a Costco party tray. Seriously, a major let down served up at super expensive prices.
