The parent company of Karstadt. I have never seen such a small and cute Karstadt. Of course, it cannot keep up with the variety of brands from its own stores in large cities. But it is definitely worth a visit and offers a wide range of consumer goods.

Large assortment, if slightly crammed. Elevator is available. Quieter only in the upper floors - down is pretty much something going on. Seller nice.

A historic department store and in relation to the branches in big cities very small. The coffers on the floors you have saved and the central cashier was often poorly staffed. I have the feeling that many jobs have been saved there. Nevertheless, there often clothes and shoes and sometimes even bought a suitcase. Four stars, because you keep this trunk branch alive. Otherwise in my eyes rather three.

Unfortunately we had to make very bad experiences with very unfriendly staff. Compared to older generations, they were probably nice and open-minded, compared to us students looked very different. Both at the consultation and at the cash register. Here, the card reader is also outdated, which is why it partially does not work and of course does not contribute to the good mood of the seller.
Choice is ok, compared to other Karstadt branches rather poor.
Unfortunately also for a regular branch relatively little equipped with the history of the enterprise.

Nice that there are still such well-stocked shops including Putt un Pann.

You also like to focus on the architecture. For example, the stairs is a force. The "floating" bars are also nice to look at. The view of Wismar is wonderful there.

A slightly smaller Karstadt and the division into two buildings is also strange at first. Nevertheless, I like to go there. Good assortment and nice staff.
It seems to be the original Karstadt and therefore something special.

Karstadt is nothing where you can get bargains. The range is well sorted. Nice underwear, good clothes for men, dishes and jewelry. You can always find something when you are looking for a gift. Something for the whole family. The staff are nice and advise well.

Well located in the city first Karstadt department store of the Federal Republic of Germany / parent house. Small but fine and good assortment with some cheap offers. We often look over here and always find something that you need or happen to find.
Friendly staff always very helpful, family run.
Not only are we welcome here, but also our four-legged friends / dogs.

Karstadt is very bad on after sale service, their product has caused me face skin allergy on face and nose, but then they refused to refund me, as my friend paid the item by card. The staff told us it is their policy. But my friend is far away from Wismar, he did not stay here. After long discussion, the staff only agreed to offer gift card.

We writed to Karstadt by email. The branch manager replied that it is a COURTESY of their branch to offer the gift card and she refused to do any further actions. With this overwhelming spirit of Karstadt, I'm proudly to say that, I WON'T BE VISITING THEM ANYMORE.

When I'm in Wismar I go to Karstadt. This is the parent company of Karstadt. The original office (office) from the past is still on the ground floor.
Since it is a very small department store, there is also little goods. Hardly survivable in times of Amazon and Co.

Very unfriendly shop assistants who are more concerned with myself than looking after customers. One has the impression "Attention, customer threatens with purchase". And I have not only once experienced this experience in Wismar. Simply zero service oriented. Too bad....

Narrow, limited offer, nothing special. Very old-fashioned, toilets old and poorly maintained. Something else is up to date.
