I picked up my new car last night and the service was phenomenal. I looked at another dealer for a similar vehicle and did not have near the experience that I had with Karl Chevrolet. Mike McNeley was awesome to work with.

I bought my new 2016 Silverado and I must say i'm not only really happy with my new truck but i'm very happy about the experience and service I have received
my sales rep mark Hermosillo right from the minute I walked in mark was able to assist me with a very friendly no pressure approach made me feel very comfortable and confident about my purchase
he also did a very good job and walking me through the truck and showing everything i'm very pleased with the service and until this day he continues to make me feel like i'm a valued customer not like other sales men i've delt with at other dealerships and ignored me after the sale was made
I would recommend this dealership and sales man to anyone!

Great experience and always someone available to get the answers you need. Worked with a number of great people. Including Mike McNeley, our salesperson, who made sure we explored all our options since we were wavering a bit about which car we wanted. He was patient with our indecisiveness and ultimately got us in a great car that we are very happy with. Worked with Brian Jeffords to get our purchase and financing all wrapped up and that was the most pleasant experience I've had when doing all the fun paperwork, extended warranties, etc.

Great Chevy dealer. They have solar powered electric vehicle charging. But it is only level 2. Still they have more EV charging than any dealer I know of and it is free. They even let non-Chevy vehicles charge. Their car was is brush-less and reasonably priced.

I initially had a negative service experience at Karl's, but had dealt with them enough to know that this was an unusual occurrence. After I contacted them, they literally went the extra mile by coming all the way to Marshalltown, picking up my Silverado, taking it back to Ankeny for service, and returned it in a prompt fashion. That's why Karl's is our first choice for service and when we need a new vehicle.

Karls is the place to buy a vehicle plain & simple. I have bought 2 cars through Karls 1 new,1 used. The selection seems unlimited, the customer service is second to no one and about anything car related accessories on the planet.

Karl Moyer is a man of integrity. A man that cares about his customers. Its nice to know that when you call the dealership and ask for Karl. Guess what. He answers if he's there. Loyalty is a trademark of Karl Chevrolet. I will continue to give him my business. I wish Karl and his business great success.

The service once you get in may be ok but the gals outside putting people in order don't have a clue. They moved me around in different lines so I then had two who came after me get serviced ahead of me at Quick Lube. It's a joke. I've been a loyal customer but that may change. Those girls just point and motion at this vehicle and that. No clue what they are doing.

I will never return to this dealership- bought a certified preowned captiva that turned out to have engine issues then and ongoing after purchase- I wanted to trade it then and was told by salesman it doesn t work that way - the vehicle was a lemon from the start engine and other problems besides and the deals on trading the vehicle they sold me weren t any better than offered elsewhere

Please be patient with my little story. One week before we left for our 3week vacation out of the country, my wife's car an Chevy Impala was backed into. The individual that backed into our car also has State Farm insurance. State Farm claims was nothing short of a extreme headache. Karl's collision center was fantastic. They said not to worry about the car and enjoy your vacation. Will we was on vacation we received emails from State Farm saying they sent checks to us paying for the car. The cars were to be sent directly and made out to Karl. I received one call from Karl Chevrolet, your car is done and ready for pickup on your return. Thank you Karl Chevrolet.

Originally had agreed to a price match on four tires. Did not initially receive that price match, but was charged full retail (about $15 per tire). Had to call to explain situation. Was told I would get a call back. On that call, I was told I wasn't going to get the price match, that GM/Karl doesn't do that kind of match and was given an extra qualification that wasn't even on the website ad (merchant had to be within 50 mile radius). After reading exactly the ad and proving all qualifications (including the one NOT mentioned in Karl's price match ad), I had to wait for another 'I'll check with my manager on that' time period. 5-8 min later, I was told that, yes, indeed, we will give you the original agreed upon price. While it was great that I eventually received the original agreed upon price, I feel the steps necessary to get there were excessive and a bit aggravating.

When I went to pick it up everything was ready. All the paper work was on the desk ready for signatures, the note on my old one was paid off, the refund on my extended warranty was there. basically, drop my old one off and take off in my new one. I loved it.

The trouble I had was with a part that would be covered under warranty (up to 60K miles) and I was at 62K when I brought it in. The service guy said there was nothing he could do to cover the work. The funny thing is I had previously bought a certified car at Karl's years ago and the same issue occurred... a part failed that was just out of warranty. But that time Karl's covered it. So I am left with the belief the service guy did not do all he could for me. I have been religious about getting my car's service at Karl's and only Karl's. I just did not feel like my loyalty was worth anything. The part was $128 and labor was $178. I was not even offered anything but me paying full price. If the service guy would have said I can't get the part covered but we will cover the labor if you pay for the part, I would felt much better.

Now I am left with wondering how much my loyalty buys me at Karl's.

I called in to see if the vehicle I purchased was still available and spoke to Mark Van Gorkom(salesperson). He said it was available and that he could show me the vehicle, and when would I like to drive it. I said within the hour. He told me how to get to the dealership and where to go within the parking lot. He wasn t available but told Matt another salesperson to assist me until he could see me. (I appreciated that greatly) Matt was very gracious, and assisted me for several minutes, giving me quite a lot of information on the vehicle, until Mark was available. Mark took over and he was very professional ( which I was relieved coming from another Chevrolet dealership which was within a couple miles from my house, where the Salesperson was very unprofessional) I looked and drove the same model at the previous dealership, which the only difference was the other dealerships Terrain had 2000 less Miles and a different color, and was $2000 dollars cheaper. Mark was So respectful, knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease. He made the car buying experience much less stressful. It was 5 40pm when I spoke to Brett the finance person. I told him I could pick the vehicle up on Monday. He said he would get it financed and ready to take it home that night. (Very impressed, even though I was totally fine with coming back on Monday.). They got me on the road by 6:05 pm in my new vehicle. I had to return on Monday because of an issue with the memory seat button. It was no problem, they looked at it while Olga explained all the features inside my SUV. She too was very professional and knowledgeable. I left the dealership extremely happy and well taken care of. I would definitely refer people to purchase a vehicle from Karl Chevrolet.

The Salesman Keith Monthei has always been very knowledgeable on the Chevy Silverado product with me over the years. His professionalism is second to none. He has always treated me fair on my dealings over the years. The paperwork was ready and took very little time. Ray was the person that did my paperwork. Very pleasant guy. And since this was a new model to me Onka ( I think that was her name and not sure if I spelled it right) was very helpful and knowledgeable in getting my on-star account set up and going over the new features on the 2020 Silverado. She was a peach! Thanks for everything you do!

I recently had someone back into my car in a parki...

I recently had someone back into my car in a parking lot. After looking around and asking around I decided to take my car to Karl's collision center.I am very meticulous with my car so finding the right shop was a big deal for me. People had told me that Karl's would be a bit more expensive than other collision centers but they would do the best job. The insurance company of the person who hit me was paying for the service. His insurance company had their own estimator come out to determine what needed to be repaired. This included repainting the entire bumper cover, hood, and partially painting the fender. The headlight had to be replaced as well. My car had some rock chips in those areas and Karl's told me that in order to get those fixed I would have to pay $250 or else they would just spray over the chips in the hood. Spraying over the hood would leave bumps all over the repainted area and would look bad. I had no problem paying this since I had been told that Karl's would do the best job. Unfortunately this was not the case. Karl's called me about a week later saying my car was complete. When I went to get my car, the headlights were misaligned (the one they replaced was much further out and lower than the other) and the edges of the back of the hood looked really rough. I sent the car back The estimator from Karl's called me up the next day and stated that the hood had been like that before they worked on it and they weren't required to fix it. I explained that it had not been like that before and the insurance company and I were paying for the entire hood to be done. The estimator then told me that they had just painted over the already existing clear coat on the car. Previously he had told me that in order for the paint to stick you had to remove the existing clear coat. Once I told him this he said they would fix it. When I came to pick up the car again the headlight had been fixed but the edge of the hood did not look perfect. I decided I would live with this and if they didn't fix it the first time they wouldn't the second. The other problem I found is that the bumper right next to the headlamp had clumps of paint. Previously it was hidden by the low headlight. I brought this up to the estimator and once again he said it was like that before they had it and that it was "flash" from the mold used to create the bumper. This was not true. The estimator brought up how he did not want to fix it since it would cost them 800 dollars to fix the problem (the bumper would have to be completely repainted). It was not my fault that they did not do it right the first time.

After 2 weeks I finally got my car back in what was supposed to take less than a week. Never once did anyone apologize for the mistakes that were made and instead I was always told that my car was like that from the start. Karl's did not want to own up to their mistakes. The estimator and the receptionists were extremely rude and disrespectful to me once I brought up any problems with my car.

I would never recommend Karl's to anyone after my disastrous time with them. I feel very fortunate that the insurance company was paying for a majority of the service because, if not, I question if Karl's would have fixed any of the errors they made.

Bottom line: Karl's Collision Center lacks integrity, honesty, and any form of customer service.

Purchased a 2017 CPO Sonic from Karl Stewart in January 2018. Powertrain warranty was supposed to be good until 100k miles or 2024. Girlfriend took car in today to Ankeny because it wasn't starting right. Left with $300 bill and told it wasn't covered under warranty. Guess the CPO badge doesn't mean anything. Won't buy anything from Karl again or go there for service. Feel like we've been scammed.

After oil change my pickup was parked on an incline and the parking brake was engaged. Since I never use my parking brake it was stuck. When I drove my pickup to the service department, they informed me I could make an appointment for a week later. I drove home with excess deceleration and my right rear break heated up. I took my pickup to a local mechanical who freed the stuck break in a minute and a half at no charge.

Being retired on a fixed income I have to watch my finances closely. I know there are independent shops that can do a oil change for 40 to 60 per cent less. I was thinking about going to one of these shops with this oil change. In my email there was a message that stated that there is a $10.00 discount during select hours at Karl Chevrolet. I took this offer so that I could save the $10.00. Another Chevrolet dealership in the area has their oil change price normally $5.00 less than the same oil change as Karl's. Maybe a dealership should start a seniors discount program for people on fixed incomes.

A friend of mine told Taylor what I had been looking for in a truck, so last Saturday he had everything ready for my Wife and I. It was a very painless experience. Had to bring the truck back in to have it accessorized today, Taylor kept me well informed on the progress, when I came in to pick it up I met Hannah and she was very helpful and could answer my questions.

My husband (John) and I have bought two vehicles f...

My husband (John) and I have bought two vehicles from Nate Cracraft at Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny, IA. The first was a new Chevrolet Silverado a couple years ago for John. With that purchase, John knew exactly what he wanted. Simply put, we were shopping for the best price for a specific vehicle. We were working with some other dealers at the same time that Nate at Karl Chevrolet was helping us and hands down, Nate was more attentive and quicker to respond to all of our questions than anyone else we had talked to at any other Chevrolet/GMC dealership. Nate was able to get us the BEST price on the Silverado we were wanting (no games, straight forward - best deal/no finagling or bargaining to deal with) over all the other dealers we had talked to. Being an accountant, conscious of details (the numbers) and this being the biggest purchase we had ever made (other than our home) I was nervous. Nate spent the time going through all the details with us and helping us evaluate all financing options. We were and still are beyond pleased with our decision to purchase our Silverado from Nate at Karl Chevrolet.

In May of 2013 I began looking for a new vehicle. I was not sure what I wanted. I had jumped around from the idea of a Malibu, Impala, Acadia, Traverse, and many other makes and models, both new and used. So we began our search by reaching out to Nate to get some specifics on some vehicles we had seen on Karl Chevrolet's lot. For SIX months, Nate answered every e-mail (I counted +40 in my sent items folder) and phone call promptly and was nothing but pleasant, patient and helpful every time. During this entire time, he knew that I was also looking at vehicles at other dealerships (given I wasn't certain I wanted a new Chevrolet or a used vehicle on their lot) and this did not impact his service to John and I with this purchase. He was not pushy at all. I never felt pressured and honestly believed he wanted to help us make the right decision for us, no matter how long it took to find the right vehicle. Super patient, helpful and all around very enjoyable to work with (which are words I cannot use to describe some of the other sales people we worked with at other dealerships during this process). We finally made a decision on a new Traverse and are so happy with our purchase!

So to sum it up - If you want the BEST service, from a super patient, super helpful salesperson that can get you the BEST price - call or e-mail Nate Cracraft at Karl Chevrolet.

This review is hard to write as the work was done beyond my expectations. However, the final bill was $450+ over the estimate without any explanation. I was told the work would be done in a week and it took almost 4 weeks. Communication was nonexistent unless I initiated it. When they did give me information they indicated one thing and did another. Never got returned phone calls. All in all it was a bad experience. I plan to report this to my insurance company as they are supposed to be a preferred repair shop. I had high hopes - but was let down by the service.

Rude employee!! Today, March 13, 2019, I called to cancel an appointment with the body shop to have our Equinox repaired. We had not decided which body shop to use and wanted more time to do some research. The estimator I had been working with was very rude when I told him this. He was snotty and said they would charge our insurance company a re-stocking fee on any parts that were ordered. First of all, our appointment was for the 25th, twelve days away. I doubt they had ordered any parts for it. Second, they are a Chevrolet dealer that orders directly from Chevrolet (GM). They order and return parts every day, I doubt they pay re-stocking fees. Third, this is an Equinox, GM literally made a million of them. They could use the parts on another one if they did not return them. I wouldn't have written this review if I was not angered about the treatment I received. I was not rude to him in any way. Google won't allow me to give them zero stars, so I had to give one star. That is an over-rating! Now, I know we will not use Karl for any type of work in the future. To Karl Chevrolet: Don't even bother posting a response. I know it is only lip service to make you look good. You won't do anything!
