Like the rest of Homer, this place is just the right blend of friendly while not being in your face while shopping. Anything seriously marine is here. I also like their shipping services for locals. Clothing line is high quality, marine boating gear is serious stuff for the fishing fleet but even a kayaker can find some gear here.

Omgosh, awesome store! I was looking for rain gear and found several options here but Finally had to decide on one and went with Helly Hanson. Quality, variety and good prices. Short on mirrors in the store though.

A necessary place that happens to be very well stocked and run.

This place is great for a outdoor gear except for firearms and ammo. If the gun counter guy doesn't know you you can wait over a half hour before he ever acknowledges you. Quicker to go to Ulmers where the gun counter appreciates your business.

I love this store. It's like a Boatbuilders dream store. They're much better stocked than anywhere else in Alaska. Especially for a small community like Homer. I highly recommend this place.

Place has a awesome selection of fishing, hunting and guide gear. We have hit the sale labor day weekend the last 2 times we were in Homer.

We won't believe all the gear this store has.
The prices are high, but the gear is top notch. You can't find this quality anywhere else. I've been to hundreds of suppliers stores from north,south, east and west. Many of them three or four times larger, yet this store has everything you honestly will need with no question of quality.
Highly recommended.
And if you drive one of these, you can park up front. Lol..

The employees are really eager to help with what ever your needs from boat repair to boot repair. From boating to fishing or hunting if you need gear they've either got or will get it.

Great place to pickup a variety of commercial boat supplies and work and fishing- hunting clothing. They seem to have a little of everything.

Need rubber boots, fishing gear or fittings it's a great place but clothing prices are too high.

Has everything you need to get you out o and about. Sells outdoor gear like carhart and walls, fishing equipment like poles and tackle, nets and larger commercial fishing supplies. They also have a gun counter and camping/ hunting equipment. You can use them as a freight forwarding service.

The gear shed is the perfect place to grab all the gear needed when out at sea. Has everything from clothing to tools.

Terrible prices, nowhere near the selection they used to have

I wish these guys had a location in the kenai/Soldotna area. If you are into serious fiberglassing, this is really your only serious option i've seen on the kenai peninsula. They carry proper and quality products for serious fiberglass work and at lower 48 prices. They also carry guns, knives and everything marine. It's basically like a small sportsman's warehouse and taps plastics together. The whole store seams about the size of Spenards builder supply. People here are very friendly and they seam to have it together.

Any thing you need for your boat; they got it. Plus for those of us who are particularly bad at finding things, they'll help you out with that as well.

I bought an emergency bag ... useful in the prevention or treatment of hypothermia. It's also wind and waterproof. Reflects body heat back to the body.

Great place for when you need outdoor gear always has discounts and things on sale I'm always getting outdoor cloths and boots for my kids !

Great selection of items! I was very disappointed in the customer service. When looking at fishing gear, the staff was discouraging to fish at all. He told us that all salmon was done and we should go talk to others. How upsetting! I would expect to get help on where and how to fish the area... And help us on what to buy to make it happen. We will visit other stores.

If you need it, they have it. I'd they don't have it, you don't need it!

Poor customer service from the clothing manager who leaves at 3 PM every day.
She refused to refund two pairs of hip waders that leaked after 6 hours of use. The Frog Toggs for woman and kids are worthless.
Highest prices in Homer. Ulmers has waders for half the price and they last 50 times longer.,

For clothes, prices are reasonable to extravagantly high

Very very rude service today when I wanted to return items I did not need. I bought a inflatable online used and needed a repair kit and foot pump last week. Decided it wasn't worth repairing so I bought a new inflatable at the gear shed. It came with repair kit and foot pump. So I returned the ones I had bought. You would have thought I was the worst customer ever. My wife just walked away. We were Prepared to drop another 500 that day on a longline. He was also rude to the next customer who wanted to order carharts that they didn't have in stock. That customer just left disgusted. I guess he was having a bad Monday.

They have any gear you might have accidentally left at home. Everything front clothes, Hunting / Fishing Supplies, to Boots, and items you might know you need but wish you had.

This may be my favorite store in Homer.

It boasts a plethora of marina, boat, ship, tackle, & similar supplies.

The staff is always knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.

My only wish for change here is that they would be open later hours.
