Place is upstanding!! Really good venue for a great staycation! Blueberry mojitos are the best!

I enjoyed it. Neat atmosphere. Waitstaff friendly, however I feel they could have been more attentive. Food was good. I think it may have been an anomaly that my grits came out cold. Portions were more than expected.... 5*for the tequila selection and explanations given. Overall good experience.

It is beautiful! So fun, but one of those that charges for everything. The kid activities through the day are fun but they charge so watch out.

Our family has stayed here several times and this summer was by far the best experience we've ever had. They have assembled a great team in San Antonio. Staff went out of their way to provide awesome customer service and made our whole family feel welcomed and special. We could not have asked for a better stay. I would rate them 7 stars if allowed! Will definitely keep us coming back.

Very nice place. We were treated very well. It's really big so lots of walking from amenities to room. Over all swanky resort and loved it!!

Lots of fun for the whole Family! Something for everyone...

Our family stayed for a couple days after Christmas 2017 and we enjoyed ourselves extensively. We have small children and the JW had lots of activities lined up to entertain and engage them. The restaurants on site are worth visiting and the sports bar was fantastic with some of the best available viewing in San Antonio.

This place is like a castle on a hill. Great rooms, awesome views, friendly staff, tasty restaurants, gorgeous pool area, relaxing spa... I could go on and on. The conference area is excellent too. Oscar Valdez never misses a single detail and is awesome to work with!

If you're going to visit the JW, visit it in the middle of the week during the quieter season. Gorgeous grounds, beautiful views, and you get the pools practically to yourself. No lines anywhere. If you ask for a room with double beds, the bed size is a full, NOT a queen. Extremely comfy, but on the smaller side.

The location is awesome, close but not too close to the city. The rooms are spacious, and the service is awesome. So much to do here. Only wish I had stayed longer.

Amazing experience! We loved having everything in one place, and took full advantage of the water park. The High VeIocity Bar had surprisingly good food, and the service was amazing all around. It was perfect for our family weekend getaway. We will definitely be back.

I made a delivery to a client at the hotel. I was very impressed by the concierge service along with service desk. In addition to the luxurious grounds and accommodations, the service I received in order to further provide excellent service to their customer was exceptional.

This resort is amazing however the hospitality shown by Josh Spurlock puts this place over the top!! This is the 2nd summer in a row we've visited and thanks to Josh's outstanding customer service, we will definitely be returning every year from here on out. I would highly recommend this resort over any other resort in south Texas! Nobody else comes close!!!

Overhype - average coarse - horrible people - horrible service, i have been to a lot of 5 Star Resorts - this will never be better than a 2

I think I've been here about 5 times now. The wow factor has wore off in some sense, but it's still a very nice venue. I also admit I haven't ventured out to every corner of the resort, so I'm sure there's plenty to do that I haven't seen. Staff is great, service is top notch

This I a great place for conventions. Friendly staff help you navigate where you need to go. Kids love the waterslides and lazy River pool.

Beautiful place. Pricey but worth it in my opinion.

This was a genesis spot for our annual meeting. The staff was very attentive, all audio and visual needs were met, and the good options were plentiful and delicious.
I especially liked that the highlighted -the regional cuisine. Some attendees never left the property except to wander to the lovely grounds!
All amenities are here:clothes cleaning, shoe and boot shine, good shopping, etc.
Worth the visit! There are packages that drop the prices coming to my email all the time.
All the rooms were very comfortable with plenty of space and good lighting.

Excellent atmosphere for family and friends to visit while on vacation. The bars, restaurants, shops, and amenities are all 1st class and service was top notch. Lazy river, pool, and golf course provide the perfect supplements to a hotel that delivers on what it advertises.

I came here for the Stars at night run and a lot of the guests seemed to be perturbed by our presence. Friendly staff though and beautiful Christmas lights.

We stayed over at the JW Marriott after running a half marathon. The run was an absolute blast, and while we ran it my mother-in-law took our daughters to enjoy some fun Christmas events the hotel was hosting. These included ginger bread house decorating and elf school. The kids had a blast. The room was nice, but the extras at the hotel were what made our short trip fun.

Great service. Very accommodating. Had a long night and requested a 2PM checkout and they were happy to do so at not additional charge.

It's a lovely place. It is the biggest I've ever stayed in -- a water park, several restaurants, a separate building for a spa, and a golf course. The staff is accommodating and courteous although I wouldn't say especially friendly or warm. Overall it's been a pleasant stay, but for all the "luxuries" I would have preferred the basic amenities. We did not have a microwave and there is no daily cleaning service. They will come every 4 days or you can decline that service and earn points on your rewards account. I found it tedious to request towels, toilet paper, tissues, and water bottles regularly.

An elegant resort that it's staff is efficient, friendly, and very helpful. Highly recommended.

It was nice, I went when the weather was not the best but it was still a fun time with my family. The pool was nice and relaxing and the slides were fun even if you don t golf the golf course is a nice walk. Rooms were clean, everywhere looked and smelled clean and the breakfast was good. As far as covid procedures people didn t wear masks and nobody corrected them to wear mask, I was uncomfortable with the KARENS AND CHADS not wearing masks, but the employees didn t correct them for it, and that was the worst part. That is my only complain.

This place is out of this world employees are cheerful and polite grounds are immaculate perfect place for a family vacation I can play golf in the morning and then the family can spend time at the fabulous water park great restaurants great bars if there is one drawback the price of the food and drinks is ridiculously high in the bar and restaurant but considering where you are staying it's to be expected other than that we will be back soon

This place is a COVID super spreader waiting to happen. The restrictions for COVID (social distancing, masks, no large groups) were widely flaunted by guests with no consequence. Even my son was like - there s too many people and no masks. Shameful.

My company treated us to a day spa and it was wonderful! I d love to go and just vacation there!

Really enjoyed my stay at the JW Marriott. The staff was friendly, the faculties were clean, and the food at the restaurant was so delicious! My family liked the location so much we took some family photos!

Beautiful place...but issues. First...entered our room to find uneaten food, half cookie, red bull and someone used the toilet and didn't flush. Unpleasant. Scuttlebutt with room...assured it was ours, gonna send cleaning crew, but there was a welcome note to diff party in the room. Moved rooms. Room not as pretty. No compensation for the inconvenience. No remote control for tv in room, had to call for one, took forever. Then had probs with the tv... kept freezing, called down, but no fix. No compensation for the inconvenience. Finally ordered room service, very expensive, only dish that was yummy were mashed potatoes. Chicken dry, shrimp icky texture, not warm and no flavor. We left the chicken and shrimp on the plate.
Those things disappointing.

Pricey, and in the middle of nowhere... But extremely nice rooms and facilities. Huge conference center that can hold very large groups.

I am a local, but went to the JW for a spa package and lunch. It was one of the best days I've had. The services and staff were exceptional. Loved it!

Great place to relax. Kids love it. Stayed there several times and no complaints. Plenty to see and do. Service is great. Wife lost wallet and they mailed it home. Great professional staff.
