Was there for a wedding in the International Ballroom. Management and bar staff were wonderful and offered great service, however we had a plated dinner and our server was very rude to the table. The food was definitely not worth the $100 price tag either.
Great location, super comfortable bads, luxurious bathroom, super knowledgeable and polite staff. Julia at concierge level is superb. Outstanding!
Food was reasonably priced and fantastic. Service was excellent.
We went for the breakfast buffet. It's one of our favorites because of the food quality and variety. The staff is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming.
The ballroom is a very nice location to have an event downtown. I was at a dinner for 1,000 people and the service was fantastic.
Beautiful hotel settled in the heart of Grand Rapids. Room was spacious and we'll appointed. As Marriott Elite member I was disappointed in the Executive Level lounge. Breakfast was below what I have experienced in other Marriott locations. No hot meal and basic cereal and fruit. Too bad for such a nice hotel.
International ballroom for Boyscout annual Eagle scout celebration was great. Got to see Jack Harbaugh speak. What a great inspirational speaker!!!
The staff at the JW were very friendly and helpful! The hotel was very nice and clean.
My favorite JW is the country - they over perform both when I m a customer and when I m an event planner.
I love this place! I travel quite a bit and this is by far one of the nicest Marriott properties I've ever been to. The customer service is outstanding as well; from the moment you pill up, the bellmen are right there to help with anything you may need.
Great location and nice staff. Would definitely come again for another stay.
The staff is polite and helpful, and the hotel is clean and updated. Also the rooms have a nice view of the city.
So fat everything has been great. It's a really nice hotel.
One of the most underrated spots in Grand Rapids. Drinks are good and the atomsphere is great. Great view of river. Definitely the spot for nice conversation.
Great hotel and staff. Restaurant way over priced.
$60. For serve your self breakfast plus $12. Tip.
Nice Staff also love that they have a starbucks inside
A very nice hotel with comfortable and modern rooms. The staff is very friendly and the location is very nice.
The rooms are clean and excellent, the staff is friendly and very accommodating. The views are all beautiful. The location of the hotel is prime for experiencing Grand Rapids, in walking distance to many restaurants, bars, museums, etc.
The Marriott is a great hotel to stay at. It's got a beautiful view of downtown Grand Rapids.
One of the nicest hotels in Grand Rapids, beautiful river views
It looks really nice on the inside but the guy i delivered the pizza to didnt tip.
Great hotel, g
reat location
I absolutely loved my stay at JW Marriott! The staff was helpful and kind and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The view from my room was absolutely stunning! I highly recommend staying here if at all possible! You couldn t ask for better accommodations!
I was picking up a friend and went into to the front lobby. What a nice place the staff was amazing.
beautiful place to stay. Great food options and close to everything downtown. Nice pool area and great rooms with views!
Expected more for the price. View of GR from the 18th floor was pretty cool though.
We were only there for 1 night but enjoyed it. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The food at Six one Six was good. Room was nice. Showerhead was wonderful!
The room facing the river was excellent. The view is absolutely gorgeous at night. $35/night for valet or $32 for self park, do the valet.
Easy in and out, staff amazing as always, rooms spacious and clean.
Wonderful food and service at 616 for lunch and a work holiday gathering.
Went for the Thanksgiving buffet. It was ok but there were no mashed potatoes.
Tasty cocktails and a good dessert selection. Bar staff is engaging, funny, and prompt. Enjoyed our evening there greatly.
Chic hotel right on the water. Had a few drinks on the terrace by the water in the sun. Service was not good.
We just used the parking garage and only walked through the hotel.
I attended a work event in a ballroom. It was easy to find from the parking garage. The space was large and easy to maneuver. Bathrooms and coat check were easy to spot. Signs directing to different areas were nice and helpful. The staff were polite and willing to help.
Didn't stay overnight, just met friends for drinks and food. Drinks and food were good though.
I stayed there for my honeymoon in March nice room it was quiet.
Great drinks, great service, awesome jazz band in the courtyard. Food is amazing. Highly recommend.
Attended awards luncheon for Best and Brightest Companies to work for. Construction downtown was a little difficult to navigate, but no fault of the JW. Used valet parking, it was pretty quick despite the large crowd. The event was nice and managed well.
Beautiful atmosphere! The architecture is impeccable and the service is great!
Great location, views and amenities. If you're in Grand Rapids this hotel puts you close to everything, even when its freezing outside!
Beautiful hotel!!! Love where it's located close to lots of different places.
A great place to go for lunch or to have a or a few casual drinks with a friend or friends. I went here for lunch at the one six one bistro that is located inside. This place was very clean and seemed very accommodating to the guests the were staying there. Even to the ones such as myself that was just there for lunch the staff was very pleasant. This hotel has a souvenir shop inside along with Starbucks etc. The bathroom was to die for so clean I was so impressed. Even though I should not have been considering where it was located but still some high end places have their flaws too but here it wasn't any flaws... Well at least I didn't see any.
Beautiful hotel, great service, always love staying in Marriott hotels.
The food I had was delicious. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was very enjoyable. If you are exceedingly hungry I might opt for the filet mignon as there was not a lot with the Mahi but if you just want a unique and delicious meal it works. The service was a little slow but I wasn't in a hurry so it was fine.
Very nice hotel. My room wasn't ready upon arrival, the bathtub was dirty and parking was kind of expensive. The rest of the room was super clean. I didn't like that after I checked in I went to a wedding and stopped at the room to change shoes after the ceremony, and the maids had come to the room and moved my stuff around, to the point that my shoes were placed in different bags. That was very strange to me.
Gorgeous hotel, friend staff, fun 4th of July party, Elvis makes the best breakfast omelets
It's always a toss up as to whether we stay at the Amway Grand Plaza or the JW Marriott when we are in GR for business or pleasure. Can't say enough great things about the hotel. Staff is excellent. Rooms are always clean and spacious. Concierge level accommodations are top notch. Great experiences every single time.
Awesome place to stay. Great location. Great bed. Would recommend to family and friends.
Great views. Great service. Excellent made-to-order omelets! Cool Eucalyptus sauna.
12th Floor river view was sweet (Girlfriend took the "trendy" photo) and the falling snow made it even better. We were extremely happy with the bedroom, bathroom amenities and used the Bluetooth speakers to jam out to Christmas songs whenever we were in the room.
We also did a couples massage and felt that the spa facilities were very relaxing. Pool and hot-tub area is nice but there was a ton of little kids screaming, which was as relaxing as it sounds.
Four stars because we had really bad service while listening to the live jazz/blues band. It was extremely difficult to even flag someone down, so it took 45 minutes to get a martini and another hour after to get another one. I would have gladly had 4 or 5 instead of 2 (same with my GF) so they lost out on some money in that aspect. Order two at a time if you're ever there and are planning on staying around.
Breakfast was great the next day-- food was fresh on the buffet, and my ordered meal was fantastic as well.
Great view and silky smooth accommodations. Got woozy looking down over the rail to see a jazz trio, but that's all on me, folks. Pricey rooms, but atmosphere amkes up for it. 9/10 would lay down to sleep again.
Great views outside in their cabanas. Good drinks and a wonderful wait staff. It was bit on the pricey side, though you get what you pay for, overall a good experience.
Very nice room with a beautiful view of the Grand River. Liked the feel in the hotel. It has a very European feel. Towels & top sheet wasa little rough feeling for such an upscale hotel. Would definitely stay again. Breakfast buffet was very nice with good service.
Beautiful place. The staff was very hospitable. I was there on assignment to film a red carpet event. A few of my personal things were locked into a room and the staff sprung right into action to get me taken care of so I could get my equipment broken down and be on my way to the next assignment.
It's clean, it's nice to sleep in, the pool is good
Nice music playing overhead, pool on top floor, even the bathrooms are nice.
