Treated in the Emergency room,

Treated in the Emergency room,
during the end of Hurricane Irma and ultimately spending time on the Orthopedic Floor. I had excellent care. Every person I met gave wonderful care and enjoyed their jobs. The woman that cleaned my room was genuinely happy to see me get better ! Being a food person I would like to see maybe some oriental dishes and just less institutional style meals. A boiling bag system would solve cost fluctuations, variety as an example.

Great care service but the billing is a total confusion! You have a different account for each month, I guess this is so you are unaware of what your total out of pocket costs will be.

It took 6 months just to get a breakdown of services from the billing department. And then an outsourced accounts receivable person calls to say you are past due, before you even get a breakdown or your first bill.

Patient beware!

This place says they have a pediatric emergency room but do not waste your time. First, there was no one literally no one at the desk when we arrived and when we found someone to ask if there was anyone in pediatric emergency room it was as if I was asking for $1 million. After all the hassle, it seemed as if the doctors knew little about children s care. Honestly, we should have gone to a bigger hospital that knew what they were doing. This hospital claims they are great but we certainly didn t see it.

The parking here is dreadful for a facility this size. It's so bad there are actually cars parked out in the street.

We arrived on time for my wife's appointment, then they tried to tell us her procedure would be two and half hours late getting started. We threatened to reschedule and they finally whittled it down to an hour.

It's inexcusable that a professional organization treats their customers like their time has no value but they don't have any trouble getting that co-pay up front. It doesn't matter how nice or competent the staff are, for what you're paying you expect that. What matters is if they're competent, pleasant and ON TIME. Between their dismal on-time performance and the hideous parking, go somewhere else if you have any other option.

The ER Staff I encountered when I was there with my son were unprofessional and acted as though you were bothering them. I had to track them down and ask what the plan was, no follow up or checking in on us... We got there at 4:30 a.m., That doctor, he was great, once the day shift came on, I never saw the doctor, she never came in to check on my son in the next 7 hours even though he was having seizures. I hate Jupiter Medical and I will not be returning there. I have been there with my son twice in the last year, I am done with them. The ER nursing staff treated my son and I terribly.

Based upon my recent two night stay at Jupiter Medical Center for hip replacement surgery, I could not have hoped for a better experience. The orthopedic unit is beautiful with spacious rooms. All of the staff attending me were extremely competent and caring. I did not have a single complaint.

The hospital is trying very hard considering it is a non-academic, community hospital. I have had three procedures done at this hospital with generally good results. Like all hospitals, sometimes a situation results in a negative experience or outcome. This has happened to me at JMC but I am changing my prior rating from 2 stars to 4 stars after discussing the situation with a doctor. I had been critical of the pathology department for what I considered inferior work, but now I am convinced that the type of analysis they performed was difficult and often produces equivocal results. I do think they could do a better job at expediting samples to other laboratories. In my book 7 days for a tissue delivery is not "expedited service."

I had emergency surgery and was in the PCU for 8 days. My experience was excellent from start to finish. The availability of the nurses was the best I have ever seen at any hospital. The quality of the staff was five star. The attention to detail and care from the nursing staff was first rate. The urgency when needed was on point each and every day no matter what time of the day. And the quality of the food was very good and enabled me to progress as planned. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone and everyone in need of medical care.
Thanks for a great experience.

According to leapfrog their c section rate is over...

According to leapfrog their c section rate is over twice the national average. A 65% section rate is unacceptable. They should really look into this and investigate why they are performing so many unnecessary surgeries. If you look at other hospitals in the area including other ones that don t do Vbacs (they can t use that as an excuse) they far pass them (average is 20-30%). Consider 6-7 out of 10 moms who come in will have a c section according to the data from leapfrog. Yikes.

They didn't listen to my problem, I was trying to explain to them what my problem was and they went on what I told them last time I visited, I felt rushed out of the hospital, they did no testing they gave me nothing to help with the pain. They pretty much discharged me when I was getting my vidals checked.

Went in for a full joint knee replacement with Dr Leighton. Pre-op was great, cannot fault them for that. Aftercare was horrible, I am a complicated case anyway, but I was in complete agony from recovery on. The nerve block that was supposed to last 12+hours wore off in recovery. Managing my pain wasn't managed at all, and I would never go back to those facilities.

I had visited JMC sometime ago concerning an injury that I wasn't sure of what they would be able to do about it. I had bitten my tongue. The Dr. was extremely professional and polite. I had returned to this facility recently and because of the situation I am in I was batting 1000 walking thru their doors to see if I could get help, I have no insurance. I was diagnosed with a cancer and had grown tired of going to the emergency rooms trying to get some pain meds until my insurance can be used, The Dr. understood my situation and helped me with my pain medication to the point that I don't have to worry about where my next prescription is going to be filled, My family cannot thank her enough for what she has done for us and I will use this facility for anything me or my family ever has again. Truly appreciate the help that has be given.

I have been through the ringer with my medical iss...

I have been through the ringer with my medical issues. My two saving Grace's have been my my support system at home, and the amazing staff here at Jupiter Medical Center. Not only have they given me tremendous care; however I have witnessed it first hand with others too and that is what this is about. In the ER room next to me I heard the ER nurse Elizabeth calm a lady with a suspected stroke as she was doing her I.V.. She was sincere and truly taking the time to listen to this lady instead of just jamming the IV in and moving on to the next patient. Another instance today where these nurses in IR are doing everything to help this other Patient work through her slue of procedures so they can all be completed in the proper order! As for my own experience I have only feelings of comfort for and compassion from these ladies. They truly make this horribly devastating experience bearable leaving me with confidence for my future. My full review of these true heroes will be given at a later date however I wanted to share the level of effort these men/women of JMC put forth everyday for no added reason but to give their absolute best!

Five Star without a doubt! The staff, from registration to PA was professional and caring. I felt well taken care of, listened to and asked all the right questions. I think Christine and Catlin were the best of the best! If I need medical assistance again, I will be right back to this office. Oops, almost forgot, I received a call back two days later to check on my care...can't beat the service and care!!! This review was for the Urgent Care Facility on PGA boulevard.

Cynthia Cowart in central scheduling has gone above and beyond for me with her customer service. Her kind and compassionate nature mixed with her professionalism made an challenging situation much easier for me. It's those little kind gestures that mean everything to a patient like myself. I am grateful to her for this. I wish all companies had customer service reps like her.

We took my mother here for a severe knee injury to...

We took my mother here for a severe knee injury today, and I am absolutely APPALLED by how she and I were treated by the staff. She was saddled with an incredibly rude nurse (unfortunately, I didn't get his name) who didn't care to give us the time of day, let alone manners or anything resembling human decency. We were forced to wait a ridiculous amount of time in triage and neglected by the nurse, who when my mother went outside to have a cigarette, laughed and said condescendingly that "she shouldn't be doing that anyway, it's so unhealthy" as if he doesn't understand the concept of an addiction. Even worse, he said it right outside the curtain where I, her daughter was sitting. I was then moved back to the waiting room to sit alone with no word on where my mom was for...an hour and a half. He also constantly harped on us about how "swamped" they were -- I swear to God, I heard him say that ten times over the course of our visit. The doctor was kind and helpful, the nurse? Not at all. At the end of the visit he gave her a knee brace about 10x her size and told her "it won't fit, but take it home anyway" and "I /could/ look for a smaller one, but we're soooo swamped right now". I understand being busy, and I sympathize completely, but last time I checked, you weren't supposed to use that to guilt trip your patients? Hmm. I also couldn't help but notice that the care went downhill as soon as the nurse found out that we no longer had insurance, which I thought was...concerning, to say the least.

Oh, yeah! Honorable mention: The sinks were really, really gross and unclean. There was a chewed piece of gum in one and dirt smeared on another, and it just seemed unsanitary. (if you're wondering if I'm exaggerating, I have pictures.)

I'm not trying to be uncivil, but I'm so frustrated by this experience. When you go to the hospital you expect to be cared about and cared for in a time of pain and need, and it added onto an already awful day when that was the opposite of what we got. I was unsettled by the lack of compassion from certain staff members and I doubt we'll be coming here again.

(Thank you very much to the staff members who were kind and genuine to us -- it meant a lot.)

Never go to Jupiter medical Center. My mother-in-law is dying because of their service.
1) The doctor proscribed wrong antibiotics, used it for 13 days, finally changed it to a different one , that started working right away.
2)Due to immobility she developed pneumonia, but doctor said that it is from aspiration, meaning that she cannot swallow the food and kept her 2 days without food and IV. After 2 days of keeping the patient dehydrated , he ordered barium swallow test, which my mother-in-law successfully passed.
3) After all this being done they stressed her so much that she got alkalosis ( low oxygen).
And now JMC is pushing Hospis to cover all their mistakes.
Never ever go to Jupiter Medical Center if you still want to live.
PS My mother-in-law came in with just UTI.

My visit at the ER was the worst experience with a medical institution ever. Lack of respect and empathy and interest towards patients. The doctor did not listen to the reason why I had come, so he found out several hours later when he was about to send me home...the personal lying to us, etc.... Really greatly disappointed.

Not impressed on the services. Seemed more like a social event. I was told nothing was wrong with me & discharged with scripts for naproxen and zero antibiotics while I was still In a lot of pain with chills and spotty fever that they couldn't seem to catch. Now the pain is 10 times worse. Oh but don't worry about some silly Google review now.. i am receiving some strong antibiotics. Hopefully it works out with having a heart condition for 33 years. Im sure they excel in other things that department.. Like billing. Can't wait to shut that train down.

Worst ER employees ever. I had to drive my mom there because she was anemic and she had less then half the blood she was suppose to have. It was truely tramatic for me, yet I didnt recieve any comfort from anyone. They told me my mom was gonna die yet the doctor rolled her eyes & didnt even look at her. It was terrible for me.The nurses werent as bad but I remember when the doctor was examining her she yelled at her when she misinterpert their directions to lay on her back. & it took 20mins for anyone to approach us & then they came for about 5 mins and then left for another 30. It was bad, but the hospital itself seems very clean & in the morning when we came back for a check up the people was much more nicer and approachable. But it was obvious that the ER Doctors was only there to get the money and go. If i knew her name i would be able to tell you but she has Glasses and Blonde hair probably in the late 40s early 50s. Terrible person

I was in there for cancer treatment in 2010 and in 2013. My nurse's first name was Gina Hess and she was so totally awesome. She was attentive, caring and helped me through a troublesome time while giving me excellent health care. She was my nurse when I was first treated in 2010 and she took such good care of me especially considering how nervous and scared I was. Now on the second time in 2013 when I had receive another round of treatment Gina Hess was there again. She was simply amazing, without her I don't think I would have been able to get through this. She calmed me down. She contacted my doctors for me. She kept me filled in with all that was going on. She made suggestions like gargling salt which worked perfectly. And she was always there for all my needs and wants. And doing all this with a smile on her face and a very positive attitude.Chemo is a terrible thing but with fine nurses like Gina Hess things are made tolerable. I hope the Jupiter Medical Center appreciates Gina as much as I do. Once again Gina, thank you for all you have done for me in both 2010 and 2013. You are an amazing person and an amazing nurse. I will never forget you. JMC stand up and take notice of you fine oncologist nurse, Gina Hess.

As I sit in the ER at JMC after 13 hours I am a bit disgusted with how awful the nurse is . He only washed his hands once while in and out of the room , and that was only after I called him out on it it ! He was rude and a bit of sarcasm was present . Maybe they are under staffed and he is feeling the pressure , but please wash your hands .
I have been waiting in this room with my 83 year old mother to be admitted for 13 hours . No one has offered her a drink or any food .
Also , as I have been here I have witnessed most of the Dr's , nurses and other staff enter and exit various rooms without washing their hands . Not by the sanitizers supplied outside of the room nor at the sink in the room . And barely any of the staff are wearing gloves. Unfortunately, I have to admit her and I'm hoping that the staff on the third floor where she is being transferred to will be a better experience for her . If not , I will transfer her to another hospital . I will say Dr . Tanabe was excellent . ) :

I would like to tell all parents how great the pediatric 3rd floor is. My daughter was admitted on a Friday evening dehidrated serious stomach pains could not keep anything down, the initial checkin was a bit bumpy and took awhile to get her looked at. There was a nurse named karen in the emergency area that was not very patient and very rude to my daughter that was throwing up in pain and she was not following even the Doctors Orders on procedure when he was working on my daughter she also got upset at him she was not professional at all. After about 8 hours in the emergency room she was taken to pediatrics 3rd floor they were the best here, the Doctors and nurses all of them were the nicest most patient i have ever met in a hospital, I cant say enough it was like she was there child. If any of u parents want a great hospital for your kids this is it, it seems with so many negative things we read about anymore I see there are still great people and professional's in the medical field. Very happy father and my daughter is all better and being released today.

Horrible experience. Staying for about 5 hours with my kid, still waiting for a specialist to arrive. They don't know when a specialist will arrive, keep saying "on his way". Asked if they can direct or advise, which other hospital have this specialist, but they refused to tell me, saying it's up to you to figure out. They didn't allow to give any food or drink to my kid saying that it will harm him. C'mon, 5 hours past, he is hungry, thirsty and hungry. It seams as torture to me, and I must pay big money for this mockery.

This really has to be the worst ER in the county. Literally go anywhere else. I had appendicitis and waited for HOURS in the waiting room, not even triage or a room. The surgeon finally came down and personally got a gurney and rolled me upstairs. That was last year. Yesterday my nephew was injured at work and had to go to the ER. I wish I would have told him to go somewhere else. Over 7 hours to be told they could not treat him and had to request a transfer to a different hospital with trauma for treatment. That took another few hours. They kept sending him back to the waiting room. Oh and there were blood soaked gauze in the trash bins in the triage room. That is bodily fluid and should have been in biohazard. My visit also included blood in the waiting room and triage room and employees just walking past it. This ER should be closed down. As for my surgeon and my stay at the hospital itself, that was the only positive.

I have spent a great deal of time in hospitals ove...

I have spent a great deal of time in hospitals over my lifetime, due to extensive medical issues. The latest being a surgical hernia from having my kidney removed from cancer. My surgeon Dr. Sayegh, I called because the pain had gotten too bad and surgery is scheduled for the 19th of August. He was beyond kind and told me to come to Jupiter ER as he would be there in the morning in case the surgery had to be pushed up. I have to say. From the moment I was wheeled in the doors of this hospital I have experienced the level of care I never have anywhere else. My Triage Nurse, Amanda, even though I was in pain was able to make me laugh and calm my fears due to the current state of the world. She is a joy and in the right career. My room was ready almost instantly and my Nurse Sonia was kind and calming and didnt make me feel in anyway as an inconvenience. The Dr. who was standing in the room when I was wheeled in. He had an amazing bedside manner and I just wish so many other doctors could learn from Dr. Burkler. He listened. Truly listened to me as a patient. And made me feel at ease with the care here. Even the CT tech that did my imagining who was named Matthew was amazing. He was careful of my pain and talked with me as a person, not just as a number. I was scared to go into a hospital during this time with the virus. But I didnt have a choice. I am telling you. If you have no choice but to seek medical help in this time. GO TO JUPITER MEDICAL. These people are true heros and need to be recognized as such. Thank you all. From a truly grateful patient.

I can't even describe the appreciation that I have for the Pediatric team at Jupiter Hospital. My daughter went in through the pediatric ER and ended up staying a few days. We were called right into the ER upon arrival where they immediately began diagnosing and caring for my daughter. Everyone from the ER to the 3rd floor pediatric unit went above and beyond to turn an unfortunate experience into a positive one. Brigitte is hands down one of the best nurses in the field! Dr. Prince was clearly born to be a pediatric physician! Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our daughter!

Jupiter Medical Center is always my favorite local hospital. My Mom was just in there for most of December. The nurses were really on the ball. This time because it was during the holidays, most of mom's doctors were on vacation, which was very unfortunate but the staff did everything they could to help. I wish we could have stayed there as I believe the transfer to Kindred was the major contributing cause of her death. Go to Jupiter Med for the best care and stay there!!

I just had my first baby boy delivered at this incredible hospital last week. Although the labor and delivery floor was extremely busy that day, the doctor(Dr.Iannaccone) ,nurses (Kelly, Amanda, Charlotte, Jill) and staff were so caring, patient and efficient. The Lactation nurse consultants, Carrie & Laura, were very helpful, even after discharge they made themselves available to answer my questions. My experience way exceeded my expectations and I d have my baby there all over again!

Just wanted to thank the ICU staff for all that they did for my Mother, most notably Nurse Monica, Nurse Terri, Nurse Ashley, and Nurse Virginia. It takes a seriously dedicated and special person to do what they do. They each showed that compassion and loving care still exists. And for that I am so grateful. Thank you all so much! I wanted to give it 5 stars but unfortunately the parking situation is atrocious here, you have a valet lot that is all but empty and should be open to all. I m sure it wouldn t be hard to relocate the 4 or 5 cars in the valet area and free up much needed parking spaces. Also, the cafeteria food was not the best. Cafeteria cooks / servers were not the most friendly or polite. If it weren t for the compassionate care shown by the staff and Particularly the nurses with my Mother and our family, this would easily be 2 stars at best.

Had a wonderful experience at Jupiter Medical Center!! Had surgery there last week and was very pleased with my entire stay. First off, Bill in pre op was AMAZING!! So kind, funny and helpful!! I was nervous about my surgery and he immediately put me at ease, can't thank him enough!!! My husband ran into Bill the following day in the parking lot and he immediately asked how my surgery went, how I was feeling and wished me a speedy recovery. That was just so nice, really made my day when my husband told me. The nurses that took care of me during my 2 night stay were great as well, very attentive. Room was also beyond clean. Overall great experience.

We were so blown away by how kind and caring everyone was with my wife's delivery of our baby who was born 4 weeks premature. Our previous child was born at Stamford Hospital in CT, which was a great place and we thought would be impossible to beat that experience, but JMC exceeded every expectation we had. We just can't say enough about the kind nurses and neonatologist who kept an eye on our little one in the NICU. While our baby was in the NICU, they allowed my wife to stay in her room several days past her discharge to be close to the baby. We feel extremely grateful for JMC.

Loved my Doctor, but I chose him, The hospital stay was dreadful, good shifts & BAD ones, I will never use that hospital again, if I have a choice. I was in recovery room over six hours, because I was not breathing correctly, reason was they left a 12 inch tube down my air way that should have been removed when I left the O.R. Of corus this was not in my records, I seen the nurse remove it with her fingers then put it in the trash !! I was so sick and in so much pain after laying in recovery for over SIX hours, I did not realize this untill days later, after I was in my room !!

True experience here. The Doctor was on the cell phone while my wife was ready to deliver. Writhing in pain and ready to deliver I heard the nurse whisper to the other nurse, " is he on the phone". I saw him twenty minutes earlier on the phone myself. Nurses were trying to distract me by asking us questions. Finally I said, " where is he?" He finally he showed up, I guess his text session was over. What an unprofessional bunch of jackasses to let my wife lie there in pain. When the nurse asked me the next day how the experience was, I simply told her I didn't like that we had to wait like that. I could see the instant attitude on her face and she didn't look at or speak to me the reminder of our stay. If you are too immature and unprofessional to hear the truth when asked, then keep your mouth shut. Run elsewhere to deliver if you can.

I have been a patient at Jupiter Medical Center numerous times. I would drive 50+ miles to make sure I end up at Jupiter Med. Canter for treatment rather than any other hospital in South Florida. St. Mary's is my #2 but Jupiter is my #1 for lofe!! The staff are not only some of the very best in the medieval field in S. The food - actually good enough to go grab a bite if you have a lunch break and are working in the area!! Cleanliness - yes!! 10 stars out of 10 from this patient in every aspect and scope.

Thank you to the entire medical team operating at Jupiter Medical Center. When I am sick or need medical attention - I will do whatever it takes to end up in the care of the Jupiter Medical Center staff and facility!!!

I wanted to take this opportunity to give a well deserved thank you to all the staff at the ER and the doctors and nurses.who go out of their way every single day. I have the misfortune of being a patient for surgeries and an ER attendant. I have never been disappointed and always been treated with the utmost care and attention. I can t even begin to explain how well they do in every aspect of their expertise and the genuine care they take to facilitate your needs. I am very blessed and fortunate to live in Jupiter where we have the finest health care available. I would also like to thank the Palm Beach County Fire Department and the EMT unit for immediate response and their care and knowledge, of which I have experienced.
Thank you again and God Bless

If I could give this zero stars I would. My piercing was ripped and they were talking amongst themselves while blood was running down my neck along with chunks of pus from my ear. I was in pain for HOURS and they wrapped my head and left me there...For hours. I was shaking and had chills from blood loss and they did not do anything. Ugh. Don't go here

Wow. Just amazing. I went in for severe abdominal pains, when I was first checked I was told it would be a few minutes. Seeing that I was in obvious pain I was admitted to a room with five nurses and doctors around me within less than three minutes. I have never felt safer or the feeling of sincere empathy for my condition and care from the staff of a hospital like Jupiter's E.R.. Every nurse that was involved with me was so polite and genuinely good hearted. I would recommend everyone I know to Jupiter Medical Center. My sincere gratitude to all the staff.
