For those desperately curious about ethnic cuisine, dive right in. You must be gastronomically adventurous to venture here. They pull no punches. Those - like moi - who are always skittish about food that deviates too far from a narrow sense of right and wrong then this might not be the right place for you. It's cramped. Seating is sparse. Walls including ceiling are hung with various apparently authentic knick-knacks pulled from areas of Dominican Republic that tourists never see. Has no calling outside of the immediate neighborhood. Even the locals are probably unaware it exists. Food-wise, well, the roasted chicken was fine; didn't care for the mofongo; beer choice runs the gamut of Mexican bad to piss poor.

Not my style of food! I expected better. You pay for what you get!

Horrible experience! I placed my order missed the call from the delivery guy and when I called Wback the order taker literally screamed at me. And literally told me that the delivery guy called me and that I picked up and said I already have my order...smh Please tell me does that even make sense. He called me a liar. We argued over the phone before he hung up on me. I kept calling back because he still failed to tell me the status of my order. His name is Juan and he claims to be the owner (which I highly doubt). I will never order from this place ever again. And Judy's Restaurant I will spread the word to EVERYONE I KNOW!!! DO NOT ORDER OR EAT AT THIS PLACE!!! Let's boycott them!!! Force them to close down!!!

They should be ashamed of themselves, that has to be the worst Spanish coffee I've ever had in my life. Dirty water probably take better than this garbage excuse for coffee.

Delicious food portions could have been a little more but overall great food

Food took over an hour since moment it was ordered and half an hour more than the Grubhub upper limit estimation. No good food is worth this wait. There are many other choices that will deliver on time. Don t go through this torture. You ll get hungry, exasperated, it is just not worth it.

The cashier was unnecessarily rude and this food is not Dominican. The food has no flavor!!

This is an expensive restaurant compare to others in the neighborhood which are amazing. And they has employees with attitude to the customers. Never back again!

Their maduros are WAY too soft and sweet, mushy even and they tasted like yesterday's maduros if you know what I mean. They have good service but the quality of their food is not up to Dominican standards. And it's more expensive.

The service was fine in the restaurant, but I had ordered a steak mofongo over the phone, and was not told they were out of steak. I had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes for my meal, but with chicken (while the chicken was good, it doesn't make me less unhappy about the lack of notice for the absence of steak) and the rest was awful. The lettuce was dull at best and the mofongo tastless, even with the sauce provided.

Great food,service. Pricey but worth it. You can order to go or to stay they do have lunch specials. A range of Spanish food along with domestic beers and soft drinks.They do deliver

I order breakfast a lot and it's good don't get me wrong. Their dinner is not that good. It could definitely use some work. But the woman who answers the phone always has am attitude problem. Sis if you don't like your job get another. SIMPLE

Horrible Spanish food! Too much unecessary food coloring on the chicken and beans! I had to throw out the chicken due to the orange coloring

for starters, the food was AWFUL and cold. came an hour and a half late, and because i live in the projects they refused to come upstairs after i paid $70 worth of food. then they forgot the side and the drink so i had to wait even longer.

I was amazed by the taste, quality, and quantity of food. The chicken and pork chops were beyond amazing. Cooked to perfection, the meat literally fell off the bone. This restaurant is one you should make plans to attend. The owner Judy, is always present and extremely friendly. I plan to return for yet another wonderful experience.

The food is disgusting salty and straight up disgusting! They serve you a plate with rice, beans and chicken on the same trade, by the time u get it it s dog food mixed! No bueno at all.

They deliver the wrong thing and there was hair in my food!

I used to go here during high school all the time. Cheap but very tasty and filling. The ambiance was fantastic.

I tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday and it was terrible. Dont waste your money, go someplace else. Rice tasted overcooked and meat was very bland.

I placed an order for pickup this evening from judy's, for the first time. The food was tasty, however, the customer svc (which is equally important)was horrible. I sent someone to pickup my already paid for order (hence "order for pickup), yet they charged him (38.00) for the meal. When he got home (all the way to the bronx) he informed me that Judy's charged him for the meal (again, already paid for, pickup). Then, they screwed up my order and gave me the wrong meal. We had to travel all the way back to harlem just to get our money back. When we got to the restaurant and informed them of the errors, the money was returned (with a sad excuse) and they totally disregarded the complaint of getting the wrong meal. This was my FIRST and LAST time patronizing this restaurant.

Served copiously! honest rates. Boss and staff smiling and caring.

Excellent place, family atmosphere, very cozy and delicious and fresh food. Highly recommended

Love this place! Owner Judy is always around and is such a sweetheart, she really makes it worth the visit! Have tried their empanadas before and they were delicious. Good beer selection for the cheapest prices I've found around this part of the neighborhood. This has quickly become our new hang out spot! Stop in for an inexpensive cold beer and a chat with Judy :)

Huge portions, with the added bonus of a happy hour special on pitchers of (strong) sangria.

this people are scammers, I order thru uber eats. the app ask me to call them to check status but as soon as I talk to them they cancel the order and ask me to order via phone. I was ok with it until he tells me the same order is 10 dollars more than it was on the uber eats app. how comical, that's how you lose a whole company as client

I ordered food to go, rice beans and beef stew. Non of the three things had any flavor. Don t waist your time with this restaurant.

I will never order from this place again. The people were rude, they made up things to say on the phone and hung up on me. I will be disputing the charges on my card. They made no amends to try and fix what they messed up. Horrible experience.

very traditional latin food, with fast delivery. ideal for late night dinner and big parties. the chicken is the best and it is cook like in my hometown in Argentina. The place is very small and full of latin residents, in case you want to practice your spanish

The food here is really bad & the service was not that great.

Ordered delivery which was a hassle because at first I used Postmates. I called to edit my order and was told they don t use postmates and then hung up?? I called back and they THEN told me to use Uber eats. Place my order and came in a good time. Got a salad with no dressing and I paid for two sodas that I did NOT receive. Food is OKAY. Next time I ll make my own rice and beans for all that!!

I really don't know which was worse, the service, or the food. After waiting a long time, the delivery man was the one to hand us our menus. Point is, the food wasn't great and the service was terrible, would not recommend to anyone.

Very unprofessional was yelled at by the woman on the phone and the delivery man because my Order was wrong and they said They are too Busy

This place is small and dark the customer service is good they are bilingual and the food reminds me a lot of Polanco's restaurant but a little bit pricier

i just ordered food an hour ago & was told it was gonna be a half an hour. When i called two see where my order is at it hadn't even left the restaurant and i was told another hour. How did it go from 30min too 2hours. Ridiculous!

Kind of a fast food style restaurant. Considering i picked a small lunch deal, the food was a bit pricey but i really liked it. I had the small beef stew lunch with rice and beans for $12. The meat came without fat. It was super soft and extremely tasty. I rarely get served beef that is that good. Will definitely be back.

Order food place for delivery ask for mojito wasn t place in bag food was horrible rice and beans and meat was all together is like you order and ask for things and they won t put it didn t pick up the phone when i call multiple time maybe if i would of went i would of got better service won t order from here no more

I live the food, but the service is horrible. Every time I come here this lady is so rude. I m assuming she s the owner the way she acts. Rude over the phone and in person. I tried every way to assume there was a language barrier, but it s not my first visit... won t be my last but she needs to fix her damn attitude.

The owner/manager is soooo rude and nasty. Rude Mexican lady with brown/blonde hair. Chicken was pink and she got angry and said it s done. I just wanted something that wasn t raw. She refused. How???? If you wan to get salmonella poisoning make sure you eat here. If you want someone to yell and scream at you pls go here. I won t be eating at this establishment ever again. Pls stay away and take your business elsewhere guys.

Went to have lunch there and the staff was racist!Started calling us trump supporters and wanted to fight!Said if you don't like it leave!Nasty!Drunk!overpriced!Felt like the beach on a 100 degree day with no fan too!Forgot a air condition Beyond sneaky staff!Watch your wallet!

If I could I would give her a 0. There was a roach on the food and when I approached owner she started screaming and kicked me out. No apologies or nothing. This restaurant says Dominican and it's not she is Mexican and the food is mexican. She is rude, nasty and it's always empty no wonder. Never go here. Disgusting!!!!!!

Good food they know how to cook. My two young kids enjoyed the place very much. They made the food so fresh I was shock.

I had lunch at this restaurant the food was okay but the customer services is so bad. I m a college student and i had an assignment to dine and take pictures at a Spanish restaurant and i choose Judy s Spanish Restaurant because i thought it might be fitting but the sever was so rude when i asked if i could take some pictures he explicitly said no without any remorse, like i was going to burn the place down. I don t recommend this place for anyone who wants a friendly place to dine and feel comfortable and that s why I m writing this bad review

A local institution. Just by calling itself Spanish when it's really Hispanic you understand it's been around for years. Food is Caribbean and good. Nothing special. Music tends to be too loud and servers tends to not understand English

The food here is always fresh, delicious and hot! It's a favorite for sure.

Not the best at all as I have had authentic Dominican food this is not it. The beans were horrible the rice was cold and the meat was under seasoned over priced and disappointing.

They do delyvery fast and from work, houses, hospitals etc. very good

Food is owssmm!!! Discussion with owner and personal touch and some discount on being regular was cherry on the cake!! :) Keep it up judy!!!

Love the pernil here! Portions are like when you go to grandma's house and she wants to make sure you've eaten. Staff is nice. Small and quaint place. Recommended.
