I met friends there this evening. We had an incredible meal.Service was over the top. We enjoyed the experience very much and will definitely. Come back!

We drive from Reno just so that we can enjoy their delicious steak sandwiches for lunch. It is good food!!

Good family style service, it was good. Good portions, great timing, we ate, chatted it up and had a fabulous evening with friends.

Im pretty sure this place was in a t least a few episodes of Bonanza lol the epitome of an old western bar right in the heart of Minden. Stop in and have yourself a glass of Picon Punch and a beer to wash it back. Lots and lots of history, paired with good drinks makes for a pretty great day.

The picons and food were fabulous and the service was awesome!

Shining star of minden/gardnerville. Come hungry and get the full course and a delicious and disgusting pecan for a strange cherry on top to a delightful Nevada experience.

Fun low-key place with lots of history. The food is great, but the portions are Biblical, so come very, very hungry.

A must stop if you are on your way through Gardnerville / Minden and a favorite if you live here. Normally, I would rate 5 stars, tonight our server was a little off. Food is always wonderful! Best fries anywhere.

Over the top original Basque restaurant with the famous Picon cocktail. Great food, try the Lamb chops entree! Can order a la carte also! Very busy on weekends.

We were amazed by the helpful and friendly staffs since the first time we stepped in. The room is nice and clean. And they have asian and western food for breakfast.

Fun place; old fashioned bar (Picon's anyone?), great wait staff and delicious Basque style food.

The food and service here are great. Very friendly. Great drinks as well. As with any Basque place, the ambiance is more friendly than fine dining and the food matches. Delicious, unpretentious food served by nice, unpretentious people. I look forward to going back.

Food just OK. Lobster ravioli too much what I think is season if I don't know what but sent back. Got clams but OK but watery and not butter and Italian garlicky. Not goig back.

I took my husband here so that he could try authentic Basque food for the first time. This restaurant is an awesome place to get great Basque food, and enjoy some local history. I recommend getting here early for lunch or dinner time, because it packs in fast! And give some of their specialty Basque drinks a try!

The staff is great, the food is fantastic and they always have accommodations for large groups. Great place, we stop by everytime we are in town, all 40 of us.

We come to Carson City a couple times a year and always try to stop at JT Basque. Like most Basque restaurants, they serve big family style portions. The soup was delicious as was the lamb stew. They served a generous portion top sirloin that was nicely. The servers are all super friendly. Worth the experience.

The guys getting our food were super nice! And they've got a friendly little kitty that hung out under the picnic table, survived Katrina and a dog fight, and she's still a sweetheart.

Awesome food every time I have been here. Wait can get long so be prepared for that but if you're with a group of friends knock a beer or two back and enjoy each other's company. Food is worth the wait.

What's not to like about this place? Tradition with a contemporary facade (there's even some video gambling machines), is the feel of this place that is family friendly including reduced child (12 & under) pricing.
You can get an adult beverage at the bar to help while away the short time until you're seated. Try a Basque drink, the Picon Punch.
Once you're seated, the serving staff will bring the family dining style sides quickly and efficiently while remaining unwaveringly pleasant. The entree choices are comprised of hearty and perfectly cooked meat dishes. Think tender. Think juicy. Think flavorful.
Besides the unlimited sides and entree, your meal price includes a bottle of red wine, coffee, AND ice cream.
As general advice goes, it is always said to go where the locals go. And you can tell that this is a beloved locals spot. Enjoy!

I hadn't been there in years. What a marvelous surprise to find a menu of varied items and reasonable prices and the best part, the MOST delicious chorizo burger and delicious, seasoned fries. The burger was done perfectly with a savory, crispy finish on one side adding to the amazing flavor and texture. It was mildly spicy but it did not come near to overwhelming the flavor. Loved it. We stayed, chatted and no one minded. We thanked them profusely.

I have never had basque food before and this was amazing.

Great Basque food and ambiance. Family owned and operated this is a great spot to grab a lunch or take friends out for a family style dinner. If you want a treat try the steak sandwich at lunch. They have some signature cocktails that will really wet your whistle so stop on by for an old time treat.

Perfect basque meal. I ordered the salmon, it was primo. Staff were friendly, prompt and went above and beyond. I don't get out there often but I will be back.

This was my first time at JT's. We had our first pandemic lunch... Food was great, the oxtail stew was outstanding, generous portions, reasonable prices.

Super fun for family dinner. - or romantic night out...

Wow - so much food. Started with bread, soup, wine and salad. Then served beans and beef tongue stew, followed by the main entree w/fries, then ice cream and coffee. Super fast and friendly service for a Friday night. Went in at 8:00pm grabbed a drink and was seated by 8:15. Make sure you bring your appetite or you'll be taking a lot of leftovers home with you.

Amazing as always have been many times and always look forward to returning. Only downside is the wait. However you know its gotta be worth it when people are literally lined up outside!

This my favorite restaurant. We have been there four times in the last 3 years and the quality of food and service were always great. It is a family style restaurant. Expect a cozy place with a lot of history and friendly service. J. T. - keep up the good work.

Only thing was the noise level it was so high for me it was uncomfortable. Food was great service great a must go to place if in the area. It may have been unusual night for the noise or maybe I am more sensitive . Wonderful place to go. enjoy.
