I recently purchased a 2009 Volkswagen CC at Koons. There weren't many dealerships selling these autos so my choice was limited. I previously owned my car for 12 years! so I was a bit weary, pessimistic, and skeptical of the prospect of having to deal with the car buying process; however, the folks a Koons made the process seamless and painless! The CC was listed below fair market value so I feel I received a great deal! Based on my experience, I would certainly recommend anyone to, at the very least, pay a visit.

Update: Camera has been taken care of, but still have yet to receive a refund for the diagnostics. I have called twice and have not heard back.
Buyer Beware! If ANYTHING is wrong during your test drive, WALK AWAY! On June 15th my husband and I drove from Richmond to test drive a 2013 Ford Escape. Our salesman Antonio was very nice and friendly and knowledgeable. When I put the vehicle in reverse, the backup camera screen flashed and an error message appeared saying to contact the dealership. Antonio navigated us through the system settings and everything appeared to be fix. I drove away that day at peace with my purchase. When I got in the next day the same error message appeared, I went back into the system settings like we were shown during the test drive and it did not work. The message continued to pop up. I sent Antonio an email on June 17th stating that the message continued to appear. After a couple of emails back and forth, he sent us a you tube video on how to fix it. We followed the steps and still the error message continued to appear. After more back and forth, an appointment was made to take it back to Joyce Koons so a mechanic could take a look. It was determined that the back hatch was out of alignment and that should solve the problem. My husband made his way back to Richmond only to pull in the driveway and receive the same message. Again, another eml was sent stating the camera was still malfunctioning. 2 weeks passed and Antonio contacted us and asked us to take it to an authorized Ford dealership for a diagnostic test on the camera. I made the appointment and contacted Antonio again and let him know. He gave me Vee's number as my direct contact. The test came back showing the camera needed to be replaced. On August 2nd, I called Vee 3 times and never heard back from him. I paid for the diagnostics and picked the vehicle up without it being fixed as I was leaving to go on vacation. On August 3rd we contacted Antonio, again, stating that the lack of communication was getting increasingly frustrating, and that the diagnostics had been paid for and a quote for the replacement camera was in hand. A copy of the quote was sent directly to Antonio and he said he would be in touch. I finally heard from him on August 19th, as he himself was on vacation, and did not think to pass our info on to anyone else. While we were discussing the situation again, he handed the phone to Vee. Vee asked me if I had paid the $189 for the diagnostics, which I had already explained 3 times that I had. He also asked if I had picked the up in which I replied yes, and if he had of called me back one of the 3 times I tried to contact him he would've known that. He then stated that the dealership would only cut me check once I paid the $900 required for the repair. I told him that was absolutely absurd, we had been inconvenienced enough, there was clear evidence that something was wrong with the camera when I bought it. Well before my warranty with them expired. There was no reason that a check could not be cut to the authorized Ford dealership. Vee stated their policy did not allow that, to which I replied well your policy needs to be revised! He then stated he would get with accounting and call me back. As of today, I have not heard from Vee nor Antonio. The situation has still not been resolved. If you like spending your money on a vehicle where all the accommodations you paid for don't work, getting taken advantage of, and love lack of communication this is the dealership for you!
My experience with your service department was good. Jeff Miller, service adviser, informed us of the progress of the service while it was in progress and notified us when the service was completed.

Before that, I owned a Buick Lucerne which I purchased from Joyce Koons of Manassas. Maintenance was performed by Joyce Koons of Manassas as well. My current Service Advisor, Jeff Miller, has been great . He is a true professional!!

Sales force at Koon's were courteous and confident on their knowledge of the products. In particular, Salim Zamani, sales consultant greeted us and actually convinced us, my wife and myself about the vehicle we unexpectedly made a smooth purchased from his recommendation. The sales facility was very clean and organized like professional exhibition center. More over, the repairer shop was very clean and organized in the shop that any one can trust their professional services for their vehicles. Though, our purchase of a vehicle was not too long ago, 3 weeks, we hope we can receive an excellent service for a long time to come.
They want to buy my vehicle so I came here to get an appraisal but the purchase intention of $17,800 was very shocking to me. I've already been offered for $20,000 ~ $21,000 from other dealers and the amount is actually a huge difference from this dealer. I really wasted my time with this dealer on May. I only remember the salesman who helped me was really kind. I ended up trading in my vehicle for a new one for good price now. Never sell cars here!!

I would like to give an update on my last review with Joyce Koons GMC Manassas location. I have since been contacted and my issue is in the process of being resolved. Overall, the staff has been working diligently to ensure that I am going to be happy with the outcome. They have been going back and forth with the main GMC location and have not stopped, nor do they appear they will stop, until my all of needs are met, and my issue is resolved. For these reasons, I have updated my review to 5 stars. Thanks to all at the Manassas location, Joyce Koons GMC, for your tireless efforts!
I dont trust the service department here. I paid for a tire rotation and the tires were not rotated. I knew they weren't rotated because my front tire on my passengers side had a nail in it and after the "tire rotation" the tire with the nail was still on the front passenger's side. I talked to them and they offered me a free oil change and filter my next visit. I wonder how often they scam people like they scammed me?
Very enjoyable experience. Low pressure sales, I knew the sales price of the vehicle before ever arriving, everything about the sales experience was explained in detail with no surprises. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a GMC.
Phil Marinakos was our salesman. I had asked for a Terrain to test drive and explore, convinced it was the vehicle for me, I found out that what I thought and reality were different. After listening to my description of desires Phil brought anot Arcadia out for me to look at. As it turns out the Arcadia was the actual vehicle I had been looking at on line, not the Terrain.
Phil was easy to work with and made a stressful time relaxed and fun. Plus it was the perfect way to end Valentines Day!
purchased my 2002 Bonneville from Koons and have had it serviced there since my purchase. I have always had good experiences with the service department and Kevin. Even if he's telling me things that need to be fixed that I don't want to hear about because of the cost. He has always been helpful and honest about what needs to be done immediately and what repairs I can wait on without it being a danger to me. Their service department is great.
Patrick went out of his way to ensure we got the best deal possible. When Patrick gave me his word over the phone, he backed that up when I arrived at the dealership. Charles is very knowledgable and did a great job showing us the new vehicle. We couldn't have asked for better service.

Brought my Terrain in for service several times for the same problem, with the issue unresolved, but being charged premium prices each time. Would not recommend utilizing their service department for anything more than oil changes/tire rotations.

After looking for our new car for weeks we finally found what we were searching for at Joyce Koons in Manassas. My husband and I drove 2 1/2 hours from the Eastern Shore of Maryland to purchase after negotiating online, through e-mails and phone calls with Doug Miller. When we arrived the car was exactly as portrayed and we had the pleasure of working with Codie Fravel. He was not only fun but knowledgeable and professional. Tim in the finance department was extremely efficient and within a short period of time we drove away with our beautiful new car! We feel we received a very good deal and would certainly buy from them again. Rest assured, purchasing from this dealership is a good decision!
Sales associate was stern and would not budge on the price of a car that was listed with 40 miles and actually had 600 miles. Service was poor and winded up getting two different quotes from two different associates that lead to the total cost going up. I advise you look elsewhere as this dealership will not provide you with any satisfaction. They were more focused on telling me about my payments then the final cost of the car. A big waste of time.

My Sales Consultant, Codie Fravel, was extremely patient with explaining all the ends and out to the vehicle. I am not an impulsive buyer, and Codie made me feel like when I was ready, he would be there. They actually had a 2016 with 2,500 miles on it that I fell in love with. I actually spent several days looking at the Envision, each time, Codie was again patient with my questions.
After visiting my bank and getting a local rate, I went back to the dealership to purchase the vehicle. The Manager, John Rendo, was able to Certify the vehicle adding another year of warranty and was also patient with all my questions and needs when going through the final negotiation. Their Finance Manager, Omar, was able to beat my Bank Rate and took additional time to make sure I understood all the paperwork. (After studying KBB and other Vehicle sites, I feel I got the best price and interest rate available for this car!)
All in all, I felt like family when I left with my car keys! I will be purchasing another vehicle for my wife this Fall, and Joyce Koons will be my First stop! Thank you for the time and experience when dealing with a professional company like yours!
I ve been buying cars for over twenty years and by far this was the best experience ever. Most dealerships today do not have the friendly, work with you attitude that this dealership still maintains. Rather than all of the other dealerships with their pushy sales people, Joyce Koons staff were more like consultants and advisors this this process. Where I started looking for a used vehicle, the showed me how a new vehicle actually cost only $10 more per month. Normally, the pain in the car buying process starts after you find a vehicle you like. At Joyce Koons it was an easy and smooth process with no surprises through the whole purchase. They even called me a couple of days after to see how I was enjoying the vehicle. This dealership is #1 in my book. They gained a lifetime customer in me.
Recently did my 2nd year oil change, safety check, and annual maintenance on my 2013 LaCrosse. Loved the new service facility. Quick and courteous check in, great lounge with big screen TV, free WiFi, power access, comfortable seating with side tables, work desks, and plenty of coffee/tea/water. Great website offering service appointment setting and reminders. I have enjoyed the experience from the beginning. Great car, great price, no hassles.
Purchased a new vehicle Monday, 5 October 2015, about 12:30. They had to trade to get it from another dealer. We never received the vehicle until after 1:00 on Friday, 9 October. Then while trying to set up the OnStar it required: Tech Level 2 support, a software update, and now we're told a new part. Everyone was EXTREMELY nice and friendly until I didn't do what they wanted (like purchase extended warranty) and then became angry/disrespectful. The General Manager called me from the gym while working out, breathing hard, and clanking equipment to ensure me I would get good customer service. Every employee that I had interactions with told me something that was not true. We are taking the brand new Buick to another dealer tomorrow for repairs since we can't trust Koons. My personal opinion: I would not recommend Joyce Koons Buick to anyone.
I have been going to Koons GMC for a few years now and every single time I get the right information, excellent service and professional work. I am not saying that you shouldn't do your homework and make sure you know what needs to be done, but it sure is nice to know that you're not getting fool into doing the wrong thing with your vehicle. Tyson is very professional and well experience, not once has he giving me wrong information. I would totally recommend the dealer and their staff.
I had the opportunity (again) to work with one Phillip Marinakos. I bought my first car from him, and when the time came to do so again, Phil did not disappoint. My wife and I traded in our old 2006 Nissan Quest for a 2007 Honda Odyssey, and when it came down to the wire, Phil did not disappoint. My wife and I walked into the dealership to pay Phil a visit; saying hello, and happened to just ask him what his stock was like for Honda minivans. Phil instantly located one that fit within our budget, didn't pressure us to go outside of our means, listened to why we needed another minivan, and proceeded to aid us in locating the vehicle.
Furthermore, I wanted to switch tires from our old van to the new van, as the old van had Continentals that I wasn't too eager letting go. Phil accompanied me to VA Tire and Auto while my wife was at work for the tire exchange. Mind you, Phil was in the dealership on his day off. He accompanied me to VA Tire and auto on his day off.
If you're looking to buy a car and desire peace of mind, honesty, respect, and an individual that will go the extra mile for you before, during and after the sale, Phil is the guy.
