We really lucked out when we stumbled on Stephen at Jordan Fishwick for our Big Move Across the Country. He was so fast to respond to emails and loads of little questions, as we were taking on the property unseen in the midst of the pandemic and from 200 miles away. We were able to feel confident that we were renting the right house for us, which took a lot of the anxiety out of moving. Shocking. An absolute disgrace from start to finish

Jordan Fishwick gave a property that wasn't in a proper condition to begin with, there were massive delays in them fixing the issues during which they still took rent anyway despite the issues not being sorted. They didn't do gas checks on time, which is a big risk to safety. They've ignored pleas to negotiate a payment plan or something like that for months. So I feel like they've just tried to take advantage of students since lockdown has come in.

I would never usually go out of my way to spread bad word about a business, but considering how difficult and stressful the Jordan Fishwick organisation made the year of residency at one of their properties (and even afterwards), I feel like their poor service and bad attitude deserves the attention.

I lived in a flat on Mauldeth Road West where we had two big problems: one was a wasp infestation that took WEEKS of phone calls and emails to get anything done about it. The second was a potential hazard involving my bedroom window (which was on the top floor of the building) falling apart and I couldn't open it because the wooden pane holding one of the glass panes was loosening from the whole frame - so the glass pane was weighing it down; it could have come loose any moment and fallen four-stories onto someone if they had just been underneath at the time. I know it would have been unlikely anyone would be there WHEN the moment came, but it was a risk I couldn't take, and so I had to keep my window shut for the last 9+ months of my contract, which was painful during the summer of 2014.

No amount of emails or calls ever got this fixed. The landlord turned up once, had a look around, said he'd get someone to measure the windows and never got any further than that, despite me trying to chase the Jordan Fishwick branch for months before giving up.

To add insult to injury, the staff incessantly hound you with emails, calls and voicemails if they need something. I can understand if certain things need to be done, but considering how they barely acknowledged anything I'd tell them and then talk down to me when they wanted something, it made me angry.

Also, just another thing, I thought that since the contract ended, the debit for rent would automatically cancel, and I wasn't told until two months after I left. The first time they took it out, I got a refund and figured it had been a simple mistake. It was only the second time I was told. The only positive thing I could actually say about this company was that they were fairly quick giving refunds; even if they did make me overdrawn twice.

I wouldn't recommend these to anyone. If you see a nice property under their management, don't do it, because you will find dealing with them a horrible experience. You can tell other people have felt the same by their reviews on here. Terrible.

Avoid at all costs. Find a flat to rent with another company. Useless. Takes them at least two weeks to look at any issues. Only way you'll ever get them to do anything is if you raise a complaint.

Can highly recommend Jordan Fishwick & Richard Jones in particular. Very easy to deal with and very helpful with responsiveness & chasing. Wouldn t use anyone else for a future sale!

Gary & Byron were always acting in my interest, and they knew when to push and when to help. Andrew at Jordan Fishwick helped us with the sale of our apartment in Withington. We couldn t have asked for better service during the process as my wife is pregnant with our first child so we needed to get in to our new house before Christmas since the baby is due at the end of January. Communication was as good as it gets - he was always available to chat about things and make sure everything was staying on track. The best part was he was incredible at being the middle man between our buyer and ourselves. Often in these situations messages our lost but we were very fortunate that wasn t the case. It s so important to have an honest and friendly person with experience sell your home and we definitely had that with Andrew at Jordan Fishwick. Highly recommended!!

Despite being affected by the Covid lockdown, they were always very responsive, always returned calls and helped to iron out any issues. I have bought and sold several properties in the last few years and this was by far the most positive experience I have had. They were extremely professional and efficient, absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Perhaps we caught them on an off day! Not very organised charged for things we did under the guise of an admin charge which they should have have done and prepared before hand. Pushy staff !

Fantastic from start to finish. What we liked about Jordan Fishwick from the start is that they weren't too 'estate agent-y'! Richard came to do a valuation on our property and was realistic from the outset which is something we appreciated - other agents were just a bit pushy and promising us the world.
Once we put our house up for sale with JF, we were handed over to Gary to look after things and he was just brilliant. Around 10 viewings were arranged within a matter of 24 hours and it just kicked on from there - we had a raft of (great!) offers within a week and a half. Gary left mid-way through the process which was a bit of a worry as he had been so thorough but we needn't have been fussed as Dan picked the sale up absolutely seamlessly. I was pleasantly surprised as even with the best will in the world sometimes things slip but not on this occasion. We then had a few sticky moments getting over the line but Dan guided us really well with excellent communication and information.
We're not planning on moving anytime soon, but we will without doubt be using Jordan Fishwick to handle our next sale. Thoroughly recommend them to anybody.

Flawless service

Jordan Fishwick in Didsbury have just sold our house and provided a first class service.

Richard Jones and his team are simply the best in Didsbury.

They were very quick, efficient and helpful at all times and, with Richard s experience and pleasant manner, all queries raised by our buyer were handled smoothly.

They gave us a very honest and reasonable valuation initially and then put the house on the market within approximately 48 hours of taking photographs.

They then organised between 10 and 20 viewings within a few days of the house going on the market.

When offers were received (within a day or so of the viewings), they gave us very sensible advice.

The whole process was then completed flawlessly without any hitches or issues at any stage.

Richard and his team also represented the vendors when we bought the house that we have just sold so we have experience of them in that capacity too and again they were extremely pleasant, honest and efficient to deal with at all times.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Jordan Fishwick in Didsbury. They are first rate estate agents - trustworthy, experienced, pleasant to deal with and efficient.

Selling my husbands family home after my mother in laws death was always going to be a difficult & emotional time. Richard made the whole process so much easier. From the moment Richard originally visited to give us a valuation for probate until after completion he has shown us empathy & compassion. When he first visited the house was in an awful condition & in need of full renovation. He visited again half way through the renovations and offered his advice. We had to have 3 valuations before putting the house on the market, 2 of the agents wanted to put it on the market below market value and not have any viewings for the first 2 weeks. They then talked about dropping the price after another 2 weeks if no offers. Richard valued the house higher than the others and had numerous viewings booked within a couple of hours of being on the market. We ended up with multiple offers above asking price. The house was sold after 1 week. We were kept informed every step of the way. We can't thank Richard & his team enough for all their hard work.

As far as estate agents go JF Didsbury were professional, informative and helpful. JF provided me with a good level of support and feedback through what turned out to be a long and drawn out buying process. Richard in particular was particularly helpful. The buying experience through JF didsbury was noticeably easier and less stressful than my experience with the main agent in this area on previous occasions.

We have worked with Richard at Jordan Fishwick for our sale and purchase of two properties over the past two years and couldn't praise them enough! Richard really went the extra mile to achieve and progress the sale of my property despite difficult circumstances due to lockdown and the property being tenanted. He was very responsive and it was a welcome change to deal with a company who provided a personal service. Richard Jones had been a star. After 3 sales on our house fell through ( nothing to do with Jordan Fishwick) , we finally moved 2 days ago. Hurrah!! Richard handled all communication , which was at times very testing, with diplomacy and speed and, quite amazingly, never seemed ruffled. He s in the right job!! Not as happy with the person who was our contact before Richard.
We would recommend Richard and the team to anyone. Everyone responded really quickly to any emails or calls that we made and got back to us when they said they would.
Also, we hadn t realised how important it is to have the same contact throughout the sale, something which our previous agents, Phillip James Kenndy didn t do and didn't tell us sbout before we chose them. We wouldn't recommend them.

Jordan Fishwick were the estate agents dealing with proceeding when my girlfriend and I recently brought a house. We were extremely impressed with JF throughout the whole process, especially Richard who we dealt with mainly. Having dealt with many bad estate agents over the last 5 years it was very refreshing to come across some as professional as JF. Out of everyone involved in the house purchase process (conveyances, solicitors, banks, mortgages brokers etc) JF were by far the most helpful and professional people we had to deal with. I wouldn t hesitate to use them if I ever came to sell the house.

We found our perfect property in Jan 2020 but hadn't yet put ours on the market. Andrew at Jordan Fishwick (Didsbury) worked hard to enable us to rapidly bring our property onto the market, and he and the team managed to sell it within a week. We then endured a delay due to Covid lockdown, but despite this Andrew kept working tirelessly to keep the chain intact and we successfully moved in August 2020. Our experience with Andrew and Jordan Fishwick was extremely positive, reasonably priced and we would recommend them.

Greedy landlord that took advantage of students during the pandemic, demanding rent from those they knew couldn t pay it while refusing to talk or discuss any kind of payment plan with them to solve the problem. Also know to keep its houses in poor, unsafe, and unsanitary conditions, failing to do gas safety checks, and not bothering to clean them property before tenants move in. DO NOT RECOMMEND. A GREEDY AND RUDE AGENCY.

Very helpful throughout the whole house buying experience. They were very positive regarding our application in the initial stages despite it not being the highest offer, let us view the property on many occasions and provided advice at all stages of the house buying process. Very useful for us as first time buyers.
