Amazing food. It doesnt matter where your seated, you can still see so much ocean. The staff are very professional as well. Highly recommended if you dont mind spending the high cost.

Was here for a wedding and the service and food was good. Me and my fiance both ordered sparkling water and we were the only ones on our table to order it and the waiters were very careful not to top up our glasses with regular water. Very impressed by this. All service was prompt and friendly and all requests were addressed quickly and accurately. Food was very good but the wedding cake could have been served with some plates and dessert forks.

I've been here many times over a couple of decades for celebratory dinners. Jonah's never fails to impress. Outstanding food, excellent service and what a location! Don't forget to take a taxi because the wine list must be visited a few times.

Delicious food, extensive wine list, ambiance and spectacular ocean view. Expensive but worth it.

This place is my number one breakfast spot at the Northern Beaches. Great view, amazing food and outstanding service.

If you want to have a real dining experience then this is a place that you have to invest the time to visit. When you mention Jonah's to anyone it is a " destination" restaurarnt where service, food, wine and location collide into a magical dining experience.

Beautiful views, great food and wonderful staff. Our bathroom could use a bit of a refurb but a great room regardless.

Absolutely amazing place that is situated over looking the beautiful beach and you may even see some whales breaching on the horizon as you are dining in the restaurant. Very relaxing with excellent customer service and friendly advice. Food and matching wines were delicious. Well done!

The view from Jonah s restaurant is without equal. Book a window table for some uninterrupted spectacular views across the Northern beaches of Sydney. The food quality, knowledge and politeness of the staff and cleanliness of the restaurant is of the highest quality. I would strongly suggest booking for lunch rather than dinner for a first visit firstly to take advantage of the views but secondly, it would be somewhat difficult to navigate the narrow winding and sometimes steep approaches to the restaurant if unfamiliar with the area in the dark.

This is a high class restaurant with the best quality service and food quality and so your meal will be expensive in comparison to other suburban restaurants. I did feel the portions were somewhat small for the price asked.

Whilst not my thing, if you do enjoy wine with your meal, the wine list looked to be very extensive.

I've heard about Jonah's for years, from friends who have been here and highly recommended it. I took my boyfriend here for a surprise birthday breakfast, and we had such a lovely morning. If you can, ask for a window seat to take full advantage of the incredible views of Whale Beach, and watch all the surfers. Breakfast is a $50 set menu, with croissants to start, then a choice of 2 dishes. I had the muesli to start, then the pancakes with maple bacon, both of which were delicious. I'd highly recommend coming here for a special occasion.

Very pleasant place for lunch, dinner or Just for some drinks

Our "special occasion" venue. First tried this restaurant the day after our wedding in 2010 as our treat to ourselves, and since that day have tried to come back every chance we get. Last visited in November 2017 with a group of 7, unfortunately not seated in the main room (best spots near the windows). Standout dishes - the entree quail, entree prawns and the kingfish main. The oysters with caviar was a little underwhelming, although visually stunning. Service was as always impeccable, we had our desserts/coffee on the terrace, and even scored some extra rosemary honeycomb (dangerously addictive!). Views go without saying. Still remember a conversation stopping mille feuille on the the menu a few years ago - hope they bring that back.

Dined at Jonah's Restaurant today and the view was lovely. The food however, was a major let down. We ordered the Frutti de Mare (3 tiered sea food platter for 2) after specifically asking and being assured there were hot Moreton Bay Bugs included. The food arrives and while the presentation was impressive, the taste was lacklustre. We also weren't given plates for some reason? Scallops were a few seconds over done as was the John Dory. And to my dismay, there were no Moreton Bay Bugs, instead we were served Yabbies. I will note that the sashimi and oysters were lovely. For dessert we ordered the lemon tart and a tarte tatin. Tarte Tatin arrived with half the ice cream melted....

I'd like to note that when I voiced my disappointment at the lack Moreton Bay Bugs I was treated to a spiel about how they don't usually serve them hot. Even after I said that I specifically asked and was told that "Yes, there were bugs and yes, they would be served hot." Not the kind of service I've experienced or would have expected at any hatted, Michelin star or other half way decent restaurant for that matter.

I'm not sure if today was an off day for the team or if the standards are simply slipping. After today's meal I'm not sure how or why they have remained a hatted restaurant for so long. A real let down for a restaurant I've been wanting to visit for a while now.

My husband and I absolutely love everything about Jonah s. My husband surprised me for my birthday roughly 4 years ago with a weekend away there and that is when I decided to get married there. We got married there in November 2015 and everything was perfect. The staff were amazing and our family and friends were blown away. Just just recently spent another 3 nights at Jonah s for our baby shower and again we had the most fabulous time. We highly recommend Jonah s for the perfect weekend away or wedding. Thank you!

I visited this place three years ago and remember a stunning meal then. Nothing much has changed and even though my favourite cocktail wasn t on the menu, the restaurant team happily made it for me. The red China cocktail is vodka based with pureed raspberries, lychee and lemon. It is heaven.

The prawn entree, duck gnocchi, the lamb main were all wonderful. My pasta was a tad on the salty side (which I mentioned to the restaurant and took the feedback on).

If you can, get a table by the window as it has stunning cliff top views of Whale Beach. Stunning.

In short, I can t wait to come back.

We stayed here one night with another couple. Accommodation was fine. We ate in the restaurant and came away really disappointed. The menu is try hard and you would have to be a knowledgeable foodie to interpret it. Our orders were very ordinary and made us feel somewhat sick. The restaurant is very dated and relying on the view. Ambiance was poor. Beyond that the staff were experienced and provided very good service. Time for an overhaul and update the menu.

I took my wife there for a Xmas lunch on Dec 17th, 2015. Great location, great views, great decor, fantastic service, great wine list but the food was just ordinary....in fact so disappointing for such a highly rated place. My entree of scallops were under cooked, grey and sinewy not white. They were covered in a spiced type of breadcrumb that was dry. In the mouth there was no taste of scallop and no moisture.....just a dry breadcrumb flavour. My main was roast duck...a small breast with lots of fat tissue on a very large plate with a dry sauce smeared on the plate. It must have been laid on the plate well before the duck was cooked as the thin smear of sauce had dried on the plate resulting in me having to push hard to gather anything to have with the duck,,,,,and then there was no taste to it.

Having paid $80 for these two course sI was totally unsatisfied with the meal.

The amuse bouche looked nice but was also tasteless, The petit fours were good. The best thing about the meal was the breadroll and olive oil!!

We won't be going back again. Either the real chef was on holidays at the time or the standards have fallen significantly from our last visit. A very disappointing experience.

Well deserved awards for this beautiful place. The duck liver starter is a must, and wine matching was done perfectly throughout the menu.

Great food and view but the restaurant badly needs some ambiance. It is very quite in there and it s awkward, you can just hear everyone else s conversations.
I wish they would put some music in there because we really like the restaurant but that always turns us off going

We had mooloolaba prawns, sydney rock oysters, murray cod, and pork neck - all of which were amazing.

Good service and food. The room was excellent, not super cheap, but certainly worth the money. We ate here for the three nights of our stay, and again, was worth the price. If ever down that way again, will certainly consider. P.S. ...great location!

Disappointing they didnt listen to tables requirements when one person orders off the vegan menu would have thought the chef would have questioned why the didn t order a main off the vegan menu as well. Sad for my daughter who had to wait. Get a chef with attention to detail and a waiter whom remembers drink orders. 90 years is great but you need staff who care today

Attended a wedding here, breathtaking views and wonderful ambience. The food was underwhelming and the sheer size of patrons probably affected the quality of food. It was also quite challenging to get to do make sure you're confident with steep uphill ascents

Highly suggest you go and get the Breakfast set menu. Delicious, beautiful food and they top up coffee and juice for hours! The pastries are to die for. Nice to sit in the sun and relax in the wonderful atmosphere on the comfy lounge chairs after. They are very friendly and catered for me needing the eggs cooked at a certain temp. Amazing. Will most certainly be back again soon!

We had our wedding here and the staff were all great! We had a lovely day with the food being superb and the backdrop and restaurant decor being wonderful.
My only reason for the loss of a star was we stayed the night before our wedding and even though we requested late check out cause our ceremony wasn t until 12:30 ( a time dictated by the restaurant) we were told we had to check out at 11. This meant I had to use my friends accommodation up the road to get dressed and couldn t have a make up artist come to the venue which created a bit of a hassle. Overall a lovely day but would recommend the hotel communicate better with the restaurant to have a package especially given it is a prominent wedding venue and I suspect a lot of people may find themselves in this situation unknowingly!

Always a favourite place for special occasions, Jonahs never disappoints with their food, service level, friendly staff and of course views and location. We ve been here for friends weddings, family dinner and special occasion days and each time they have yet to disappoint!

Went here for lunch and was so excited after being treated to take the sea plan from Rose Bay to here. Unfortunately the service was terrible. We waited 40 minutes before even being served or asked what to drink. Each waiter we approached about this kept informing us that someone would be coming but they didn't.
We had to wait long periods of time before our wine was filled, the food was good but not amazing and overall I just was expecting more. sadly I was hoping to have my wedding here but given the service and the general need of refurbishment I'll be going somewhere different.

Good relax environment for rest and holiday. And perfect for special event with 360 degree ocean view. You can see the sunrise on your bed every day.

We just had our wedding reception here, and this venue is AMAZING!!
Everything from the initial meeting through to the day after was top class, and they went above and beyond with their customer service!
We dealt with so many venues and vendors in the wedding industry leading up to our wedding, and we can confidently say that these guys were the only ones that were flawless with their service. Everything from communication through to payment reminders and everything in between, we can't think of a single moment that was handled poorly.
We booked knowing that the views were amazing, but the food is also top class, and the waiters were barely noticed through the night, but everything was promptly served and cleaned up.
My wife and I loved it so much, we can't wait to go back for anniversaries and relive our memorable day, and the Jonah's team was a big part of that! We have received a lot of feedback from our guests already, and all very positive about the venue, food and service! Thanks again!!
