What a location ! I can only speak for those who wish to tie the knot here !

Perfect for a small simple picture perfect wedding ! Stunning views and food !

The staff were friendly and had drinks come promptly to our table !

I was pleasantly surprised there were afew choices on the menu to choose from !

Drinks and cocktails were delicious along with the fish of the day * meats* ! If U don't need a knife * and tears away perfectly to the fork it's cooked exactly how it should be

I will be back to get an accommodation review I'm sure and to try the fine dining in the restaurant and explore the area !

Great spot if you can get there. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

That view! Spectacular backdrop over Whale Beach while you eat. Gorgeous food as well. The entire menu is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Well worth the trip.

Fabulous location, great food, wine list and amazing service

We ve just celebrated a 21st over lunch and had a great time. The food was outstanding, the service excellent and the view is magnificent. Highly recommend

The views are superb but the staff not so much. We were there to enquire about booking the venue for an event and they weren't very helpful.

Amazing food and wine, great service and set high above Whale Beach with jaw dropping views over the Pacific Ocean and coastline. Close enough to drop down to Whale Beach for a swim after lunch...

A beautifully situated restaurant with stunning views over the ocean.

The staff were extremely friendly and it had a great atmosphere around the place.

I would definitely take someone special there for a meal and ask for a window seat to share the view.

Jonah's is truly one of the best places to visit! We have visited a number of times as guests staying overnight and also dining in! What makes this place extra special are the little touches they put on everything! Food is amazingly cooked staff are proffesional and attentive. A must try for anyone who is looking to splurge a little and also get away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. Amazing views

No matter what you order you will not be dissapointed.

When you walk into the dining room you'll be struck by the amazing view of whale beach. If you come a bit early you can grab a drink on the patio... Highly recommended! We enjoyed a 3 course menu paired with wines and we all enjoyed the meal greatly. From surf to turf all courses were paired nicely and the service was impeccable. If there was anything to be faulted, we did feel that the lamb rump didn't live up to the standard of the other dishes.

Amazing place that is definitely worth the drive from any part of Sydney. You are greeted by stunning views, and that is just the beginning. The staff are top notch professionals that clearly take pride in their work and it shows in the tiny details of your experience. The food is delicious with great portion sizes and the taste will leave you wanting more! Highly recommend the 3 course option and go for whatever dish takes your fancy at the time, you won t be disappointed. The wine list may seem longer than War & Peace but the friendly staff will help you navigate it with ease. The perfect place for that special occasion and a reason to treat yourself.

We dined here for lunch (August 2015) as part of our Sydney Seaplane trip. The views, the staff, teh food were excellent.
The highlight (for me ) was the Manuka Honey and Cinnamon Crumble with Confit orange, orange Bavarois, mandarin sorbet. Outstanding! Somehow they'd made the honey crytalized into mandarin shape which just melted in the mouth. It had tiny dianthus flowers which I picked out, and I'm glad I did bc I noticed little bugs running on the plate afterwards! a little protein! lol.

Delicious especially when someone else is very kindly paying the bill

A great experience. Went Saturday evening for dinner as a party of 3. Exceptional service and very flavoursome food. Parking was easy out the front and the whole place has a really relaxed and friendly vibe.

The scenery is beautiful, it is a good place for leisure.

Jonah's is another of those places that you just want to take all of the visitors from overseas with the gorgeous views over the water and the food which is great. Make sure you try the homemade lemonades.

Breakfast may just be the best meal of the day here. With a set price per person, you are offered unlimited coffee/juice (unfortunately not freshly squeezed) a starter of pastries, fruit, berries, yoghurt and muesli and the choice of a delightful main dish. Exquisite views down the steep hills of Whale Beach and out to sea are as good as they come. Inattentive service (others were well attended to) was the only disappointing aspect.

OMG what a fantastic restaurant! The food the view the service all outstanding. The Casarecce pasta was amazing and the best I've eaten for ages. The red wine jus with the rib eye was to die for. I'm definitely going back to this excellent restaurant

We had xmas lunch at Jonah's today 25th December 2017 and what a disappointing place. It was a set menu (quite average except for the price) the food started to arrive before drinks, the waiting time between courses were too long, there was a few slices of xmas ham to share and that was purely a cheap supermarket brand ham, the staff constantly come to the table to interrupt the conversations just to ask if everything was ok, the pre dessert was served after the dessert, well almost at the same time to be fear. Someone told me yesterday that I'll have a blast with the lunch today and now I can tell that my dear friend couldn't be more wrong.

We choose jonahs as our wedding venue, i couldnt recommend this little beauty enough! Our family from ireland still talk about the food, the view & the service they received that day. We stayed in one of the beautiful beach View rooms.. Awww it was stunning! we will return on every anniversary . Thank u once again.

However I really wanted to take my Mother here for her 60th birthday in July but turns out they are closed due to Covid-19 with no intention to reopen any time soon :( What a disappointment

Food, venue and everyone who works there to make it a great venue for lunch! A must visit!

This is the second time we have been here but probably the last till they do a revamp. The staff are excellent but the furniture and decor is extremely outdated. Near our table it smelt like urine. If you go for a dinner service outside summer and fancy a drink on the terrace it's extremely cold outside, no heaters, no music and dark. This place has so much potential, the food is good but let down by small touches.

Having been to Jonah s many times in the past for lunch and dinner, we decided to try breakfast and true to form - was amazing. The relaxed attentive service is just right. Nothings a problem and the food is Devine with freshly baked everything.

Went to Jonah's for a Sunday lunch to celebrate a wedding anniversary.. pricey, but you get what you pay for. The food and service was flawless and the view is spectacular. We will definitely be back.

Such a beautiful place. The food is absolutely beautiful and the view is epic. More of a special occasion place. Had the Seafood Platter and was so happy we ordered it. Dessert is a must, no matter how full you are!

Very expensive, food is no better than restaurants which are half the price

Everything was perfect! It was luxurious and and highly recommended for a romantic getaway or special occasion. The view was stunning, the room was spacious, super comfortable and smartly set up. The presentation of the food was exceptional and matches with the tasty. Simple and delicious. I loved the breakfast as it was well balanced and nutritional for getting you fire up for the day.

We recently shared a wonderful lunch at Jonah's, and it's easy to see why this restaurant is so highly regarded. The views are to die for, service was excellent and the wine list comprehensive. We shared the seafood platter's which were generally excellent - they did advise to have the cold tier last (Sashimi and Oysters) but personally I prefer them served a bit colder and by the time we reached that tier they were close to room temperature which isn't my preference.

Fabulous afternoon. Quiet, understated but caring service from a great team. Back soon!

And unbelievable lunch experience. The staff were awesome and courteous. The dining experience was simply superb. There was no rush. The food was excellent. We visited because of a recommendation and we were not disappointed. Also amazing views!! Perfect place for a quiet lunch when you can steal some time from your busy schedule.

Found it over priced even for a fine dining restaurant where you expect to pay big bucks. The food was only average with the fish of the day - blue eye trevalla was overcooked. Service was reasonable but waited over 10 minutes for the bill end up going to counter to settle it and waiter who I ask to bring the bill walked pass me didn't even apologise for not bring it to me. Had high expectations from this place feel that they just did not deliver on the day.

We have NEVER had any complaint about the service,food or hospitality. However yesterday for lunch four of our party ordered fish for lunch. It was under cooked and inedible. Just thought you should know for future reference. Supurb otherwise

The food, service and view are well worth the trip to Whale Beach. We went for breakfast which is full table service with a menu to suit all tastes. The staff were happy to meet any special requests. Especially pleasing is the endless juices and barista coffee.

Our lunch was absolutely amazing and the views are stunning.

We come here for our anniversary every one or two years. The food is always changing, and always great. Service is always excellent, as if they are watching you from far away, and yet not intrusive. Mentioned it was our anniversary and we got a little petite four at the end of our stay. The view is amazing even when it was cloudy, and a well kept small garden for our little one to play in. There was also a wedding proposal and baby shower on at the same time.

That was although We've eaten Jonahs several times - it won't be the final. We were spoilt in the moment we came with a glass of bubbles arhhh exactly what a fantastic start. This was my birthday so that we had buddies met us and all of us concurred that it was a night with a great deal of love and bliss. We were looked after by the team along with also the food was magnificent. Each room has a view and if you're up to an start,the sunrise time has been published and put in our area. The sunset on the deck while sipping bubbles has been hot colors of pink and it seems just like you're out in a magical place.I'm searching for some excuse to remain.

Lovely atmosphere and view with excellent service. Decent sized real food meals. Amazing cocktails and wines! And the bread is unbelievably good.

Staff are also very professional in looking the other way if you take your wife there on some occasions and the mistresses on other occasions. They don't judge.

Definitely will go again and again. Mistresses liked it every time as well.
