Had a problem with my wife's 4runner where the passenger side window would not roll up from the driver's side (rolled up fine from the passenger side). Checked fuses and was convinced that it was a bad switch on the driver's side door. The service guy who got on the phone realized that the battery must have died and the windows needed to be re-initialized. Followed his detailed instructions and everything is working great. Thanks!

Please read my response to owner after original issue.
Brought car in for check engine light. They charged over 900 dollars to fix it and the light came on a couple of days later. When I bought the car back no one apologize for the inconveniences. All they wanted to do was sell me a oil change. Very poor customer service.

I want to respond to your comments about my one star review. My vehicle had a check engine light and your tech diagnosis a knock sensor. Your dealership told me to change both knock sensors and the sub harness for a cost of $ 916.69. A couple of days later the check engine light came on again and I brought the vehicle back. No one at Johnston Toyota seemed to care at all about this situation. I was then informed after you had the car for 6 business days the tech would need to change knock sensor on bank 2 to correct the check engine light for the second time. This cost me an additional $ 278.90.
I wanted an NYS inspection and was advised that a third code was showing since the on board computer system was not ready to be tested due to a catalytic converter. I asked for an estimate to repair it and and was told $ 1,800 additional cost. As it turns out I drove the vehicle fifty miles and the code cleared and passed inspection.
I also reported this information to Toyota USA. I understand people make mistakes and check engine lights can be complex but treating customers with respect shouldn't be that difficult. I purchased the vehicle new from your dealership but now I'm sorry I did.

This is not only my first purchase from Johnston's...

This is not only my first purchase from Johnston's but my first Toyota too. I was quickly greeted as I walked in the showroom and approached by Kelvin Joseph, salesman. After some questions from both myself and Kelvin, we went about looking at the cars in stock. then cost of selected cars. Without any pressure, we eventually agreed on a car and price.

What made this experience special was that at no time was I left looking for someone to help me. I was greeted with smiles, knowledable answers to my questions and never felt that I was being "sold", but helped. Kelvin was always professional and curtious and in the end, our deal was fair and what I wanted.

The night I picked up the car, everything was ready, as agreed. The car was very clean and full of gas. Overall, my sales experience was great and I felt lucky to have Kelvin as my salesman and Johnston's as my Toyota dealer. I have bought many cars over the years but this experience made me question why I never shopped at Johnston's before. Kelvin Joseph was great to work with and treated me as if my time and business were both important to him. No games, no nonsense and no pressure to buy.

To everyone involved, thank you for making my car buying experience pleasureable rather than stressful. I truely applaude the staff and Kelvin for thier professionalism, patience and customer appreciation. In the end, I left feeling that my business was important to Johnston's and I appreciated being "helped", not "sold". I recommend that anyone reading this consider seeing Kelvin Joseph to buy their new Toyota from Johnston's in Middletown.

Almost two months ago, I crossed path with the most horrible people at a Toyota service center in New Hampton, NY that I would have never gone to if it wasn't for Atlantic Toyota in Massachusetts. Mike and Pete at Johnston Toyota are the worse human being and pathological liars I have ever met. To make long story short, my Celica needed a new engine and the Massachusetts Toyota agreed to pay for it because of the faulty equipment which led to the engine been blown. Johnston Toyota ordered a used engine from a salvage place which was burning oil at the time of ordered and was notified of the problem by Salvage Corp. and told them that they were looking for another one if they would like to wait. Johnston Toyota never responded back to waiting for another engine so they took it as is and put it into my car and to call me and let me know that the car was all good for me to set up a pick up time for the car as they knew the engine was faulty. To make matter worse my car is a 2004 Celica GT, they put a GTS engine in there also when they call to order the engine they give the salvage place the wrong Vin# and they refuse the extended warranty on the engine they only got it warranty for 3 months. The salvage place did they job and notified about the engine them because they are decent human being. I call for Mike and Pete at Johnston Toyota they gave me the run around every time, most of the time teller told me they are not at their desks to leave them a message and when I do they never call back, finally I told the teller she needed to find one of them and they need fax or email me the purchase receipt. I'm writing this because I found out today from the salvage place that Mike and Pete knew about the engine burning oil and when call Pete and ask him if he knew that information why would he buy it and sent the car to me like that he hang up on me multiple time. Mike the service manager is extremely rude and Pete the general manager hang up the phone on me more than twice saying "You need to deal with the salvage place we got you an engine and put it in there that is all we had to do so it is done I am not entertaining you by talking to you". Horrible, horrible place to go and get your car service. Not to mentioned when I was there many other people had problem with that same guy Mike. That is what they sent me when I asked for a receipt.

I went in for my first Toyota care 5000 mile check...

I went in for my first Toyota care 5000 mile check up which included a tire rotation and all fluid check. Thought that I was also going.to get an oil and filter, but that comes at the 10,000 mile service because of synthetic oil from Toyota.
I was very pleased with the service. The establishment was very immaculate and comfortable.
I was out of there within 40 minutes.
Afterward, I got my free car wash down the
road.

Tom Hodge was our salesman, and the sale was fair and transparent. The Jeep was clean and the transaction went quickly with no hassle and a friendly attitude. I can't think of anything that they could have done better, so they will get five stars. :p

I started going to Johnstons Toyota after being referred by a friend who spoke very highly of his experience with your Service Advisor, Mike Plunkett. Since my first experience, I have felt certain that Johnstons is now where I need to go for service needs. The care, patience, trust and knowledge that Mike Plunkett provided will keep me coming back. In fact, I have recommended your service department to so many friends because of the trust and comfort I feel with Mike. I feel so lucky to have found someone that I can trust wholeheartedly. He is a great asset to Johnstons.

On Oct. 22nd I was a 'Damsel in Distress' with my car. Called Johnstons early in the morning and Russ MacIntosh told me to bring the car in and it would be checked out. It was, the problem was fixed and he also took the time to present me with information on new tires explaining pros and cons of all.He kindness and thoughtfulness was very much appreciated. I also enjoyed a cider donut!!

Yesterday I drove home my 2017 Toyota Highlander SE from Johnstons Toyota and I couldn t be happier. From start to finish, Brandon was the best sales person you could ever ask for. My father and I both agreed on this as he wasn t pushy and very informative. He did everything he could to get me into a car that was perfect for my family. Dan from Finance was also amazing. He finalized all of the paperwork and made is a surprisingly good time. I 100% would recommend this dealership. I won t be going anywhere else. Huge shout out to Brandon and Dan! Thank you guys so much.

Bought about 12 cars from here and never received ...

Bought about 12 cars from here and never received one good deal. Always liked Toyota for reliability but apparently they are not interested in keeping there customers happy because they really screwed us on our last purchase. Went to Suresky Dodge and they came through.
