Good pizza and pasta. Vegeterian gluten free option was delicious
Excellent place to enjoy delicious pizzas. I highly recommend it.
don t like the pizza, but limited choice around here.
The pizza was really good if you like pan crust. Lots of topping options and specialty combos if you don't like choosing your own. The giant is 19" and good for sharing with a group. Pitchers of beer and wine available. If you want the same food with table service, go next door to the Outlaw Saloon (literally next door).
The girl who took our order didn't really seemed like she cared, and she tried to add $23 to our order. It was $40 and she told us that it was $63. Unacceptable. Sad!
One of the best places to eat at mammoth lakes. Their pizza's are really tasty and also pretty big. They also have a bar in a separate room.
Pizza was ok. Overpriced for a step above Costco pizza. The employees are not very friendly. Guess they are used to tourists and not repeat customers. Soda fountain flat too.
Staff is very friendly and food isn't bad at all. I loved the wings and the crust on the pizza was perfect.
Good pizza and very good atmosphere. Thank you so much for a good evening
This and the adjoining bar (Outlaw) are a great evening place (staying open later than most) for pizza & drinks. John's side is more family friendly, booths, pizza & beer. Outlaw side is more 21+ with same food with full bar, lots of bar seats and high top tables. Great staff and reasonable prices!
The service on the pizza side was absolutely horrible. It was busy but the bartender's just did not know what they were doing. Liberty which is very close by was much much much better. I was there during the Patriots playoff game and like I said it was busy but the bartenders seemed like robots that just didn't care. Apathetic.
Great pizza!! We called in our order for pick up. Andrew did a great job at taking our order!! Everything was delicious
Not the best but still pretty good. A bit pricey though.
The place is very interesting. Despite their name, they don't just sell pizzas. Pizza is tasty and well served, but the "high" price should only make sense because this property is in Mammoth Lakes. In other words, anything in this city is expensive.
I, in particular, was well attended and left the place satisfied. I had no problem.
Great atmosphere. Place jumping with families. Packed. Good food and beer. Nice bar attached. Games for kids
Awesome place. Good food, great drinks. Perfect place to catch a lil' football, have a couple barley pops, and get some grub!
Tasty pizzas, beers and ice cream! The atmosphere is very pleasant
Great service, amazing environment, phenomenal food and most of all blazing experience.
A fun pizza parlor in Mammoth, prices are okay and quality is average. Happy hour prices are definitely worth it.
Lots of choices! Good food. Kind of noisy, but a world series game was on, so.....
This place was suggested to us by friends who have been there. Overall I enjoyed the experience. We ordered the pesto pizza and it was so delicious! An excellent option for any vegetarian. The drinks were ample and stiff. The service was awesome. The poor waitress dropped some utensils on me and she might have felt bad but I just want her to know it s okay lol this was my first time in mammoth and I definitely will be revisiting this place next time I come back!
Food was great and will go back. Food came out quickly and had a good relaxed vibe. the owner John was super nice and even helped pull our car out when it got stuck in the snow. Talk about full service!
Awesome pizza and beer...very accommodating considering the covid sitch.
Great food prices are a little high but reasonable really fast service
Open till midnight. Good pizzas. And efficient People
This is the kind of place that doesn't need another positive review but I am going to give it one anyways. This is the spot in Mammoth, good bar, good atmosphere, great pizza and food. Love the wings and the bowl of sauce they come in!
For a place that depends on customers to survive, I will say what pretty much all the 1 star have in common. Waiter unprofessional, the short guy. I can't speak for others. Party of 4 food comes 15 minutes apart from each other. I had to ask when our food was coming...the guy gave me a look like...i don't know I don't care.
When it came, French fries were soggy, that tells me the food was waiting to be served for a long time. Since I grew up with my dad owning multiple restaurants, I know the importance of tipping, which I did...but let me tell you, it did cross my mind not to tip.
I don't want the owner writing and bragging how wonderful my people are. Take my advice, in these horrendous economic times, train your employees to be cordial and respectful and to check on there customers often.
Wing Wednesday will get you through the hump day. Food and drinks are great. This should be one of your Mammoth stops.
The food was excellent, really good, and large portions. The drawback was the order process, where you order at the counter, and when the food is ready, they announce it over the speakers. The issue was that the place was so noicy that it was impossible to hear what order they were announcing.
Thought the pizza was great. Beer options were decent. Place was clean. Service was quick and courteous.
Awesome and delicious pizzas. Super clean place and very friendly workers. Definitely we are coming back!
Open late, good food, Lauryn was super friendly, super great! We drove through on a roadtrip from Washington and she gave us recommendations to check out on our trip. 10/10 spot!
Best pizza and wings I've ever had. It's a bit pricy but extremely good pizza and wings.
Asked about our order to go 40 minutes after ordering and was told one minute. Asked again at near an hour and they never started it. The refunded our money..
Edit: they gave is the pizza and our money. Looking forward to trying it when I get home!
Good pizzas for this price. The way they work there is different than what you expect when you step inside. It works about the same as a fast food restaurant. You have to order at a cash register and pick it up yourself instead of having waiters and waitresses walking around.
Really good pizza!
50 bucks for fried pickles, large house speciality pizza, and two beers.
Let me begin with this: this place is EXPENSIVE. We had chicken tenders + smallest pizza + Thai chicken salad + veggies pasta = $70 (no drinks!!!)
Veggies pasta was okay, not delicious. Everything else was plain bad.
Service lady was good, that s the star I m giving them. Stay away from this place if you re visiting Mammoth Lakes.
Good thin crust Pizza, comfortable & festive environment with some good draft beers on tap. You can also get great cocktails from The Outlaw Bar (21 yrs. & over only) adjoining saloon next door, under same ownership. You've got it all in one place! They've got great big flat screen TV's in both John's Pizza & The Outlaw Saloon, perfect for watching all sports & the Olympics! Best family pizza joint & adult Saloon Mammoth has to offer!
The wings were excellent and the pizza is top notch. Will definitely be visiting on my next time in Mammoth.
We ve been living in Mammoth for about 3 months during COVID. John s has become our go-to wings and tenders spot. Pizza is OK, looks better than it is, but still the best pizza in town.
Horrible pizza He got me wrong. I had decomposition.
Excellent pizza
Service lacking
Overpriced and they have a sign at the main door that refuses service animals unless you re blind or deaf which is against federal law under ADA. Anyone with a service animal (this does not included ESA) is welcome into any business and does not need to tell the employees what there disability is, medical history and papers to prove the dog is service dog. I thought the sign was ridiculous that they want you to have a clear disability(many people with service dogs are not blind/deaf and have other disabilities that may be hidden) in order to bring your trained service dog in. FYI to the business, you can only ask is this a service dog and what task does your service dog perform. You may ask someone with a service dog to leave if they re out of control, but you have no right to refuse a well trained service dog because you do not want them around!
Great food and friendly staff, awesome happy hour prices and specials. Definitely a great place to stop if you're hungry and in the area.
Great pizza and I'm a pizza guy. Awesome local brews on draft. Our waitress wasn't the best but it was very busy or maybe she was just having a bad day. Will return for sure.
Good food, that you can order late, and they gave me my side sauce at no additional cost.
Cool relaxing place, with sports and ice cream shop
Overall, the food and service was very good. My only complaint is that the bar area was very warm. I was playing pool with friends and we were sweating. They need some fans to circulate the air. Was disappointed that no servers ever approached us for drink orders. I had to keep going to the bar myself.
Food was good, beer was good. Bar side was a little loud but the restaurant side was quieter if needed. Pizza was good, matzu wings were awesome!
Expert bartender and tech person helped my friend put Google maps onto his phone thank you
One of the few places open after 9pm. Craft beers, sports on TV, pizza and delicious chicken wings. The evening saved us
Prefer this to the other pizza places in town. The large is actually a large and not a tiny thing, the pies have no pretense, and there's a little arcade and big TVs for kids and adults alike.
Let's be honest, pizza in a tourist trap is usually mass market food, and this place has no pretense-- they do a very good job of mass market food.
Delicious pizza and fresh salad! Josh was above and beyond the best server. The music was fabulous and the atmosphere perfect. Can't wait to return!
Their food is really good and they're friendly. The arcade is entertaining and actually works.
