The pizza was really good if you like pan crust. Lots of topping options and specialty combos if you don't like choosing your own. The giant is 19" and good for sharing with a group. Pitchers of beer and wine available. If you want the same food with table service, go next door to the Outlaw Saloon (literally next door).

This and the adjoining bar (Outlaw) are a great evening place (staying open later than most) for pizza & drinks. John's side is more family friendly, booths, pizza & beer. Outlaw side is more 21+ with same food with full bar, lots of bar seats and high top tables. Great staff and reasonable prices!

The service on the pizza side was absolutely horrible. It was busy but the bartender's just did not know what they were doing. Liberty which is very close by was much much much better. I was there during the Patriots playoff game and like I said it was busy but the bartenders seemed like robots that just didn't care. Apathetic.

The place is very interesting. Despite their name, they don't just sell pizzas. Pizza is tasty and well served, but the "high" price should only make sense because this property is in Mammoth Lakes. In other words, anything in this city is expensive.
I, in particular, was well attended and left the place satisfied. I had no problem.

This place was suggested to us by friends who have been there. Overall I enjoyed the experience. We ordered the pesto pizza and it was so delicious! An excellent option for any vegetarian. The drinks were ample and stiff. The service was awesome. The poor waitress dropped some utensils on me and she might have felt bad but I just want her to know it s okay lol this was my first time in mammoth and I definitely will be revisiting this place next time I come back!

Food was great and will go back. Food came out quickly and had a good relaxed vibe. the owner John was super nice and even helped pull our car out when it got stuck in the snow. Talk about full service!

This is the kind of place that doesn't need another positive review but I am going to give it one anyways. This is the spot in Mammoth, good bar, good atmosphere, great pizza and food. Love the wings and the bowl of sauce they come in!

For a place that depends on customers to survive, I will say what pretty much all the 1 star have in common. Waiter unprofessional, the short guy. I can't speak for others. Party of 4 food comes 15 minutes apart from each other. I had to ask when our food was coming...the guy gave me a look like...i don't know I don't care.
When it came, French fries were soggy, that tells me the food was waiting to be served for a long time. Since I grew up with my dad owning multiple restaurants, I know the importance of tipping, which I did...but let me tell you, it did cross my mind not to tip.
I don't want the owner writing and bragging how wonderful my people are. Take my advice, in these horrendous economic times, train your employees to be cordial and respectful and to check on there customers often.

The food was excellent, really good, and large portions. The drawback was the order process, where you order at the counter, and when the food is ready, they announce it over the speakers. The issue was that the place was so noicy that it was impossible to hear what order they were announcing.

Asked about our order to go 40 minutes after ordering and was told one minute. Asked again at near an hour and they never started it. The refunded our money..

Edit: they gave is the pizza and our money. Looking forward to trying it when I get home!

Good pizzas for this price. The way they work there is different than what you expect when you step inside. It works about the same as a fast food restaurant. You have to order at a cash register and pick it up yourself instead of having waiters and waitresses walking around.

Let me begin with this: this place is EXPENSIVE. We had chicken tenders + smallest pizza + Thai chicken salad + veggies pasta = $70 (no drinks!!!)
Veggies pasta was okay, not delicious. Everything else was plain bad.
Service lady was good, that s the star I m giving them. Stay away from this place if you re visiting Mammoth Lakes.

Good thin crust Pizza, comfortable & festive environment with some good draft beers on tap. You can also get great cocktails from The Outlaw Bar (21 yrs. & over only) adjoining saloon next door, under same ownership. You've got it all in one place! They've got great big flat screen TV's in both John's Pizza & The Outlaw Saloon, perfect for watching all sports & the Olympics! Best family pizza joint & adult Saloon Mammoth has to offer!

Overpriced and they have a sign at the main door that refuses service animals unless you re blind or deaf which is against federal law under ADA. Anyone with a service animal (this does not included ESA) is welcome into any business and does not need to tell the employees what there disability is, medical history and papers to prove the dog is service dog. I thought the sign was ridiculous that they want you to have a clear disability(many people with service dogs are not blind/deaf and have other disabilities that may be hidden) in order to bring your trained service dog in. FYI to the business, you can only ask is this a service dog and what task does your service dog perform. You may ask someone with a service dog to leave if they re out of control, but you have no right to refuse a well trained service dog because you do not want them around!

Love it

Overall, the food and service was very good. My only complaint is that the bar area was very warm. I was playing pool with friends and we were sweating. They need some fans to circulate the air. Was disappointed that no servers ever approached us for drink orders. I had to keep going to the bar myself.

Prefer this to the other pizza places in town. The large is actually a large and not a tiny thing, the pies have no pretense, and there's a little arcade and big TVs for kids and adults alike.

Let's be honest, pizza in a tourist trap is usually mass market food, and this place has no pretense-- they do a very good job of mass market food.
