Fantastic agency. Staff is exceptional ! After the first class to see the change in my granddaughters self esteem was priceless. Emphasis on loving yourself and living your dream and given the tools to achieve that is the upmost goal of this agency. We took our daughter Jaime to the IMTA 2015 with John Robert Powers Philadelphia. it was an amazing experience. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Working with Mindy, Mr. Ross and their staff was great. They are all professional and friendly. Very involved with their clients. If anyone is planning on joining an agency I would highly recommend JRP Philadelphia. We travelled to Philly every two weeks to prepare for the IMTA 2015. It was worth every minute spent traveling. I would definitely do it again but only with them. It is an experience of a lifetime and you knew the JRP people instantly. WOW!!! We also met some really great people that we will remain friends with even though we live far apart. It was like a second family. Go. Enjoy. But only with JRP Philadelphia. They rock.
John Robert Powers was life changing. Without them I would be a bored teenager who is lazy and goes on Instagram all day. Instead I focus on my school work, etiquette, makeup, hair, visual poise. If I'm not doing schoolwork, I'm doing something related to JRP. I'm never bored. Mindy and Mr. Ross welcome you under their wing like family. The staff is amazing and is always there if you have questions. Honestly if I could I would give them twenty stars. John Robert Powers was an overall great experience. I am glad to be a Powers grad!
I can't thank Mr. Ross and Mindy enough..I don't think there is anyone who cares about the people she represents as much as Mindy does. I have so many positive things to say about JRP (John Robert Powers) and not one negative. You might question that, but please believe me when I say this is the absolute BEST agency in the tri-state area. They are the real deal. My son is a client for acting and modeling. He has been working very hard at this and we have gone through a couple agents that were nothing but a huge rip off. We were referred to JRP and ever since that referral, he has had professional training for runway and acting. We have received solid advice and doors have been opened for him. We recently attended IMTA in New York and without the assistance/representation of JRP, we would be lost. Mindy Sills and Mr. Ross are genuinely amazing individuals. Not only do they care about you, but if you have the drive that is needed for the entertainment world and the modeling word - they will guide you to the right places. Keep in mind, there is never a guarantee that your son or daughter will "make it big"; however, with the guidance of JRP, you certainly have a fighting chance. My name is Ariana Martinez. The week of July 25th, I was a 2015 International Model & Talent (IMTA) contestant in NYC. The training I took pushed me to be noticed by Agents from all over the world and got me to win many awards. Besides all the awards I ve won at the IMTA, my greatest accomplishment during the IMTA week was being the first runner up for Commercial Model of the year, Runway and Fashion Print. It was an Amazing week! It was the training I received from John Robert Powers that got me to be noticed by agents and call-backs from Barcelona, Finland, NY, LA and many more. At age 52 John Robert Powers Director Mindy Sills and her Staff trained me so successfully that I am writing this review from New York! I m here with about 300 Casting Directors, Agents, and Managers at the International Models and Talent Agency 2019 (IMTA) convention! For 4 days this has been a non-stop experience with with trainings, meetings, and interviews with industry professionals. Even though most of the people were tall, young, and breathtakingly beautiful, with my training I was still confident enough to get several call backs! Even at a world class level! I will carry my confidence from these experiences with me for the rest of my life! I am now a new person! Thanks Mindy I love you !
JRP what an amazing modeling school. I started in November at this school from my cousin telling me about this place. As I walked in great energy from all of the workers and shout-out to MINDY and SUMMER for every thing. LOVE AND KISSES
It was a nice experience but overall it is a scam. Agencies don't ask for money upfront. This is a school, not an agency.
This would have been wonderful as a finishing school or even a modeling school. My family asked specifically if this would provide acting training, and it honestly did not.
If your kid needs a confidence boost or wants to try modeling out, go for it. However, it is not an acting school and not an agency. Go in with your eyes open.

My family's experience with JRP Philadelphia has been wonderful. The entire staff and teachers are unfailingly professional and polite. They're also genuinely nice people. When you're a student there you're not just a paycheck to them, you become part of the Powers Philadelphia family. In fact, their values, business ethics, and results impressed me so much that I've become a sort of unofficial brand ambassador.
Here's what happened after we discovered John Robert Powers Philadelphia. Our daughter enrolled there and got wonderful pictures, which were included in the very reasonable tuition. Through Powers, she was signed by a NY agent and got paid jobs in two movies. Powers Philadelphia is also an agency, which regularly gets its graduates paid modeling and acting jobs. And they don't just work with children and teens. In 2013 I went with Powers to the IMTA convention in NYC. I was signed by both my daughter's agent and a manager/agent in Philadelphia. I've already earned back most of the cost of the convention.
Some people say John Robert Powers and the IMTA convention are a scam. Anyone who assures you your daughter can be a high-fashion model even if she's a little overweight, or promises you'll get an agent if you go to IMTA, is lying. Mindy and Mr. Ross, the directors of JRP Philadelphia, never promise that. What they do promise, and deliver, is that you'll go to IMTA fully prepared for the opportunities you'll have there to meet real agents and casting directors. But they can't force agents to sign you. If you or your son or daughter really want to get into modeling or acting, AND you have the look and the talent, Mindy and Mr. Ross will bend over backward to help you.
