C. Madeleines Vintage Review

I found it a little expensive. But what a chic store !!!

This place was beyond amazing. Madeleine was an amazing woman that shared her whole story on YouTube and it is my favorite video. The store was beautifully designed and decorated with finesse. I cannot wait to go again! Thank you, Madeleine, for an amazing experience.

If you are thinking in taking your items to this place or to they re new location (if they open again) I advice you to go on Yelp and carefully read all the reviews this people have and all the comments attached to the reviews, it is a pattern from them to do the same over and over again...
Since 2004 I was taking all my designer items , one of a kind treasures etc thinking they were in good hands and thinking she would get me more money for them. Let me tell you many things never sold due to the excessive price she listed the items , really what I was doing was contributing with her to keep her museum alive.... every month when I called was a mission for them to tell me if anything sold , ofcourse playing with peoples money not wanting to pay , always telling me that Richard was busy , other times that it had to be after the 15th of the month bla bla bla
Something else that most people dont know is that they lend your items without your permission to fashion shows and tv shows , imaging how hour items came back after the use and abuse of those character that didn t care , perfume smells, makeup all over , jewelry missing stones and the list goes on and on...
Eventually when I got tired of all of that I requested for all my items to be gathered for me to pick them up and they just found a few and I have 6 pages of items not found in the store , what does this means ? Yes they sold the items and didn t want to pay me , they owe me a total of $5000.00 , money that I ll never see. I wasn t even interested in the money but my items back but ofcourse if the items are no where found I expect my money .
I invite you to read other reviews on them , not good people to do business with .
I wished I knew this was going to happen , I would of have enjoyed even donating my items to the less fortunate than to give them away to people with no respect for clients , no profesional ethics , no compassion for others etc
I have proof of everything I say with documents and even from girls that worked with them are witnesses and back up on my statement!

beyond insane prices ...mens clothing was soso..were not talkin over the top great heavily embroidered chain stitched shirts ..were talkin plain ole bowling shirts with holes pitting and stains ..their 50's bowling shirts ya can get all day on ebay for 30 to 40 they had for $400 to $500 ...70's westrern shirts were $200 to $300 ,,fedora hats in very rough condition for $150 to $300...celebs or not its just not right to charge that much for a shirt just beacause its vintage ..vintage isnt worth anything ..subject matter ,rarity and condition is ..and at least their mens stuff didnt have it ...their ties start at $100 to $150 ...one hundred for non designer ties!!!! ....the one item i liked was a black cardigan sweat shirt that had no tag so it was impossible to date it ..looked vintage , just plain black , fit me great ...but it was - $185.....oh and a 1980's levis denim jacket ...not a blue bell , not a big e or selvedge or somethin vintage or rare but a plain 80's levis denim jacket ....can you guess how much ? ....$265.....for a denim jacket ....beyond offensive ...not even california or new york vintage is this nuts , beyond offensive ...get a couple celebs in yer store and you can charge this aswell ....rediculous ...unless your rich and extremely lazy and impatient where ya dont wanna buy it for 30 bucks on ebay and have to wait 4 days to get it in the mail go to c madelines and spend a fortune for somethin you can never resell for a quarter of what ya paid for it .......
