Johann's Restaurant and Catering Review

Food here has always been good even when it took a long time to get to our table. We had a couple of unfortunate things happen like: they put cheese a burger that was ordered with no cheese, no condiments...just a plain burger on a plain roll! Another time no gravey on the fries with my hot beef sandwich, 3-4 times I sent food back because it was COLD, not even luke warm...it was cold! They have not been that busy on nights that we have stopped in so we keep thinking it might have gotten better...but it hasn't I am sorry to say. We believe in supporting our neighborhood venues but not when there in constantly something wrong with what you order. We thought that maybe the cooks were having a bad night...but it to has happened to many times. Again, it is such a shame because everything that we have ever ordered (that came correct) was excellent and the prices were reasonable too. Sorry for this review but maybe it will open your eyes to see that you have a gold mine here if you could just get the kitchen staff straightened out.

My wife's salad was rotten, the cream of crab soup had no crab, and the crab cake was burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside, which made the tasteless crab very chewy. I thought really hard about even brining it home for the dogs....

Prices have gone up, the service has gone down. Owner needs to do something about the service.

Never been here before, but if this is the type of people you employ to run your business don't think I will.

Johann's is GREAT!!! Their steaks are the best I've had in a local lounge and restaurant. They treat us like family and we keep going back!!!!!

This is a place that's very country... it's off the beaten path. Decent food and they get small (usually duo) bands some weekends. Every table is against the walls around the bar, so take that for what it tells you... Jeans and a ballcap (girls, too!). A small packaged goods store is in the back as though you're headed toward the kitchen. This comes in very handy if you're headed out to a boat ramp, yacht club or marina (or live in Timbuktu.) The staff is very nice!

The service is a little slow, but it is ALWAYS worth it. One of the best steaks you will ever eat. I love the waitress very no-nonsense but so sweet at the same time. Cozy little spot that you have to try!

They have the best cream of crab in town. Hot beef and gravy was great. Sherry our waitress is the best. Will definitely be back
