Service was not very good and our steaks were under cooked .This was our second bad meal here in a row . You may want to try some where else. The quality doesn't seem as good as when they had one place.

The food would have been perfect but it wasn't served hot. We had a party of 4 and all the meals were Luke warm at best and the potatoes were cold. Even the appetizers and bisque were not hot. I don't understand what happened.

WOW! I walked in wearing work boots and tattered pants after a 12 hour day of doing concrete. They offered me my choice of seat, and the most prompt service I have received in years. Classy atmosphere, exactly what you look for in a steak place (lots of nostalgia), along with an excellent selection of spirits. The food is amazing, expensive, but you get what you pay for (I had surf and turf) and will make you want to come back for more. Best dining experience I have had in a long time, way to go guys!

Overall, we were just underwhelmed. We have been to Mr. B s in Brookfield a few times and very much enjoyed it. We decided to try the Mequon location this time, but it may have been a mistake.

First of all though, our servers were very good and polite. It was unfortunately the food that let us down.

We both agreed that our steaks were just not quite what we had hoped for. They just didn t have the same flavor as the Brookfield location or other places like the Milwaukee Chophouse, Mo s, or Five O Clock. Hers looked cooked correctly, but mine was more medium-rare or even medium in about 1/3 of it than rare, which I had ordered. There were parts that were rare, but only a few bites. In addition, I may have just been unlucky, but it was the leanest, least marbled ribeye I ve ever seen. If I didn t know by the shape, I may have thought it was a filet.

The was just as good as any other steakhouse we ve been to. The bread was a bit stale, but that s alright, it s free after all. Lastly, the drinks were very good.

In conclusion, we had a perfectly okay experience. The restaurant is still relatively new I think, so perhaps they re still hitting their stride. In any case, our dinner had ups and downs, it s just unfortunate that the primary down was what should have been the main attraction.

One of the best surf and turf dinners I've had in a long time. Huge wine list to choose from. Mr Bartolatta stopped by our table to check how everything was. Great service. Great experience.

Way to expensive for what you get. Ordered shrimp cocktail for 15 bucks and got 4 shrimp. Then ordered the filet and crab legs. 8oz steak was pretty good cooked right good cut of meat. The crab legs were the problem. It came out as half of 1 crab leg. 1 crab leg cut length wise in half and you do not get the other half. When I asked the waiter when the other half of my crab leg was coming he laughed at me. A manager did try to help. He did get me the other half of my 1 crab leg. Two people 3 drinks total plus meal was 180 bucks! Will not be going back. I've had way better food for way less money.

Had a variety of menu items from fish to steak. Prices to value a little high. Fish was better than the steak filet. Little things missed during service.
Still have not found any place to compete with Eddie Martinis in Wauwatosa.

It was okay. I spent almost $400 and for that price I would expect a perfect steak. It was tough and flavorless. It was cooked perfectly an exact medium rare. The service was amazing but I just can't get over the lack of flavor.

Service was great. We ordered the burger medium rare. It was to be a 1/2lb burger.
When we got it it well done and dry, and definitely not a 1/2 lb burger more like a 1/4 lb.
The chowder was ok strange taste.. asked for slice of bread with chowder was told it was not ready. A few min later the table next to us got chowder and bread.
We did not get any bread.
Order the oysters, very small and not worth the price for three.
The drinks were good. Haystack onion rings soggy and greasy.. I was expecting more quality.

The Brookfield location is a step above this one for sure, ordered the twin Alaskan lobster tails they came out warm, the butter came out room temperature with no warmer under it. The steaks and scallops combos we ordered we're good then we were asked if we wanted the desert we ordered it only to wait just under 15 minutes for a slice of pie....

I wish they had a negative star rating. If you want to be treated really bad, go here. You have to wear a mask except when putting food in your mouth. A "greeter" will meet you at the door to explain the rules, which according to him you should know from the website, he is wearing a mask and gloves, he will inform you of all the things you should and should not do... ask him where to put your coat, he will say "over there". If you want to live in fear, this is place for you. I think sensible precaution is warranted, but this is just over the top, we left .... what is really sad is that the staff lost out on at least $100 tip.

Atmosphere was incredible as was the food. This is the only reason I didn't have two stars. Service from our waiter was very subpar. I realize people have bad days, but this waiter just cost this fine establishment a $200.00 customer from coming back. 8-(

Visited two previous times and food was 10/10. Tonight was our first time back since it became a Mr. B's and was very disappointed. My wife and I ordered medium rare steaks. Mine came well done/unseasoned and her NY Strip came rare and charred black on one side. Not sure we will be back.

My favorite steakhouse. Romantic atmosphere. Best quality food, everything is made to perfection. Expect to spend 60 to 80 per person when you go. It is worth every penny (coming from a cheapskate)

The food was amazing and our steaks were served pefectly medium rare. The creamed spinach was perhaps the best we ever had. The only reason for four stars instead of five was the wait staff. We had a male and female team and they could have been nicer, maybe even smile once.

I m not a steak person (I know, why go to a steakhouse if you aren t a steak person) and everything was so good! Our table ordered drinks, appetizers, meals, and shared a dessert. Everything was so tasty and the ambiance of the restaurant and great. The food came surprisingly fast and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend going.

Absolutely dynamite food. Their service is top notch as well. They waiter actually asked if the steak was cooked well enough before we even had the chance to say it ourselves. Truly a great dining experience.

We had a fantastic experience! We called in only shortly ahead of our arrival with several kids and adults in tow and we well served. The staff was attentive and very insightful in helping with our group. The food was simply outstanding!

Completely underwhelming from the food to the service. Compared to Eddie's or Carnevor not even in the same universe. So disappointed by Bartolotta this time vs their Restauante Bartollota or Baccus or Lake Park Bistro which have all been quite good and always great service. Not just our server, who was nice and polite but inattentive no knowledge of menu or specials or details, but I watched servers around us also and none of them were very good so perhaps a training issue.

For the money... head to Eddie's or Carnevor for sure. Not even a close 2nd.

First couple to be seated and served on a Monday... Both steaks were to be cooked medium rare, came out well-done.. It is fine we will eat it. Our server apologized and offered free dessert or after dinner drinks.. We got dessert, I wanted the brownie sundae.. Got just a sundae... Whatever, but if you are going to be a high end steak house please make the steaks right.. This should not be a problem. Food was good though, service, so-so. I use to work in a restaurant and I could do better.

Yeah, it's pretty ok. If it was half the cost, easy 5 stars. But a "seafood tower" is not a small bowl on a giant metal stand - well, here it is, but in my head it's something more. Especially for 30$. Thirty. Dollars. For two oysters, a bread crust, an average lobster tail, and a crab leg split in half. lol. Steak was really good. Twice baked potato, pretty meh. Again, 3$ up charge for a potato. 12$ cocktails. Coat check... I dunno, a strip mall on the river I don't think warrants this sort of charge. I too preferred Joey's. This place is hollow. Cold. Perhaps a touch to "stuffy" for my tastes. Expect to spend over 100$ a person, possibly leaving not hungry, but not stuffed either. Beh, I don't know that I need to go back.

Very nice place with very friendly staff and delicious steaks. I've been there only once but I think I may recommend it, I was 100% satisfied :) hopefully will have a chance to visit Mr. B's again.

My wife and I celebrated our 34th anniversary by going to Mr. B's Steakhouse (formerly Joey Gerards), in Mequon.
We had made a reservation, and arrived at 5:30pm.
An employee at the entrance informed us of the current house rules regarding Covid dining safety.
We were seated immediately in a booth overlooking the Milwaukee River, towards the rear of the restaurant. A waiter soon arrived with a basket containing a single small warm loaf of bread, a plate of butter, and 2 appetizer plates. She also took our drink order, two Tanqueray and Schweppes gin and tonics.
The drinks soon arrived; two 6oz. glasses full of ice, some gin(?) and flat tonic(?). We sent them back with our original drink request. Subsequently we were told, with an apology, that Schweppes tonic wasn't available and that the tonic used was dispensed from a bar dispenser. We were informed of the bottled tonic available which we found satisfactory. Drinks were still small, but OK.
We placed our dinner order, two 8oz. filets, Salad, shellfish bisque, baked potato, and pan fried potatoes with bacon and onions. Wait time for entres was about 20 minutes. Steaks were done perfectly and the Cabernet sauce was excellent. While not buttery fork tender, the meat was delicious. The side of roasted potatoes and diced pork belly was also unexpectedly good. The wait staff was very attentive, but did not hover. When informed it was our anniversary, we were presented with 2 flutes of what seemed to be a medium sweet Prosecco (on the house) along with a shared chocolate lava cake dessert.
Dining experience lasted about an hour. Our bill including two cocktails, one local tap beer, Coke, and two coffees, $190.00 +20% tip.
Conclusion: service 5 star food 3-4 star ambience 4 star. Value for the money 2 star.
For what they charge, they need to up their game.

Our visit started off amazing as usual.

Our visit started off amazing as usual.
We love Mequon location, and go pretty often.
I was with a few friends and they were very accommodating. My steak was ordered rare and it came out very well done, crispy in fact, and they had to remake it while my husband and friends ate.
They offered is a very cheap dessert to make up for the wait and were very vigilant in asking if we needed anything. It was the first time I had a bad experience and I was disappointed. I'll go back definitely, but won't order the bone in rib eye again.

Went there on our honeymoon when we stayed at sybaris. Very expensive, but it was our honeymoon. The food was probably one of the best overall meals I ever had. Went all out and had lobster mac and cheese, amazing. Surf and turf. Steak was was great by itself, then added Mr b's sauce, wow. Wife had fillet and crab cake. Mixed drink were strong. Because it was our honeymoon we got complimentary champagne. We don't like champagne but it was actually kind of good. We got cheesecake to go. Plan on spending at least $50 a person. Ours was just over $160.
