I’m a huge fan of this fragrance from Jil Sander. While it might not be as mainstream here in the US, it’s definitely a respected name in Europe, particularly in Germany. The scent opens with sweet orange blossom and heliotrope, offering a subtle fruity touch that is perfectly grounded by a rich base of benzoin and vanilla. There’s also a nice citrus hint that keeps it fresh. It’s an excellent choice for summer, whether you’re applying it right after a shower or heading out for the day or a casual date. The longevity is above average, and my collection of three bottles proves how much I love it.

I actually came across this scent through a fragrance review and decided to give a German brand a try for the first time. While it starts off nicely and fresh, that freshness fades rather quickly, lasting only about 30 minutes. The longevity is quite poor—I found myself reapplying it three times during an eight-hour day. It feels like what you get for the price, which explains the projection issues.

Since Jil Sander has no contact address in Germany, I contacted this store with a complaint on 19.1.2016. A short time later, I received a phone call from the store manager, who told me that she would forward the claim to Italy. I have not heard from her since that time. Not in February, not in March, not in April, not in May. And that, although I have even asked by mail. No Answer. Bad customer service can not fail with a noble brand! Even after a month - and a personal visit to the shop - the store manager still does not feel it necessary to get in touch. That is how she broke her word for the second time.

Super nice store with great advice and personal service

I ve never been encountered by a barking aggressive dog in a store of this category! Today as I walked into the store in Berlin s Kdamm, I ve almost had a heart attack as the dog came to me and stoped me barking aggressively There was not a person there to take action. The seller came later calmly after almost 5 minutes and not even apologize! Please, Jil Sander s administration; take care of who is working at your stores. Dogs like this should not be permitted there. This was is not a good experience at all!! In the US the firm can be sued for something like this!

Sometimes - it seems - fashion is "hidden" here! The concept is not very clear to me, because here is indeed really well made "fashion" again! So: SHOW, please!

The Jil Sander No. 4 scent is truly lovely. I find it’s much better suited for the cooler months of autumn and winter rather than the summer. For the best results, apply it right after a shower, and using the matching body lotion definitely helps the scent last longer. If you enjoy this style of fragrance, it’s definitely a worthwhile purchase.

I haven’t visited the Jil Sander site in a while, so I was thrilled to type in scent #4 and be greeted by its photo—it felt like finding a long-lost treasure! Naturally, my excitement dipped when I realized it’s still out of production. I wonder if anyone in leadership is pushing for its return?
