So many great things going on here all the year through!
Amazing place, amazing people. Must for everyone who is Jewish or interested in Jewish culture!
This place is amazing. They have various activities for all ages. Adults and children. Sport, art, cafe etc. Near Oakridge Center.
It has everything a community centre should have. I like the library
Too much holidays! You're paying too much for the membership. Gym is pretty much always close.
Ella Bak is an amazing trainer! She listens to your goals and concerns, she is very knowledgeable . She is able to adjust the workout readily to meet your needs. Highly recommended!!!
Excellent facilities, and knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great food in Nava Cafe. We go there often.
Great center for everyone! The JCCGV serves the community is great ways!
Why are you remaining open and hosting lifeguarding classes? This seems unwise based on the current government recommendations and recent action of the Vancouver Parks Board. Please close your facility and do your part.
Gym is clean with good selection of equipment and lots of room for stretching and body weight exercises.
Amazing basketball gym and swimming pool. Great food.
The lifeguards who work at the pool are so unfriendly and showed us attitude whenever we went there. We definitely felt not welcomed at the pool. Other than that, the other places like the reception, cafe and art gallery staff are really nice and polite.
I have been working with Ella Bak (Personal Trainer at the JCCGV) for almost 2 years, and I can honestly say that she is the best Personal Trainer I have ever worked with. She is incredibly competent, in tune with each of her client's needs, and extremely knowledgeable about the human body, fitness, health and training. Ella is also kind and thoughtful, and we definitely work as a team to achieve my fitness goals.
It s been an amazing experience, mainly by the presence of personal trainers Camila Santos and Jose they are the best! I strongly recommend.
I used the JCC for the 1 month, and I really like all things ....
I strongly recomend the circuit on Friday with PT Camila ..... The class is amazing ....
And during my work out the PT Jose is very helpfull .....
Just WOw... this place is not welcoming people at all.... disrespectful & Sarcastic people. Definitely this place unlike other communitys! You are not welcome there.... if you don t have a membership with them...
I DON T LIKE....
The staff there are so friendly, and the place is well ventilated and bright. Bought one of their chocolate cakes just to try and wow...moist and tender with chocolatey goodness!! I might actually come back just for that :p
I love the community atmosphere. The gallery art show I attended was a good event. I am very proud of my friend for having a piece on the wall and in the auction.
Great people bring great environment creates a caring, respectful kind-hearted community of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. You really connect with them once you sit and have a nice chat in the "Nava Cafe" they've got Pizza, featured Soups & Stews, baked goods and beverages!Kids would love the swimming pool and the free swimming lessons that are offered.
It's an excellent facility. Features a library, art gallery, theatre and fitness facility. Has a lot to offer.
it' OK not great everyone is pushy(not the people who work there)
Place where people and families meet to be closer to Judaism practicing different sports, attending lectures, playing or eating.
A ceter for Jewish and Israely community. Located in a central place and accessable to piblic transportation. Has lots of special programs for kids, teens and seniors. Has a big library for books in hebrew. Has a fitness center, a pool and a coffee. Free parking as well.
Good place for community events including live musical (concerts)
I spent 1 month at JCC and I really enjoyed my time there!! My favorite part was the circuit with PT Camila Santos, she is amazing and really helpful!! I strongly recomend JCC :)
For the Israeli folk dancing, they don t hold hands except for a small clique of people; which defies the purpose of circle dancing. It is akin to going to Hawaii but stay indoors and play video games all day.
Came here to see a musical recently and had a bite to eat at the cafe. The service was friendly and the food delicious.
very good , I have been there many times and all the poeple there are always friendly .

Wonderful Community Center with a nice gym and swimming facilities.
We come here for kids swimming lessons the showers and change room are great best of all the community centers . Free wifi
This is a full-featured community activity center, large swimming pool, theater, indoor sports field; childcare ... called "Jewish Activity Center", but there are no restrictions on service objects.
Love the dynamic and atmosphere of this facility. Super active and yet a real community vibe. Great staff. Friendly and helpful reception. I will return for courses hosted here in the future.
Hard to navigate at first but clean facilities and a decent pool.
The symposium was excellent, the organizing was well done, and the catering was awesome.
Great all around programming for all ages, including pool, gym, theatre, culture. Look at their website for details.
Beautiful but unaffordable. We hope that when they built the new centre, they consider decreasing members monthly fees and giving low income families and homeless people an opportunity to access the facilities for a fair price. We hope they could offer shelter for the homeless.
I go there for the very clean fitness facilities and have a fantastic personal trainer too (highly suggest Ella Bak). The pricing is very reasonable and the staff are incredibly friendly and positive. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the Vancouver region!
This is a fantastic facility with a great sense of community - open to all races and ethnicities. We love all the programs and events for adults and kids and the daycare is exceptional!
Went here as a child and loved it.
As an adult it continues to be an excellent place.
Such an amazing atmosphere- we went there for the Israeli festival, they had some live music, food trucks and lots of activities for children. Ben is one of the guys who ran magic the gathering card club was absolutely amazing!! The kindest person I have met in a long time!! Overall we had a great time
It's a community center. Many Jewish people. Non-Jewish people are welcome too. There are gym, fitness and swimming like in other community centers. But it also has an embedded dance school and theatre, and an art gallery. There are many Arts activities throughout the year. I think it's worth the membership fee.
It is center to learn the word of God and learn how to treat others the way you want to be treated and helps others in need
Got my expensive wetsuit and swimming shorts stolen from this awful facility. Won't be coming back ever
The water quality is terrible and there is sooo much lose hair in the water. The water made all my classes eyes burn including myselves and 2 hours after i notified them they finally tested the water and added some acide because the water was too basic. The water is disgusting and they have a kosher policy which means you cant eat outside food in the facility.
Only place that is currently teaching the National Lifeguard course
Nice place with a variety of activities for the whole family
If you want to get strong and fit, Rocio is the person to find at the JCC. She leads enthusiastic, energetic workout classes that build strength, keep you "cardio fit" and leave you with a workout high at the end. Working out with Rocio is also educational. She always explains what muscles we're trying to target, the proper form to achieve it and how to avoid and protect ourselves from getting injured. Rocio really cares about each person and is constantly watching and customizing corrections as need be. It's hard to make working out fun and rewarding, but Rocio does!
Lots of affordable programs for children of all ages, and the cafe serves very good coffee and desserts. Parking isn't free, but it isn't expensive, either. If you have children, I would certainly recommend stopping by.
Interesting art exhibit in their gallery. On until May 4th.
Solid fitness centre, great gym for basketball, full sized swimming pool and hot tub. Lots of parking and wheelchair accessible.
Very friendly environment and lovely staff. Highly recommended!
My family have been members for 17 years and we have all taken a variety of classes here. I have been working out at the fitness centre for much of this time and have always found the facilities to be well equipped and well maintained.
For the last five years I have worked with Rocio Kriwoy as my personal trainer at the JCCGV Fitness Centre, and she has helped me to reach all of my fitness goals. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer that is results orientated and highly knowledgeable.
Hello. I am very disappointed with the unprofessional and hostile and rude female that I spoke to. Why is it practically impossible for a middle eastern man to work as a fitness instructor there? I was applying for a job. The hostile female manager wsd very unprofessional, rude and hostile.
The staff make this a 4 star location. Though the building is aging, the staff and crew are always polite.
The building is a bit old and you can find free street parking around the area. There s a gallery for silent auction and many programs for kids and adults. There re also many seats in the cafe on ground floor. The gym wasn t as spacious as expected.
I've been a member here for many years and both my kids grew up here with the daycare. It is such a wonderful welcoming community and you can really make some strong connections regardless of your ethnicity. There are always classes and other events one can take advantage of, and the fitness instructors and trainers are all great. It's one of the things I will miss most about living right in the area!
Horrible service with a staff that's extremely disrespectful. A lot of hidden fees and commitments when your looking for services or to use facility. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
Much appreciation for all of the services the JCC offers!
On a scale of 1-10 I would rate working with personal trainer Ella Bak 10. Using her knowledge and expertise she tailored a plan to support my individual goals, with positive encouragement and always with a smile.
I feel much better physically and a lot stronger and I feel positive that I can continue to improve how I feel and look
Thank you
Naama
Facility is kept very clean and is well-maintained. I did an NL (National Lifeguard) re-certification here, and is was run professionally and efficiently. The pool was excellent, and there was a smaller warm pool and hot tub as well. I really loved all the windows in the ceiling, allowing lots of natural light to come through. The Community Centre overall seemed to be an energetic, friendly place! I would love to go back!
