Never tried jerk period but omg this is sooooo delicious

This jerk chicken place has a bad name for jerk they give u baby portion of sides and was expensive but not worth it I'm still trying figure out where my food went

This place is terrible. You got basic chicken thighs, a side and a drink for $15! Don't go here for lunch. Prices have increased every year and the food continues to be the same. Never coming here again.

We got there for fresh chicken quarter's with slaw and added plantains, it was awesome. Had to try the wing's. Omfg they are tasty. Will return.

Gotta try the quarter chicken and the rude girl sauce. Very generous with the sides, the meals here are a great value.

Dion is operating one of the best places to eat in all of Chicago. You can tell by eating this fine establishment that the owner put a lot of time and care into making his food. This is a great story and the bacon is a MUST.

Came from Detroit to this place and the food is great! It literally had my nose running lol. The people that works there are friendly and my over all experience was dope.

Had a great experience here. I've been here several times and quality has been consistent. Food is good and drinks are good too. They have an extensive list of drinks to choose from.

I tried this place out today for the first time on my lunch break. I ordered to go of course. Starting, Ishould have gone with the jerk chicken now that I am reading all the reviews. I purchased the BB-Que Beef Brisket Sandwich, Sweet Plantains and Jerk Yucca fries.

I am 100% disappointment. There was not one drop of Barbecue sauce on the sandwich at all. There is an aioli sauce on it that I am more than positive would taste great with chicken but not on a brisket sandwich. It takes away from the brisket. Luckily there wasn't much of that on there either. I pretty much tossed the bread. The meat it self is very good with a nice smooth kick of spice. But I am not impressed with the sandwich as a whole. I seriously want to toss this in the trash. I received all of about 5 five Yucca Fries. The dinners have very large plates of fries. The sweet plantains were ok. I have had better. I will stick to eating Jerk Food from real Jamaicans.

I suggest if you get the Brisket do not get the sandwich. The brisket is seasoned well and tender.

Service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was nice as well.

Tasty meal. We love the sauces here, especially the rude girl jerk sauce on the jerk fries.

The food was excellent. My mouth was burning nicely after pork shoulder with "Rude Girl" sauce. The plantains were done just right. Tasty CO IPA. The trendy, minimalist decor and loud music made for acoustic indigestion. Younger ears may do better.

This spot is fantastic! Fair rates, large portions and the staff are constantly friendly.

Terrible, not authentic at all, not even a little, its actually the worse "Jerk" chicken I've ever eaten, the slaw is the worst ever. Don't believe me, try for yourself... All in all, 2 thumbs down!!!

I just liked their dishes. I always get excellent service there. The place is neat and the staff members are always very friendly. Will come visit again.

Service was slow for take out order. I didn't observe many ppl waiting for pick up orders, so perhaps the location was understaffed. Food wasn't quite what I expected. The dry rub wings were particularly more bitter than anticipated and that overpowered the combination of spices.

I'll just get straight to the point. The food is not worth the price I paid for it, especially through the GrubHub app. The containers are small, one of them was cracked (Jerk mac n cheese) and the food was not the best I thought it should have been. I tried their fries from a friend and ordered from them off his recommendation that they have good jerk but I was wrong. Me nor my 2 co-workers I ordered for could even eat the entire meal that was paid for. Very upset with this and will not order from here again. There are way better Jerk Jamaican places in Chicago that offer $10 plates that are better than this.

Update: So AFTER I wrote this review, and tried a few more times to contact the company via the phone, I was reached out to by Grace, whom I believe is the GM. Her response was immediately empathetic and concerned as to how the order and overall experience was. I was definitely satisfied with how Grace handled the situation. This place is fortunate to have a manager like Grace who knows how to speak WITH people instead of speaking TO them or DOWN to them. Although I won't partake in anything from the restaurant again, I'm happy with the final outcome to the situation. Thank you Grace for being so gracious!

Extremely slow. Never received whole order. Caribbean Mac was the best on the menu. machine out of pop. Line out the door not because of good food, it's because of waiting on orders to be taken.

I frequent this place often for the brisket. I came last night and they have new staff. Be careful who you are hiring. The service was terrible. Stay blessed.

Not my idea of jerk flavor, however it is a good atmosphere

Just placed my second order from Colorado! Love the Jerk BBQ Sauce! Great taste, great price, great customer service and super fast shipping! Love it ...... Love it ...... Love it!

I absolutely love the food here, but the service is hit-or-miss. Some of the bartenders are great, others won't even serve you at the bar, only the counter(?)
Also their to-go ordering isn't as good as it could be..
Still, I'll keep coming back because I love the food and it's not far from home, I just wish the service was better, or at least more consistent.

Great food, be warned that is is very hot and spicy. One star off for pretty unfriendly service.

Ordered a few different things and they were all delicious. The Jerk Wings were by far the best thing we had there. Wings are my all time favorite food and these are up there with the best! Having. Nice variety of craft beer on tap was like the icing on the cake. If I didn't live an hour away I would be a regular for sure!

Fake jerk chicken. Very bland and certainly not char-grilled with traditional jerk spices/rub. Anyone from the Caribbean or who has had authentic jerk can affirm this. Also, the sides were horrible. $30 down the drain. Live and learn. Don't make the same mistake.

I Love it I was never into Jamaican food (jerk) try it few times in a place next to where I used to work dislike it but when I decided to give it one last shoot I end up eating jerk and this is bad lol now I gotta get this at least 3 times a week love just the right amount of spices they know their products they know what they're cooking.

I've been here each week the last few weeks. The drink selection is superb and I have so many options. The entrees give you so much food and the sides are all delightful. The jerk wings are hands down my favorite things on the menu because of the spice rub and the cook on them. The aioli and rude girl sauces are my favorite. The BBQ sauce has a good heat and is tangy but a little too sweet for my taste. The staff is hands down the most chill I've encountered in a long time; every single person has been very fun and accommodating. I can't deny that the happy hour specials and food prices make it easier for me to eat out even as my budget tightens at the end of each month. Pairing that with the music selection and ability to watch Chicago sports in a different atmosphere than usual, this is my new favorite regular spot in the city.

Plenty of free parking, lots of seats at bar and tables. Good flavors in chicken and fries. Plantains were excellent. BBQ sauce has good fire.Get the Red stripe beer all night long.

Food was cold, called to speak with manager, she stated it would be refunded that was weeks ago.still waiting for refund. Now every time I call no one answers calls and she is never there. Food is not authentic Jamaican, this is a miss not a hit.

aw yisssss jerk chicken to go? watch me run behind the truck. I tried the jerk and it comes with a little round bread which was like a crispy biscuit. I would buy baskets of those. the chicken was really well cooked- super soft, just how I like it and its uber spicy. we asked for some sauce on the side, there's a red and a green, the green is more interesting cos it has herbs and spices in it.

They could stand to stick to their hours, but the food. Holy [expletive deleted], the food. I'd eat there daily if I could.

Amazing food, drink, and atmosphere. The wings are absurdly good. The sauces are spot on. I could eat nothing but Jamaican meat patties for the rest of my life and die a happy man.

This place has a heart and soul that is hard to find in many other places. The food is delicious, and the drinks, including the beer selection are great! It has become a subtle craving-can t what to eat here again!

Found this place randomly online tonight and ordered delivery. The brisket was delicious and the BBQ sauce was really good, And I don't know what this one dude's on about the Mac n cheese in the comments here, I thought it was great.

Everything was neatly packaged and the soda was even ice cold. Best case scenario for trying a.new place in my opinion.

Jerk shines brightest with their sauces and sides. If you re eating later at night be sure to call ahead, as they tend to deplete menu items as the day progresses.
