We tried their chicken at a festival ,it was good then we went to the place, we got there at 9:45 they close at 10:00 and we asked if they were still open and one of the female employees was very rude and said "hell no we close at ten, bye". I get places close early, but there are a lot better ways to go about that like A; close the door or B; politely answer the question...

The food was fantastic! The chicken sandwich and the yuca fries were delicious and very flavorful. Can't wait to go back to try other items on the menu. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. And there is free parking across the street which is another bonus.

Nice place for a quick bite to eat. Food was pretty tasty. If you are looking for a nice place to relax and get some jerk food give them a try.

The food was a little warm would have like to have it hot.

The food here is good. I work across the street and usually get some to the chicken thighs and yuca fries. Now their sauces are amazing and I highly recommend trying them all. As for service, I haven't really sat down and ate here - I just take it back to work, but the employees are always friendly and get me my order out quickly

This is the worst place that I have ever tasted jerk! This is not a real jerk restaurant and is an abomination to all Jamaican restaurants world wide. The chicken had no type of flavor in. The Mac-N-Cheese was almost brown(not like the brown on top of baked macaroni) but brown they used the wrong cheese and other bull crap. They try to be upscale jerk place, BUT THE FOOD IS TRASH! IT HAS NOT TYPE OF SOUL OR FLAVOR! If you want some real jerk, go to a real jamaican restaurant!

Poor service; kitchen said all they had was wings and fries two hours before closing. The customer in front of me ordered additional items. The person at register seemed befuddled that the kitchen staff was saying this. Businesses need money more than I need there chicken; if it was some biased against me.

I want to like this place. I like the spiciness and the sides, but the portions are small (for the price) and sometimes the accompanying sauces are easy to oily.
Maybe the portions aren't small, but then the price is just a bit too high.

The food taste good, but lacks the authentic taste of jerk seasoning. They played it safe with the seasoning, it doesn't stand out. The mac and cheese taste good. Also the price for the meager portion sizes weren't that island friendly, which is why it gets also 2 stars...

Would've given it a 5/5 if it wasnt for the pieces of chewy cartilage in the beef patties.

The taste and spice level is on point. The chewy small pieces of cartilage in multiple patties made it less enjoyable. I recommend upping the quality of your ground beef.

First off the food is incredible, I ordered the Jerk Chicken Sandwich with Jerk Mac and Cheese and both of them were amazing. I ordered delivery, and the food arrived hot with a personalized thank you written on the bag. Definitely give them a try!

My daughter and I went to this place for lunch as she was craving some jerk chicken and beef patties. The chicken pieces were huge ( don't know what these chicken were fed to be that huge). The meal was flavorless. Too bad that a person who had never had jerk meat would think that this is what jerk tastes like. No, this is not what real jerk tastes like. The coleslaw was to spicy. You would think that having jerk meat the coleslaw would not be spicy but a bit sweet to balance the flavors(but as i said there is no flavor) Do not waste your money there is nothing Jamaican in their cooking.

Love the concept of fast Jamaican food. This place was clean, contemporary, and has a cool automated vending machine! My meal was completed quickly, and the staff was very friendly! The issue I have here is that the majority of the food is spicy. I know I probably should've known better - going to a place called "Jerk", but I thought they would have some items of the spicy nature and some not. I powered through the spicy, hot meal and left with my lips burning. Even the coleslaw had heat! They are true to their name, but that'll limit their clientele. However if you love spicy jerked meats and coleslaw, this is definitly the best and tastiest spot for you! They also are on the pricier side. I would recommend to others, and its not really fair, but my tastebuds will allow only 3 stars.

If i could give them a negative 5 stars I would. Place is supposed to close at midnight. Went last night to get some food around 10:45 and was told I could only order kitchen ready items like the sliders n fries because they close the kitchen at 10. Then we ordered from the kitchen ready menu. guy takes our orders then 15 minutes later tells us that they actually have no food so we couldn't get anything.

It was 11 o'clock, you close at 12 but have thrown away everything and closed the kitchen so early that you're losing customers. Never again.

We tried Jerk 312 during one of our food truck adventures at UChi. Winner winner jerk chicken errr lunch. Tremendous spiciness. Super juicy and tender. I'm usually more of a wing kinda guy, because most jerk joints tend to overcook the rest of the bird. Jerk 312 gets it just right. They get a ton of hype on social media. Rightfully so. They deliver above and beyond expectations. Whenever I see the big black truck I know it's going to be an awesome day!

"All we have is wings and fries"

Twice I've been here and they've run out. Please manage your inventory!

Edit: run out of sides (first time I waited 20 minutes for mac and cheese to be made and second time said they were out and I didn't want to wait again.) Food is good otherwise.

The brisket, pork shoulder and wings are delicious and tender. They offer three sauces and all of then were tasty. The atmosphere is relaxed and there is a bar for those who want to enjoy a drink or two. No complaints and great food. I will be back.

Absolutely excellent. Food: I ordered the chicken quarters ($10.45) and this included a quarter of a chicken, a slice of bread (white) Jamaican coleslaw, a sweet bread roll thing and a side. For the side I got the Mac and cheese (mouth watering). A few words about all of this. The chicken was DELICIOUS. Spicy, perfectly tender, not dry, and aromatic. If you would like to pair the chicken with a sauce, throughout the restaurant there are caddys loaded with delicious choices. I personally liked the green looking one. The slaw, sweet bread and Mac where all delicious and each had a unique flavor. Jamaican food is bomb. Atmosphere: med-loud Jamaican style music, friendly staff (great service), clean, restrooms available. Highly recommend. Price: it's the city. Entrees start at $9.95. It's not horrible, but even if you think it is, it's worth it.

Want a pound of super delicious chicken for less than $11? Jerk is awesome. I disagree with reviewers saying the portions are too small and I eat a lot; after spending $11-$12, I'm always satisfied with my food and I don't feel hungry afterwards, if at all. Compared to other Chicago restaurants their prices are more than reasonable, they're great. I only ever order the chicken thighs and yuca fries though, but that's because they're amazing. The owner and staff are always super-friendly too. my favorite place to get lunch.

Good wings

Good wings

I come in here maybe once per week, the staff is always friendly and the food is very good. Pro tip mix the spicy sauce with the cilantro lime.

This isn't authentic jerk chicken. I dont know why they calk this jerk. No options for breast meat. I've eaten a lot of jerk chicken from the north and south sides of Chicago and this is the worst! Uncle Joe's on the south side is 20 times better.

Very flavorful! I have family in Jamaica, been there multiple times (ate at Scotchies just in May), and grew up in Miami. So trust me, I know Caribbean.

The food IS spicy, but i don't think it would taste good bland, so don't try it if you can't handle some spice. But just know that spices are what add the robust flavors.

The veggie patty was delicious. Not as flaky as I expected, but a good size and serves as a hearty snack. You guys should give some coco bread, that would've hit the spot!!

I also ordered the chicken platter, and everything is tasty as expected. But have to give 4 stars instead of 5 because I ordered delivery and the cole slaw was not included. Not a big deal, but was looking forward to trying as much as I could.

One of the better authentic jerk chicken places around. Great food that's affordable, especially for the large portions you're given. The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful for first timers. Loved it!

so what i think of this place is that when i came into the place is that i would just eat some normal food. but turned out to be extremely wrong. when i came out they redefined spicy for me. i did not know that there was so much work and effort into making freshly made chicken.how the spices were blended into the chicken like that left me in awe. it was almost like the flavors were made by magic! and if so then i'm cursed.cursed because as much a i like marianos i had a there hot meal there for lunch and i choose the spicy wings. then when i bit in to there wing, all i could taste the dry sloe-less chicken with only a zap of heat.
but overall, this place is the king of chicken in all of Chicago land. may i say the world? i think so!

I was hooked on this place the first time I ate here. It is very reasonably priced, especially for the area and is my go-to lunch spot. The chicken thighs is deliciously cooked and very moist (and my personal favorite item), the sauces are delicious, and everybody is very friendly.

This is the worst jerk I have ever had. Whoever eats here is led a stray it s small portions and not only there s small portions but it s not a dinner combo. I ll stick to what I know and eat at Caribbean Jerk Palace which is way better and worth every dollar!!!

Great lunch spot. While a little pricey, the food is fantastic, I have not been disappointed by any of their menu. Would highly recommend an order of wings, the dry rub is the stuff of dreams.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally got it delivered last night and it did not disappoint. The pork was delicious. The smoked chicken was good too but I preferred the pork as did not have to deal with the bones. All the sides were really good. The candied yams were a standout.
