JDH Contracting does not stand behind their work.

JDH Contracting does not stand behind their work.

We recently bought a Drees home that had the outside sewer line installed by JDH Contracting three years ago. Two weeks after moving in, we had a sewer backup and were told by two licensed plumbers that the exterior sewer line had sagged due to inadequate back fill during installation. This has led to a "belly" in the line and water remaining in the sewer pipe.

I contacted JDH and let them know of this problem and have been getting blown off ever since. I have left repeated voice mails for Larry, their "sewer guy," and have emailed his boss, Rob, and the owner of the company. No response from anyone.

I understand the sewer line is three years old, but two different local plumbing companies (Earl Gray and Peterman) have run a camera into it and said it was not installed properly, so I would hope that JDH would be willing to work with me to do something to make it right.

Additionally, my next door neighbor also had the sewer pipe on his house installed by JDH, and his pipe sagged and burst within six months of installation for the same reason.

I would be very careful when considering JDH as a contractor. They clearly don't have an interest in taking care of their customers after the sale.
