We had a brunch at Jane's during our stay in NYC and I must say I was conquered. Despite the wait (it's a sign), the room filled and noisy, I found the classic American Brunch cuisine that I was looking for. Excellent.

A little pricey, but the brunch was pretty spectacular. I had the steak salad. It was prepared to my specification. The steak was very tasty. They have a brunch happy hour deal, so you get decent price mimosas

Great cocktails and decent brunch. It's super crowded on the weekends so we got stuck in the downstairs dining area, which was kind of cave-like. But given the crowd upstairs it would have been more cramped and noisier, harder for my friends and I to talk. I'd like to go back when it's less busy. Definitely make reservations if you're going for brunch.

Not incredible quality for the prices they charge. All food was under seasoned and some of it on the overcooked side. It seems it is better for brunch, but unfortunately, I won't be headed back anytime soon.

Visited a while ago, a wait is pretty standard. Once seated, the staff and workers are nice and friendly. The restaurant's atmosphere was really eye catching, and the set up of the bar was nice. Their food was good. May be a bit pricey but it's worth trying.

Was here a month ago and had a so-so experience, which the manager addressed immediately. Our return was excellent: really good food, great service, nice wine list, and the room is peaceful and pretty. Recommend!

Not the most prominent name in the area but definitely worth a try. Continental and they serve alcohol, eggs, French toast and much of foods like that. Definitely a great place for a well seated afternoon.

Excellent brunch place. It gets busy on weekends so make a reservation. Entrees are not too heavy and the selection is great. Get a bellini to complement your brunch! Wild Mushroom omelette and French toast are amazing. Get the bread basket too.

Good value brunch- entree comes with a cocktail or juice (not fresh squeezed). Packed on this slushy rainy winter Sunday. Noise level loud, relatively young crowd. Accommodating and friendly staff. Food is filling especially the restaurant recommended chicken grave and biscuit with fried eggs. Tasty bread basket. Offer good high end ketchup brand to go with your potato sides. Not a bad choice if you are in the neighborhood but not worth going out of way to eat here.

Excellent casual brunch/lunch spot, which tends to get crowded on the weekends after 11am. I've been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food is always delicious. My GF and I prefer to sit at the bar, as the service is usually a bit better/quicker. Even when there is a line out front, there are usually 1-2 seats open at the bar. All of the Benedict are great, but they are on the bit pricey side. The French toast is also amazing! Highly recommend you check this spot out, but come early on the weekends.

Wow. This place is a new favorite in Manhattan! The food is amazing - I had the octopus with a side of rosemary fries and it was just delicious. My friends enjoyed their burgers which were great value. The decor is gorgeous and very clean. Shared a post to my Instagram story and received a lovely message from staff - so nice to receive that acknowledgement; your social media is obvi in good hands! Can't wait to come back.

We made reservations for 7 people and were seated quickly. The service was a bit on the slow side but the appetizers were pretty good. Fried calamari was light and crisp. The charred octopus had great flavor and the right amount of char. The oysters were good too. We also ordered NY Strip steaks, seafood cobb salad, and lobster roll. Those ended up being ok. One of the steaks came out well done even though we'd ordered medium. The cobb salad, one didn't get any dressing. But food was good overall. The cocktails were delicious. Ordered their version of the moscow mule, which had cucumber in it. Pretty refreshing. I see a lot of reviews praising their brunch menu, so may need to come back for brunch.

Aside from the popularity, this place is great for anyone, especially to catch some brunch. He meals are quite filling, and you should order quick due to said popularity. There's a nice basement with restrooms that could fit a decent sized party. Had a great time!

Overpriced for the portions that you get. This place used yo be very good but got too popular and just lowered quality.
French toasts were below average, poached eggs over crab cakes were a joke, tiny and ok taste.
Ambience is really pleasent and servicio is always good.

I finally made it here after hearing so much rave about this place when a friend from college came to visit. I had made reservations ahead of time to avoid the wait. But after we arrived on time, we still had to wait about 15 minutes. It was cramped inside and it was a cold winter day so, we weren't given much choice but had to be squished inside and constantly bumping elbows with other guests. There is literally no waiting area and the dining area has tables that are close enough to hear the neighboring party's conversation.

After being seated, I ordered the chicken and waffles and my friend ordered the burger. The chicken and waffles was a brunch special so it came with an alcoholic beverage. I chose the belini, which was not bad for a complimentary drink. The chicken and waffles were pretty good, but the breading on the chicken easily broke off and was like a separate entity from the chicken. It was white meat chicken which made it easier to eat and wasn't dry so that was a plus. But overall, it was just okay. The bill came to $34 for two, which isn't bad for the food and atmosphere.

So the French Toast is supposed to be amazing. Made the mistake of ordering the lobster Benny, what can I say $25 dish with eggs that where solid not poached and 3 microscopic pieces of lobster. You'll have a better dish and 10 times the lobster if order a lobster roll from any one of the million nyc food trucks. (waitress was amazing, food horribly made and could barely be called anything but a biscuit)

While the food is consistently good, we had a friend's 40th birthday party here on a Friday night and the service was flat-out AWFUL. We all frequent this establishment and the service has downward-spiraled. A guest literally waited 45 minutes for a drink after ordering from the waitress, and my own drink order was incorrect--twice. The food all came out at varying times, taking about 15 minutes to get everyone's dinner on the table. The manager never once came to check in on us, even though we were a large table of ten people, and not even a slice of cake for the birthday boy was provided on the house. For a restaurant of this caliber and charging these prices, I expect much, much more--all around.

First brunch in the city (albeit eaten at 3pm), and, I can honestly say it was among one of my favorite meals in the city. With all (?) Sunday brunch entrees coming with a complimentary beverage, we ordered the:

* Short Rib Benedict - While my friend really liked these, I found that they were just okay, lacking a bit in flavor complexity: something like a bright citrus highlight would have paired really well here.

* Vanilla Bean French Toast - Now, this, was probably the best french toast I've ever encountered. With thick cut toast that's only pan fried and browned on the sides, leaving the insides moist and gooey

* Side of Bacon - Not particularly fancy bacon, but fried to just the right level of crispness, and great when eaten with the french toast.

And the two drinks we got (apple champagne cocktail and white peach bellini) were both tasty as well.

***Accessibility Info***

Venue - Jane itself is up a single step, but they have a folding metal ramp that they keep inside for such purposes, so just have a friend ask (or call in, barring that)! As for the interior, while the tabling arrangements are fairly close, there are plenty of tables where the seats aren't situated back to back, making seating accessibility not terrible.

Bathroom - Located down on the lower level, so they weren't accessible at all.

It's famous, a sister restaurant of the Smith, and at a good location around SoHo. We went to dinner, which it was pretty good, nothing amazing or memorable.

This place is first and foremost a brunch spot, so I hope to go back for brunch. One tip: make sure to make a reservation or you will be waiting.

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, I made my way to the city for brunch. Looking at my list of must try's, Jane Restaurant popped up. So off we go.

It was 3:30ish so heavy brunch crowd had already left which made the meal all that more pleasant. We were greeted right away and were seated at a quiet corner table with a waiter quickly rushing over with menus and water.

As I'm browsing the menu, I looked around the restaurant. Super trendy and modern decor, very pleasant to the eyes.

We ordered some mimosas and coffee to start with and they readily refilled our coffees on demand. My friend ordered the Jane Burger and I the Nicoise salad. She said the burger was wonderful -- well she licked the plate dry.
My nicoise salad was good but I felt the tuna, although seared perfectly, was a little dry. The rest of the salad was tasty. I've definitely had better nicoise salads.

We then ordered a tiramisu and a fig panna cotta. The tiramisu was wow! Phenomenal. Soaked strongly in espresso, the taste definitely hit you where it counts, but in a good way. The panna cotta was a different. Interesting taste and pudding like texture, I don't think I'd order it again.

Overall, we definitely had a rather pleasant experience and I'd love to come back and try the dinner service.

We made a reservation at 10am for 1pm, and it was a great decision. The line outside was pretty long when we arrived.

We came on Sunday, so there was a brunch cocktail complementary with a brunch entree. In my mind, that makes this place a really financially responsible brunch place. :) Two entrees, two cocktails, and we got out for under $50 after tip and tax.

I got the Eggs Johhny, which was good although the grits could have been more seasoned (maybe they're not supposed to be because they're grits?). My friend got the biscuits and gravy with her eggs subbed out; she asked for scrambled on the side and they sent her poached, but they switched it out immediately and had her scrambled there within two minutes.

Service was attentive and well paced, and our waiter had a great energy. I would definitely come back here (on a Sunday, with a reservation).

Finally stopped by after hearing a out this place for forever. Overhyped. The food was good but everything felt rushed. The place was packed, but it was the weekend. The biscuits and jam were delicious. As was the avocado toast. Didn't enjoy the eggs Benedict as much but still good.

First visit, came highly recommended. Placed an order to go for the biscuit and mushroom gravy with fried eggs, and fried chicken and pancakes. But ended up staying for brunch. The food here was delicious! The service was also quite good. My friend sent her poached eggs back because they were over cooked and they quickly obliged. Very nice atmosphere to brunch and relax.
Happy Yelping.

Visited this place for a Sunday brunch with some colleagues. The food was good, really fresh but I was totally disappointed with the service. I had to ask 5 times just for a cup of coffee. I felt they were under-staffed that day, hoping for a better service the next time I visit!

Overall a great experience, only complaint is that the food took a *very* long time to come out. The staff are all extremely professional and courteous, and food was also done well. The portion sizes are excellent, and they give you extremely generous portions of fries.

I was really disappointed with their Brunch. I haven't been to Jane before, but the inside seemed a bit crowded, with tables crowded next to each other. My sister and I decided to sit at the bar since the wait was 30 minutes for a table around 1 pm on Memorial Day.

My sister ordered an ice coffee, which we couldn't find on their menu (probably because they use a Nespresso/coffee machine, which the bartender told us). I assume they at least have typical breakfast beverages if you ask?

We ordered two sides, chicken sausage and rosemary fries, which were served before our main dishes. The chicken sausage was flavorless, didn't seem to be seasoned at all. The rosemary fries were lukewarm and tasted like regular fries. I think they just used the rosemary as garnish.

For our mains, my sister order the Salmon Benedict. She told me that her food wasn't hot, and when I took a bite, I could tell that it was either sitting out for a while or it had been made before my dish. I ordered the Farmers Popover, which did come out fresh from the kitchen. However, the outer bread tasted burnt and the inside did not have any seasoning. Very disappointing, even with added salt and pepper.

I definitely would not waste my time to travel to this restaurant or waste my time for flavorless, lukewarm/cold food. We were starving after our gym class, and the food still didn't taste good to us. My sister said this was one of the most disappointing meals she's had. Recommend Jane's brunch to people you hate!

I had Classic the Eggs Benedict for brunch. The eggs were poached to perfection, the biscuits flaky on the outside & fluffy on the inside, the bacon very tasty and lean (a nice change from the usually fatty cut), and the hollandaise a great binding.

Plus, the potatoes, though a little oily, we're really good. And the salad a great touch to have some veggies.

I also had the Bloody Marry which was suite satisfying.

It's a great place for brunch and probably also for lunch/dinner.

The food is pretty good , I am impressed by their berry jam and wild. mushroom omelette. Food serving is pretty quick too. Approx 10 min of wait after you order your food.
Sitting is pretty comfortable, service is pretty attentive.

However I don't recommend this restaurant if you didn't make a reservation.

I didn't make reservation and I waited for 1 hr and 30 mins. I ordered wild mushroom omelette( first pic), salmon Benedict ( 2nd pic ), butter and berry jam, and cup of coffee.

TIPS:
1) always make reservation before you come in.

2) while waiting you can take a walk in 6ave and Bleecker street. It have a lot of nice store around that area.

This has become one of my favorite restaurants in NYC, and I'm so happy they are on Seated so that I can keep coming back and getting rewards! Always check their daily specials, my personal favorite is the chicken pot pie- perfect for those cold nights! The mussels are a must, the Jane burger and the rosemary fries... SO GOOD.

The inside bread melts and is really soft. I have a steak menu than French toast, and that was better! Especially the sauce!!! It looks like it contains herbs, but it was a taste that I didn't taste in Korea. I wanted to get some sauce... Reservations are required! If you don't make a reservation, you have to wait for an hour.

Been here a few times and everytime its just as great! It s a beautiful open space to have a nice brunch or lunch! I came here during the week on both occasions and the service, food and overall experience was amazing. Our server yesterday for my friends birthday was knowledgeable and super friendly. They have a nice special for cocktails during the day as well for only about $7! Can t beat that in the city. Everyone should check this out for an enjoyable brunch/lunch spot while they re in nyc! :)

A popular brunch spot in Greenwich Village, Jane is one of the most quintessential NYC experiences. Make sure to make a reservation in advance of your meal, especially on Sundays when all entrees come with a complimentary boozy beverage. The plates are all delicious and reasonably priced; I'm a fan of the Benedict Johnny and the French Toast is one of the best in the city. Service is capable of handling the crowds, so you're in good hands here.

Jane is a great spot for modern American fare. They have a fun twist on modern dishes. As the original Smith, their menus have nearly merged which is both good and bad; good because the options are great but bad because it may as well be called The Smith. The service is great but the food is pricey (i.e. $9 side of fries). Brunch is popular but if going there for lunch or dinner, you can t go wrong with the burger. I had the salmon which was really quite excellent and the kale salad with goat cheese was great too. Highly recommend it.
