Worked at Jana/ASM awhile back and agree with others they offer a family business environment but for me it was an unprofessional company.
I m sure many years ago, when the founders ran the business it was a better place to work but since the son took over a few years back the company went downhill.
The main problem rested squarely on the executive and sales teams. The core issue being the president of the company admires his sales staff so much he believes all they tell him and lets them sell jobs at rock bottom prices and set completely unrealistic deadlines. Then they just sit back and get mad at the rest of the company for not making schedule, meeting budget, keeping customers happy.

In addition to the executive/sales issue other problems encountered were:
Meager 401K contributions.
Lots of nepotism in hiring.
A slow and inadequate computer network plagued with problems that goes down frequently.
Health benefits reduced year after year. Plan now requires employees to pay full deductible before benefits kick in.
Knee jerk layoffs of many employees when the pandemic hit followed by immediate hiring. It seemed like they used the pandemic as a reason to layoff higher paid employees and scoop up others for less pay.
Executive staff being out of office on personal trips many days throughout the year.
Unprofessional HR representative who routinely forgets to conduct employee reviews.

My rating of two stars is what it is.
I made money when I was there and enjoyed some of the flexibility but long term the business model is unstainable and definitely not a place anybody should seek a career unless you re part of the executive/sales teams.
