Beautiful place with amazing acustics for concerts.
Great intimate venue. Solid accoustics. Friendly staff.
Not a bad concert venue. It's small and the sound is pretty good but you'll likely be standing.
Food is delicious, drinks are good, and music is amazing!
Food isn't that amazing but the venue itself is actually pretty cute
Nondescript from the outside, tucked away in the corner of a suburban strip mall, this unique venue will make you feel good again about the concert experience. Independently run and showcasing a lot of independent acts, serving drinks and light food fare that won't break the bank while you're tapping your feet. No crazy bouncers and security everywhere in your face!
quaint little music venue with some good food and interesting set up. sound was great
Great venue, great sound! The food was good too! The beer selection, although minimal, was also good! Will definitely be going back!
Love this place. Great music venue with fantastic staff. Check it out when you get a chance
One of my favorite venues of all time. I don't eat here (there is a great Thai place in the same strip mall) but the service and drinks are good. Decent ticket prices and they handle events well.
Nice venue. Have seen a lot of shows here. Nice selection of beer with a hand full of local beers avalaible that rotate. Bar staff is very friendly.
We went for a birthday party. We did not have any of the venues food or drinks but the bathrooms were fine.
Went for a comedy show. Great space and good service.
Great music venue. Awesome sound, great bands, the right vibe to see a great show.
Great local venue to watch a small concert. No frills but have a small drink and food menu. Some seating available but also room to stand, not a bad seat in the house!
What a phenomenal venue! Large enough to feel the energy of the crowd and small enough to feel intimate and special. Looks and sounds like venues ten times its size (and price). If you haven't been, give it a visit. You'll be happy you did!
In reality this place does not even deserve a half star. Horrible customer service. Then they don't know people ages. I asked the bounce man don't you know your age. He said we Idea everyone. I said I passed that age more than 2 decades ago. Then I get ginger Ale and refill 3 times. then my friend had an emergency so I had to leave early and that stupid bouncer comes after me no alcohol outside I said man this is ginger ale and at least 2 of the times that I got refill you were there and saw me getting refill. Don' t you know your drinks. Then Manager comes and he is even more stupid. I call the police on them because I did not want them to be aggressive. I told the officer do I look below 21. I am at least double that age. I don' t drink and I can't even drink. I came for the music. They said they don't want you on their property. I said I am not planning to stay and in fact I tell my friends not to come and the ones that perform not to perform here. These people are bad businessmen and don't care for their customers.
Great atmosphere for live music and now comedy too!! Hilarious. Check us out!
Intimate setting with good food, drinks and service. Great views of stage and good acoustics.
Fantastic music venue! Great music, good prices and plenty of parking!
Cool smaller venue in the DMV area. They get a nice range of local acts as well as some more well-known names in the indie scene. It's one of the most intimate venues in the area and what I can really appreciate is how cheap the drink prices are here compared to other venues I've been to! However, what holds this place back from being great is that 2 of the 3 times I've been here the sound mixing has been terrible to the point you couldn't even hear the vocals! If they could get better sound mixers than this place would easily be a 4!
Good atmosphere and area! But draft pours are way overpriced for an 8 ounce pour and not much ventilation
Interesting, long established cafe, with live music performances on some evenings.
Great venue and reminds me like a hybrid of u st music hall and black cat.
Awesome time seeing Ponytails and Cocktails along with Dugi B's Yacht Rock Experience. Awesome bartender working the front. Will definitely be back and can't recomend it enough.
Always amazing local and traveling musicians. Good food and prompt waitstaff. Book the VIP tables early, even during the week, they can sell out fast and they are well worth the price.
Nice place for bands and entertainers that are, up and coming. Drink menu. Limited food menu. Be prepared to stand unless you purchase premium tickets. With premium tickets you have a dedicated server, and good view of the stage.
Monday Mistress should've won the battle of the bands.
Nice small music venue very friendly staff will definitely come back to see my favorite singer there again its worth the 8 hour drive
A plain music venue with tables and food and drink service that offers up a good blend of local and national talent. You'll never be far from the artists on stage in this small setting.
Great small, intimate venue that also offers a high quality food menu and great service. One of the best small venues around.
Went there for the jams, passed up the java for booze instead. The dim lighting, music, and decor was reminiscent of my high school days setting up for coffeehouse where local bands would play, we'd decorate with holiday lights, set up board games, and sell snacks - good times. Jammin Java is a small venue so we got a good view of the bands. We went to see Various Cruelties - decent band and cool accents too. Afterward, we had the opportunity to meet the members and garner autographs. It was pretty neat experience and at the low cost of $10 or $13 a ticket, will definitely visit the place again.
Good music, nice atmosphere. All that was missing was a bigger crowd!
Good small music venue with surprisingly tasty eats.
Great intimate venue with reasonable prices. I feel lucky to have it 20 minutes from my house.
Alway enjoy the show. Never know what to expect. Intimate venue : reasonable ticket prices. Bar and limited menu
Great venue for music shows. We enjoyed our first show here and will be back for more soon.
Amateur day today. Bands were pretty good. Enjoyed the music
Wonderful venue with great sound, full bar, and a good menu with lots of options.
Went to the live presentation of NoSleep podcast! What great service and a great venue! Well worth the trip from Annapolis.
I was impressed with the the decor. When you look from the outside it looks dead but when you go inside you are facing a cool looking bar/ordering station.
Went to see my neices boyfriend's band in a battle of the bands. What a cool venue in the middle of Vienna!
Good venue and friendly staff. The wait can be there if they're busy. Pizza was OK, not the best but it's fine if you're there for the music.
Great atmosphere and people! Came here for a comedy night and couldn't be more pleased with the service! Didn't get to try the food but smelled amazing and looked even better ;)
Seems like a great venue for a show!
Love the service and the acai bowls at this place though it does tend to get quite crowded at times. I suppose any good place suffers from other people also wanting to be there lol!
One of the best kept music venue secrets in the DC area.
Great Venue!!! The sound is amazing and it really compliments the music that is brought.
Great intimate music venue. Sometimes hard to get to the bar. Their food menu has expanded, but the pizzas sometimes make the room a tad smoky.
Come meet Coach Cotton, Willie-Bob, and Boogie-woogie Benny! Get your Rocknoceros on!
Small place with an intimate feel. Been there for a number of shows and the staff has always been nice. Good drink selection too.
First timers here and we absolutely loved it! We had a fantastic dinner and front row seats to see Emi Sunshine. She was fabulous as expected and the sound was AMAZING! Awesome spot to see your favorite musicians. We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to all of our friends. Great job Jammin Java!
Versatile venue which usually has standing room, but for the comedy nights, it transforms into a cool club/dinner theater. For a town without many venues, this is a solid night hang.
Jammin Java is amazing. I have come here countless times and have always had so much fun. I live 2 hours from this place, but it is so worth the trip. They have shows for everyone, always keep their website updated on events, and have great food paired with a great atmosphere. This place is perfect for people who want to have a concert experience without crappy parking and a big crowd. The prices are amazing for such a mellow and close up experience. I highly highly recommend.
Great local music and enough space to jam out. Awesome staff and location. I've played here myself and its a great place to showcase your talent.
Great venue. Saw Deep Creek play here and it was fantastic.
Small venue, concert was great, never had a waitress come by and take an order so I cannot comment on the food or drink. The service was terrible. Need a deep cleaning and repairs.
The bouncers are dicks. Kicked us out for cheering.
I'm biased because I live near here but the music and ambiance is always fun. Great pizza and beer selection, plenty of parking and friendly informed staff make the visits always worth. All of that helps overcome the somewhat wonky club layout, especially for seated shows.
Good drinks, good music. Its a different then Starbucks I'll tell that much. They have a stage in the back where my friends performed once.
My favorite music venue. Not sure the front row seat for Susanna Hoffs will ever be bested
A NoVa gem. They book great musicians and support great independent music.
Cool spot to see a band or two. Drinks and pizza not bad.
I work with musicians for my job and have been to many of the DC local venues. Jammin' Java is a fine venue, but it is soooooooooo far from DC (35 minute drive from Capitol Hill). Once you finally arrive, it is kind of a cool venue. You can order drinks and food and take them anywhere in the venue which is a good perk. They usually have a good balance of smaller name musicians and bigger names.
Surprisingly talented original band performance. Older/mature crowd.
This place needs to be updated. Used to be an incredible experience back in the early to mid 2000s. Unfortunately these days it feels more average, if I were to rate my experience. Where did the same care go that used to be there years ago? :( such a shame
