The best flour chips you can find! All the food is awesome but the Pollo Fajita Wrap is to die for!!!!

This is one of our favorite spots for good Mexican food. While it may not be the best it is certainly good. We have tried a number of dishes ranging from fajitas to salads. Their chips and salsa are amazing. The margaritas are the reason we keep coming back.

Just ok. For a place with jalapeno in the name you would think they would have hot salsa, so that was disappointing

Just okay food. I had an enchilada and carne asada taco with beans and rice. The enchilada was pretty good. The sauce had nice flavor. The carne was chewy and dry, though and the beans and rice didn't have much flavor. The chips and salsa were decent. Nothing to write home about.

Solid food, terrible service. You can play a couple games of monopoly between placing your order till when the food arrives and finish a phone call with your lonely grandmother before you ever receive the bill. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend this restaurant, especially on weekends. Poorly managed kitchen and poorly managed servers, make one comment on your dissatisfaction of the service and they pretty much just ditch you for the remainder of the meal. This place REALLY needs to get it together!

The hatch green chile pork (wraped in butter lettuce) and the Chicken fajita salad are amazing!!! Highly recommend!

Happy hour everywhere is chaotic and full of buzzing customers and always full tables. Arriving as the promo was winding down showed the rush and the hype. It took a while for management to realize we had arrived. Business will be business, but not returning for happy hour.

Our waiter Scott made sure we had a wonderful 1st visit. Food and drinks were amazing. The sweetheart margarita was delicious, along with the flour/corn chips and salsa. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy more food and drinks.

The owner closed Rythm and Wine. Now we have gift certificates and the Jalapeno inferno wont accept them. Really?? Same owner!!!! Are you kidding me?? Not getting anymore of my money. Shame!!!

Great chips! They have both corn & flour chips. I love anything they make with their hatch green chilis.

Excellent southwestern fare at this longtime Scottsdale fixture. The margaritas were handmade avoiding the typical sweet and sour mix. I had a combo with the Nuevo Mexico enchilada, which had a few fiery moments, and a Chile Relleno which featured a very tasty sauce. Staff is very relaxed and friendly. A cut above the usual 'family' style Mexican restaurant.

I ve been coming here for over 10 years. Their food is still delicious, but the service has gone down the toilet. It makes me so sad that we can t frequent this place anymore.

Specifically, we have had two HORRIBLE nights with Samantha as our server. If you wish to read my first review, you can go to yelp. Tonight, we got her as a server again. She quickly ran over and handed us waters and said I ll be back-never took our drink order. Fast forward 15 min, and she came back and asked us for our FULL order. In the meantime, someone else had brought us over chips. We ordered margaritas and our meals. We also asked for more chips.

Samantha never brought us our chips and we ended up having to ask a manager for them. Another server also brought us our margs and when Samantha came over to check on our drinks, we told her that someone else was grabbing us chips. She got super confrontational and said she would grab them and she just got held up. I told her not to worry about it because someone else was already getting them. She went and grabbed a basket of chips and both her and someone else delivered the chips at the same time. These tables are tiny and we did NOT need to waste an entire basket of chips just for her to prove a point.

Fast forward 20 min, and someone else came over and said are you waiting on your food ? And we said yes. And he said I ll go check on it. He ended up bringing our food out.

If you re keeping track, the only thing Samantha brought out for us was the basket of chips that we told her not to get. I always end up leaving this place angry and we don t leave without spending at LEAST 60 dollars. Avoid it!

Unique flavors, high quality food prep and staff. A new favorite.

Jalapenos is one of our neighborhood favorites. The food and the service has always been good (with the exception of one bartender/waitress); they also offer a good happy hour. However, last time we ordered takeout and it was miss. The chips were very stale and our food was cold and they did not get the order complete.

It was amazing food!! We didn't have reservations and I highly recommend making sure you call before going. Steak fajitas are so tender perfect seasoning just delicious. My husband had relleno and said the sauce was amazing and juat the right amount of spice. They corn temale was out of this world. We are very picky and never can find good mexican food but this place was amazing! If you haven't been you must try

don't go here and expect good mexican food. way over priced and not good to eat. not sure why this place is in business. The food is waaayyy better at Senor Taco for 1/2 the price.

I don t know what they re doing to those shrimp, but OhNelly, oh I ate too much. Oh so good. Could not stop. Didn t even pause to get to the mini fundito and I *thought* those were my favorite.

Bruhhh I was filled with excitement as I devoured my food ! This place was fresh, Fast and the staff are awesome !

Went for lunch and had a very bad experience. We fell through the cracks after being seated and had to find someone to help us. My margarita tasted like a glass of very cheap tequila, and others were warm and unshaken. $12 guacamole was small in portion, old / brown, mostly raw onion, and without flavor. Other food ranged from bad to unspectacular, seeming old and reheated. Waitress was nice and helpful.

I had lunch with two friends. We loved the outdoor atmosphere. There are a lot of birds around but we enjoyed them. Both of my friends were very pleased with their dishes and want to go back. I had the shrimp tacos and I was disappointed as they were quite plain compared to so many others I've had elsewhere. Great service!

Great place for Sunday lunch with family. They offer indoor (with separate bar sitting) and patio seating. Food is Amazing too!

Really good Mexican food and drinks. I had the house margarita, queso dip and burrito. All of which was amazing. Also, our server was amazing! She got our food, drinks, and our receipt quickly.

Indoor, Outdoor, & TakeAway Dining Options. Outdoor dining offers shade or sun with umbrellas. Inexpensive pricing with quality dishes you can rely upon, in N.Scottsdale. A favorite of ours which we frequent. Their Salsa and Chips is our go-to dish which is best around.

Wow!! What an amazing place. I came all the way from Tennessee to eat here!!! Huge portions, unique bold flavors, excellent service, All in a perfect atmosphere!! I used to come here 3 days a week for lunch until I had to move away. Now, I make trips to come eat here. The fagitas are amazing. And let s not forget about the crispy, fluffy flour totillia chips!! Fresh made salsa with a hint of cilantro. The whole thing just come together into an amazing experience. If you are ever in Arizona in the Scottsdale area, you MUST come here. It s absilutely worth the trip!!

Great food one of my favorite Mexican food places.

I chose this place because I love the Naked Poblano Chile! Didn't disappoint, and neither did the outdoor patio on a beautiful evening.

The food was nothing special. Coming from a Mexican heritage and remembering my Grandmother's cooking, I am always leery about going out for Mexican anywhere here in Phoenix/Scottsdale, but the menu looked good and the ratings were decent. I had tomatillo chicken enchiladas with black beans that tasted a little bit sour (spoiling) and dry rice which tells me it wasn't fresh and lacking in flavor. My daughter had the tequila lime shrimp tacos which tasted ok, but salty. Both dishes had the typical beans with cheese and rice. It drives me crazy that American Mexican restaurant owners think that's what Mexican food is all about; beans, fattening cheese and rice and whatever the main is whether it be tamales or enchiladas, etc is smothered is sauce. The best dish was the honey flan which was nice and smooth. We each had 1 alcoholic drink which I liked, but the actual bill was $ 65 without tax, Definitely not worth it. Service was also inattentive and slow. No one ever offered to refill our water glasses or brought more chips to finish up the guacamole until we asked again as were boxing it up. I know next time, that I'll just have to drive to Tucson for real Mexican food.

Bar none the best Mexican food restaurant in Scottsdale

Nice quiet place in an upscale area. We were promptly seated when we entered and were waited on exceptionally. It was almost to the point that it was too much (not really complaining as this is good). Everything seems to be priced between $10 and $25 per plate. The appetizers were very expensive so we skipped them and went straight to the main courses. The food was above average but I have definitely tasted better Mexican food in my humble opinion.
If I lived in this area I would probably find myself visiting this place from time to time but not too frequently.

Cool, relaxing atmosphere along with spectacular food!!

Terrible service, even worse food. Waited almost an hour for a to go order and they didn't even bother to bring me my food, even though I had checked in multiple times and had been waiting outside. After I actually got my order, a waitress came outside to tell me it was going to be longer for my food. The food that was in my hand, lol? I had a strong feeling my meal was going to suck just looking at the complete disorganization of the restaraunt. Sure enough...the food was so cold when I got it home and after reheating it, it tasted awful. Save yourself money and go somewhere that actually cares about your business.

The service was excellent, we had an awesome server who was hilarious and made our night so much fun! The chips and salsa were delicious and the food was too. But I would say the waiter was what tipped the scales for us, he was a riot and was very attentive to our table.

What tasteless Mexican food! We tried the steak and chicken fajitas. We also ordered the taco salad. Nothing tasted fresh and authentic. We will not return back.

Consistently delicious food and drink. They've gone the extra mile in regards to social distancing practices. Those flour tortilla chips are dangerously delectable. I wish I never tried them.

Came here on a whim and was not disappointed. I had my fair shar of Mexican food, this is one of the best chimichangas I have ever had. Try "The Chimichanga That Ate Nogales" with the queso on top. I almost fell over. It was very, very, very good. Warning. When the menu says hot, they mean it. Enjoy.

Yesterday we ordered some food from this place. One of our regular spots when we decide to eat out. Upon reviewing my pickup order I saw a LIVE cockroach inside the bag! I said WTF is that? The lady screamed looked at the other worker said it's a live cockroach! The look on their face was as if they knew they had them and shocked one made it out! They wanted to try and fix it, but I kindly walked out and will never return! How can you fix the food when you actively have cockroaches?!

Love this place. Always good food served promptly and for a reasonable price. Excellent variety on the menu and really enjoy both the baked and fried chips. Tasty salsa. Fun when the Hatch chilies are in season - always special menu items.

Flour tortilla chips are warm and yummy! The frozen black cherry sangria is refreshing on a hot Arizona day. Incredible happy hour specials!

So so food, so so service, so no return. (and way overpriced)
