Jackson's Family Restaurant Review

Broasted chicken is out of this world. Don't miss the Manhattan either.

We go to this restaurant every year during the covered bridge season. We have yet to have bad service or bad food from them. My daughter who is a picky eater loved the biscuits and gravy from my plate. There is plenty of room for them to host large parties. I would have to say that this is one of my favorite family owned restaurants that I have the pleasure of eating at. If it wasn't for the fact i live 1hr away from them i would eat there more often.

Breakfast buffet went up to $9.00. The buffet hadn't been attended to. Eggs, biscuits were had. Service was slow. Disappointed!!!

Jackson's restaurant is a good local place of Greencastle. Friendly staff and good food. Even when they are busy there times are still pretty good. It's on of my favorite places to eat.

The waitress was pleasant the biscuits and gravy were good.

It was great food and great portions. My steak was cooked perfectly medium rare when most places over cook medium rare. The service was good. The atmosphere is a little outdated. Maybe some music playing in the background and some fresh paint or new tables could give it a more homey feel to match the home cooked food.

I had the brosted tenderloin sandwich and supreme nachos. Both tasted very good. The tenderloin was thick and tender but a bit on the small side. Service was prompt and friendly. I will return if back in town.

Always enjoy going they are very friendly and remember us all times. Food is always good.

I ordered a steak and it was cold and tasteless. Not going to waste my time and money going there again.

Most afford, best food, could do with a fix up in bathroom.

For at least 50 yrs I have enjoyed fine meals at Jackson's but lately the menu has declined and the food quality has slipped. On the overall the waitresses are nice , friendly and prompt. It seems Jackson's is just rolling over and letting the restaurant die. The Double Decker is mostly empty and the Breakfast Company is overflowing. The Breakfast Company is not very tasty so I don't understand why long time Double customer have fled to it but it seems the Double is just not trying to regain their business.

Julie is the very best server here. Food is good, average menu. Great for Sunday brunch

Service was great! Our waitress came back four or five times to make sure we were okay, kept refilling our drinks every time they were low, and made sure we understood everything on the menu before we ordered. Prices are amazing for the amount of food you get. Food is not stellar but it's definitely not bad. Exactly what I would expect from a family-owned restaurant. Will probably be back in the near future.

Love this place. It's one of my favorites back home. Great food and wonderful people .

A Greencastle tradition!!! Have ordered and LOVED their Beef Manhattans since I was a little kid!!!

I would rather eat here for breakfast than Cracker Barrell...got breakfast for lunch and it was terrific

Great place to take the family for a meal. Awesome device and great food!!

I hate to give it 3 stars, as I grew up eating here, but it has really gone downhill. It's empty every time I've been in there. The food was barely mediocre, and the service was pretty bad. I think if they returned to the quality of food they had in the 70s and 80s, plus started offering curb service again, they might survive. Or maybe it's already too late. Which would be sad.

I always enjoy my Double Decker Basket, Turkey Manhattans, and cinnamon biscuits. I wish they would bring back curb service. Hells yeah! They serve beer now! And I really like that eye candy of a waitress in there with the long brown hair, sexy eyes, and those gorgeous dimples GREAT waitress!! MEOW!

Still my favorite place for Friday night trout & deep fried mushrooms, but sadly, dont care much for the weekend breakfast.

Waitresses who disappear after your initial drink order. The breakfast buffet had raw sausage, cold everything else, and no biscuits. Cashier was RUDE when we tried to bring it to her attention and explain why we never got a bill.

Food was cold. Obviously had been cooked hours before. Service was slow and never followed up on. Nothing good to say about this place.

Love their food and the waitresses are always very nice

The help are friendly and always remember your name and drinks. Down home feeling.

Glad they have a breakfast buffet. It wasn't great and it took them a bit refill but it wasn't terrible. All you can eat bacon deserves at least a 3 out of 5. Staff was friendly.

Jackson's closed for the last time yesterday. They will be missed.

The food is good depending on what you order, as for the service is bad. I had to ask for more coffee and shouldn't have to.

Steak was a little chewy but i did ask for medium rare and the service is great
