Don't be put off by the unwelcoming/unfriendly message telling you everything that they don't want and won't do at their discretion..and the fact that they don't pick up the phone. At the end of the day the food and service is great and that's why I'm giving it 5 stars. It is best to park behind the building on Flower Street as a front is packed.

I have to say I am so disappointed! Drove over 60 miles in traffic to get here as its my favorite breakfast spot! Also had my family from Florida meet us there since they were out visiting. Before going there, I went online and saw that they would be closed at the end of August. When we got there, the sign said they were closed at the end of July. What a bummer!

Not many places in this area open for breakfast, so Jacks gets slammed!

Great food. I usually have some version of an omelette, though the seasonal peach pancakes are my favorite.

Pro tip: unless you walk there, park behind the restaurant. The front lot is an exercise in frustration.

Pro tip: reconsider Sunday morning, big crowds from the church across the street

Came in here today(Friday), and the host says I can't order anything to go cause it's the weekend. You guys definitely lost a customer. Keep in mind, that I have been here before on a Friday and have ordered take out.

Had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Took a group of co-workers there. They all work in schools and have a very tough job as school social workers and wanted to treat them for breakfast.

The hostess wouldn't seat us until all of our party was there. I get that. I see that that is common practice in a lot of restaurants. That wasn't the issue. I asked if I could wait for my party having a cup of coffee at the counter and was told that I couldn't.

What?!

I told the hostess that she could ask me to move if a party came in and wanted that counter seat. The answer? "No, because then we have to clean the counter."

What?!

So we got seated when my party got there. I wasn't sure if another co-worker was going to be able to join us and she came in later. They refused to take her order saying that that meant that we would take up the table for more time.

What?!

I have never had this experience at any other restaurant. When I went to speak to the manager and asked if whose policy this was. He said that it was his and it was his place. He said that they try to keep things flowing which I understand. The place seems to be very popular. But if you are trying to keep your customer base happy and keep it as a community hub, you don't treat people like this.

I will never go back. I was approached one more time, BY A 2ND MANAGE (WTH??) to be told the policy and that they'd be taking my coworkers order "this one time"..... after it had already been made clear to me.

I was being infantilized was being spoken to with some real condescension. I understand businesses are hard to keep afloat these days, especially restaurants but this is no way to treat customers, especially first timers.

The food was good. I'm not sure what all the commotion is about. The only thing that I can think of is that there aren't many breakfast places around here or anything similar. That means that the community has to deal with whatever rude business owner decides to take that risk.

I, for one, believe that businesses should be a part of the community and should be a place where community members feel welcomed. That was not the case here.

Like the famous potatoes and the coffee is great. Just wished they my veggies were well sauteed for the omelette or add some salt on them for better taste. Good prices. Good service and love the coffee mugs !

This place is awesome! Great food at a great price. My French toast and my husband s omelette were so good! Our server was super busy and very good at keeping up with everyone s orders and refills. There s a parking lot (fills up quickly!) and street parking pretty close. The wait was as they estimated for us. On Saturday around 11:30, we waited about 30 min for a table for 2. Highly recommend!

Woohoo! Loved it. The pancakes were delicious and the order was made for two. The eggs, potatoes and everything else was served hot. The place is kind of small so you may have to wait for a table, but its personal. The staff is personable and make you feel welcome.

Now for the parking. The parking is so limited that it feels like there are 2 spots for the entire restaurant. And mind you, if you dont want to get towed, DO NOT PARK IN THE 7-11 PARKING LOT
Jack's n Joe's is a keeper.

Went expecting a gourmet breakfast. I received dry French Toast and under cooked sausage. The manager or owner acted like the under cooked meat was my fault therfore he didn't want to deduct the price of the sausage from my tab. The reviews are over rated use caution.

They have a "secret menu" which is intriguing. I ordered a sausage, bacon, hashbrown burrito off the secret menu and it was huge! It cost less than $8, too, which is a bonus. Strong Coffee made this breakfast quite enjoyable!

Waited for a whole hour to be seated after being told i would be seated in 30 minutes. Guests who came after me were seated right away even as i saw tables were being opened others were seated until i told the waiter 3 times. Her reply was your next each time. Limited menu. I got served raw potatoes as well.

Amazing banana pancakes! Great coffee. Friendly staff and good background music. Large portions at a reasonable price, with a clean comfortable atmosphere. This is my favorite breakfast restaurant near USC and downtown Los Angeles. Be prepared for a wait, and parking issue during prime time hours.

Good breakfast except they cheap out on refilling ketchup bottles with the cheapest they can find. YUK. Pinching pennies shows they care more about maximizing profit then the customer. Not going back.

Awesome service, beautiful restaurant. Waiting for a table often takes a while, but the food is totally worth it. Great coffee, pancakes, even omelettes. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And the servers do a great job at accommodating for what you need.
