This is my first time here.I ordered French toast with eggs over easy. I asked the waitress twice if tgey could put my eggs on top of the French toast. Her response was no.I asked her again in disbelief and she said we don't do that here.Strange.Waiting fot our food .Hopefully the food is better than her response.

Jacks N Joe
GREAT food along with awesome staff and may be one of the safest places to eat.... police eating all the times I've been there
Absolutely love this place, my guys eat here all the time!
The best pancake place ever! The staff is really friendly and very professional! We had a great experience amd went there twice during our trip because the food and the people were so nice! I will definitely come back when I m in LA!
Very nice breakfast place, however, the parking is beyond challenging!
Love the food. Very fast and friendly service. On business in LA and we've been coming every day for five days.
Jacks n Joe is, by far, the best breakfast in LA. The pancakes are delicious! The food is so delicious there s often a wait, but well worth it.
Would not do my hash browns well done. Poor service.
We visit multiple times any time we're in the area. 7(scratch that), it's only 5 Minutes in Heaven...Enough said.
Best breakfast on this side of town. The Dakine Combo is my favorite. The staff and management are very helpful. Place feels like home everytime. Depite the current pandemic they are open for take out.
Parking can be an issue and wait times can be more than an hour at times. However, this is a testament to how good the food is at JNJ. The pancakes are light and fluffy. The sweet bread french toast is soft and buttery. The food is simply amazing. I enjoy sitting at the breakfast bar the best as you get to watch the cooks fly through the orders while conversing with the restaurant staff. The restaurant is small, so accommodating larger parties will be a problem.
It was really packed with people waiting! But thankfully it was just us 2 and was seated quickly. Service and food was good! Just wished they had flavor syrup for the plain iced coffee. Overall would go back.
Best breakfast near USC for sure. Their coffee is also delicious.
Great Staff Delicious Food Prompt service after ordeing.I eat here everytime i come to town Did I mention so many good options on the menu.Number one breakfast spot
First time going and I loved it very attentive waiters and delicious food. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The French toast and the pancakes I tried were delicious and mouth watering. Give it a try you won't leave disappointed.
I enjoyed myself here it can get pretty crowded early that's how I can tell the food will be great and police officers eat here too so this means the food is really good the waiters are on point on their job good service good food.
Breakfast and service at this spot is very good. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I liked.
Very rude and bad service . FOOD IS GOOD BUT VERY OVERRATED BAD EXPERIENCE FOR ME
How many ways can you possibly have pancakes? more than you probably thought
great place for breakfast. service wasn't to good but food was great.
Best place to eat breakfast food is always delicious love it
Breakfast is awesome anytime. This place was definitely busy on the Sunday I visited. The food was delicious and the coffee and the pancakes were delicious. I plan on going back during the week when it is less hectic.
Excellent pancakes. Parking is nearly impossible, but the food is worth the effort
This is my favorite breakfast place anywhere! They have the best menu and yummy coffee.
The food here is very good an the ambiance is quite enjoyable.
breakfast at this spot - super tasty. i love it here.
Nothing on the menu is less than amazing and everyone can find something for their diet. 10/10 would recommend.
Great service, great food, reasonable price, I have been a loyal customer here for a while now and they have their flaws like we all do. But in a not so perfect world, they serve some of the most perfect buttermilk pancakes ever. Big fan of Bacon? Get the fight on pancakes with a side of bacon and hashbrowns you will not be dissatisfied.
Over priced for the quality of food the eggs taste like they came out of a carton you'd be better off at norms
Excellent breakfast, the coffee is delicious and the service is great. There's a bit of a wait but not too bad.
Was AMAZING, best breakfast I've EVER had. Wait staff was super cool n attentive. Conserge, turned out to be a son of owner, was SUPER cool. Was VERY busy but took no time to get our food. Parking is limited tho. ONLY complaint. Place was perfect! Wish I had gotten our watresses name. From West Virginia n was visiting, glad we stopped!
Great service and the best buttermilk pancakes I ve had in my entire life!
Yummy pancakes! Good place to meet for breakfast. Parking is tough. But you can also park around the corner on the street. Check their story of they got started. Heart warming!
The jacks and Joe are good. The potatoes are alright.
The food is delish! Pretty much just a breakfast spot! Service is fast and the staff is professional. The only bad part is the parking situation. Parking is tight.
Authentic American breakfast with unlimited refills. What's not to like?
Found this spot on Yelp Saturday morning and went to check it out. It was AMAZING! There was ample street parking across the street and we had no problems. We elected to sit at the high top table in the middle and only had to wait about 30 minutes. Food was delicious! I had the French toast combo and my husband had the Chocolate Chip pancakes. Both were great. The coffee was also very tasty! The Portuguese sausage had me a little concerned when reading it on the menu, but it turned out to be so good and had the perfect amount of spice! This will definitely be a breakfast spot we bring our friends and family to when they visit LA! Give it a try!
Saturday morning parking awful, 25 minute wait, with that said The Best breakfast, my 5 year old grandson ate all his pancakes said it was like home, he wants to revisit and soon. The buckwheat pancakes delicious, staffers were pleasantly informative about our questions. Worth the wait.
Great food, generous portions. Expect a decent wait time, usually 25-45 minutes for us (2 people)
Food here is all-day breakfast and the restaurant closes at 3:30 pm on Saturday, (2:30 pm on weekdays). My bf and I arrived at around noon and we waited for about 10 minutes. Parking may be tricky as the lot is super small so we ended up parking on the street, about 2 blocks away. First off, Jacks n Joe gets two thumbs WAY UP from me on just the economical pricing of their pancakes! The Z's prime deal is an absolute steal! (2 pancakes for $3.50, 3 for $4.50, 5 for $6.50 and 7 for $8.25!) There is also an option to order them with buckwheat for an extra $1. I decided to order simply and get a Z prime stack of 3 buttermilk pancakes. My bf ordered a custom omelette with sausage, green onions, bell peppers, mushrooms JNJ potatoes & cheese ($7). Food came out relatively fast and service was prompt. Condiments (ketchup, Tapatio & pancake syrup) were already on the table and sugar-free syrup was readily brought to our table when asked.
The pancakes I've ever had. The potatoes are average. But do yourself a favor and go get a stack of pancakes.
Cozy. Nice vibe good service great food. We always try to go but it's usually full. But the times me and my wife have been, we splurge on the great choices. Portuguese sausage is the best. Don't skip out coming here!
Absolutely one of the best breakfast places in the USC area. On weekends there will most likely be a wait (10-15 min) but definitely worth it. Staff is always friendly and have great service.
Jacks N Joe is the best place for breakfast in town. Their location is very accesible. Location and services was excellent. I went by myself and sit on stool in front of kitchen. The server was very good and the food is delicious. You should try their pancakes and I was surprise with their strong and good coffee. Definitely a place to visit while in LA.
Sorry but I'm gonna be a jerk about this place. 1) The lines on sunday if you do not come in early are insane. (we are talking hour to an hour and a half sitting on a curb. 2) Due to the fact that it is always packed, the waiter can be extremely impateient 3) The standard of service is just poor, you had better drink slowly because you won't be getting a refill until they come bring your food or until the bring the check 4) The food really is not all that good. I have been here 5 times and have tried something different each time all being extremely disappointing for having to wait an hour
I tried something new like their Adams and Fig omelette. Its freaky fast speed at the bar and everything perfectly executed. Absolutely scrumptious!!!
This place is delicious and owned by two incredibly strong and genuine people. I love supporting the local business and the convenience to the USC community is a huge perk. However, I have never been when there ISN'T a huge line out the door. The food is great but as far as basic breakfast goes, I don't think a stack of banana pancakes is worth waiting 1+ hours for. Also parking is a struggle. The food is worthwhile if you can snag it without the long wait times.
Best pancakes I've had in my life! I'm not saying that because they were buckwheat either. Every time I'm in Los Angeles it is a must I stop here to eat.
Hands down the finest breakfast in LA. And, if you come back later, the brewery next door occasionally features live music.
Wonderful food and AMAZING service from Jacks N Joe. Thanks and Jacks N Joe. We will definitely come again
The wait is always long, but for a good reason, the food is delicious and the service is usually always great. The wait on average for a table for 2-4 people is about 20-30+ minutes. They have a neat selection of breakfast dishes and an incredibly delicious breakfast burger.
Happened to be around that area and consulted Google maps - okay let's check this place. The staff were friendly and it was quite popular - around 9 already people started to wait for tables. But the food turned out to be at least somewhat disappointing. The buckwheat pancakes were really mediocre and I don't know what to say about the omelette - don't try it.
Food was good quality and the restaurant is clean. Staff is attentive and friendly but way too much in a hurry. You will get your food faster than any other place I've ever seen. If you want something cooked to order make it very clear. Good meal but not great.
Nice place for quality breakfast. the place has an awesome atmosphere. menu is like a place in miami i enjoyed
This was my first time eating here the food was fresh and good. The sevice was great to. I will eat there again.
Great place for breakfast with reasonable prices and friendly staff. Get here early, though - lines can get long on the weekend.
They sat us down kind of fast but they took forever to take our order one of the girls passed by and she just smiled. They finally took our order and brought our food then they wouldn't offer us more coffee and there was an older lady who kept passing by looking at us like if she wanted us to leave.
Food is great everytime. Consistent most importantly and great hospitality no matter who your server is. Me encanta este lugar
so great to eat at the best breakfast place near SC even in a plandemic! FIGHT ON!
Breakfast and the feeling at this spot is excellent. Came here on a Friday I think. Looking forward to a return trip. The place has an awesome feel to it. Food is like a restaurant in Louisville I loved.
Tried the french toast combo, cant remember the actual name but it was very good.
Every time we come to Los Angeles we have to visit this place. Amazing ingredients, amazing food, great service. We live in the Bay area and we wish Jack n Joe's had a restaurant there! Lol.. no matter what pancakes you get you'll be satisfied can't wait to come back.
The best place for a wonderfull breakfast! I love it!
