Great breakfast spot and fantastic pancakes as long as you don't mind a wait. It's super popular but small so you may have to wait for a few ppl to finish their breakfast before you get a chance to be seated.

I ate here the first or second day it opened. I'm not a huge breakfast person but this place is absolutely delicious. I had red velvet pancakes and they were to die for. Or maybe I had cinnamon ones. I just remember I had something that was amazing and way too big to finish. Since I went early, it wasn't too crowded, but I imagine that there's a decent line there, especially since there aren't any breakfast places around. But delicious, good prices, good ambiance and service. If you're around the USC area, definitely make a point to eat here!
I would start by saying, the food was excellent and presentation also was nice. But, there's always something that takes away the 5th star, To you run a business you need to pay attention to the smallest things, because every customer likes and notices different things. Greeting and serving have to be done with professionalism and kindness. Personally, I hate that servers are bringing up the check to the table when you're half way into your meal....basically saying *We need your table right now *
This place is cool! Love the vibe. Staff are friendly and awesome and the food looks and tastes delicious! Truly will come back! I ordered the WT F?! pancakes and they were awesome.
The small, yet impact full disadvantages are: place is small, many people enjoy this place (place gets packed) and the parking is horrible.
My new favorite breakfast spot. Breakfast is served all day. Amazing pancakes and lots of freshly cooked menu items. Good parking and the service is awesome.
Fantastic breakfast. Don't Park in the lot at the strip next to it. Use only the lot directly adjacent (one in front, one behind without a sign) or Park at a meter. Walking distance from Radisson.
I m so glad we heard about this restaurant. Their breakfast is one of the very best I ve had. We had the crepes, pancakes, eggs, home fries, bacon and sausage. The service was quick and the food was absolutely delicious.
I've frequented this place for years, Jacks N Joe never disappoints my expectations for service, quality, and cleanliness. Great spot for small groups, dates, and even to dine solo. My only gripe is the parking situation. Usually I park on the adjacent street on Flower St but this never hinders my overall experience. Must try this place especially if you're attending the nearby colleges.
If I can give you 0 stars that would be most appropriate because our group of 10 was just turned down. They said they could only seat 8 maximum. No problem, we asked if we can be seated separately, 5 and 5. The girl working at the hostess table says Sure but we can t guarantee you sitting together or at the same time . No problem, we were good with that. Then we are told Sorry we can t split up parties ...UMMMMM...what??? So if we came in two groups of 5 that would have been okay? To say terrible service would be an understatement. This was our first trip to LA and we will be sure to NEVER recommend this restaurant to any one travelling there, simply because you lack BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE and COMMON SENSE.
I enjoy coming to Jacks 'N' Joe for breakfast. My favorite item is the "Jacked Up" breakfast sandwich. Place is usually crowded; parking is challenging. Service is excellent tho.
Place is very loud. As a cook myself, I noticed that the pancakes were only brown on one side. I thought that was a little weird. But the food tastes good. Very friendly service.
Such a great place for breakfast food. If you crave a sweet atmosphere and delicious pancakes, well this is the place to go. The wait is a bit long on certain days, but that's because it's so popular. The servers are nice and welcoming, the staff is all around top notch. The have music playing and on some days you can get take out. I enjoyed my food and the place just makes you feel comfortable.
Fantastic food and even better service. We were worried because we were in somewhat of a hurry, but we were in and out in 20 minutes and on to our next destination!
One of my favorite things to eat in the entire world is Chicken and Waffles, and the best ones I've had was in New Orleans. While watching Top Chef during this quarantine era, I started to crave some Chicken and Waffles, and found this brunch spot on Yelp. We were able to order pick-up, and I was pleasantly surprised that the Cajun Fried Chicken remained crispy and somewhat juicy after a 20 minutes drive. The waffles weren't too bad either, although I prefer my waffles more crispy than soft.
coffee & pancakes. Located in a good place despite surroundings J&J offers a wide array of pancake selections. Well duh right? Get here early parking is tight (literally). Trendy decor but pricy espesh the bacon. Get the B.B. cakes
Not good for large parties, we were 7 and we had to seat in 2 different tables they couldnt put the 2 tables together beacuse the floor was "uneven" . The food was ok pancakes awsome!
I enjoyed my breakfast and service but as a black mother I was disappointed that i did not see any black employees. Will not be going back. In my neighborhood we should have jobs.
Very upsetting wouldn't seat us even though we were willing to break our party of 9 into two parties. Said it would get "Sticky". I was hungry and wanted food would be happy eating with whomever was at my table I am not some teenager who would be yelling across the room to my bff. I am 44 and need food and coffee.
So i was told that I'm unable to order take out Sunday- Friday. Sun-Thur i work my problem lol. I told all my friends about this hidden jewel . The parking suck and i drove there thinking i was finally going to get some breakfast boy oh boy was i wrong but i was told i could eat here no thanks to much noise. Just wanted to relax at home with some Jack's N Joe breakfast to much work for me.
The restaurant is great; bacon, potatoes, and coffee are excellent. However the website listed in the Google Maps entry appears to have been hijacked, or maybe someone falsely added that website name via a "suggestion". Either way it is not correct.
This is a pretty good place. I just came right after my work in he evening and experienced bad parking. With difficulty I stopped a little far from the restaurant. But once I entered, I was welcomed by very kind servers. Their warm attitude and delicious food just made me forget about my parking bad experience.
One of The Best lil breakfast spots in LA. Usually a wait... don't let that discourage you. Service is awesome, cooks are swift and before you know it you've eaten and are on your way. The food choices are great and you will not be disappointed in the taste.
We were in L.A. for a family trip and we found this place in Google and we decided to try the place because of it's proximity of where we were staying plus the good reviews it got from customers.
Truly enough, Jack's Banana pancakes are to die for. I understand now why so many people are saying good things about. The coffee were perfectly brewed and smells really great.
What a disappointment, the owner was super rude and disrespectful. I remember when they just open she was nice and cordial. I guess she doesn t care for customers anymore
