Islanders for the San Juan Islands National Monument Reviews

A beautiful, and not yet spoiled, corner of our vast, diverse nation. I'm very thankful for predecessors with the foresight to set aside many islands for future generations of visitors. The waters are huge and powerful in many ways.

Beautiful area full of trails and beaches to explore. Go for a hike, do some fishing, play on the beaches, or head out for a bike ride - so many options for this amazing spot.

So many great things to see and not overly crowded.

Inspiring place to understand how man impacts the environment, and a sad place to see the last of the resident Orca whales.

A ferry trip to the San Juan Islands is a must if you're visiting Washington state. Ferry's leave Anacortes to various islands in the national monument regularly. There is much to explore on the different islands including historic sites, restaurants, rocky beaches, charter fishing, whale watching and more. Many youth camp programs are also offered at various destinations in the San Juan Islands National Monument.

What's not to love about the San Juan Islands? I mean seriously, the trip out is always so beautiful, even during the storms we get here. The Islands themselves are all beautiful, including the uninhabited islands. Orcas Island is my husband's and my favorite island, staying in Eastsound at the Outlook Inn annually and sometimes twice a year. Just lovely, absolutely lovely.

The water is beautiful. Have seen dolphins and sea lions/ seals. Looking now for whales.

A day on the water, surrounded by wildlife and beautiful landscape. The most peace you will have this side of the sod.

Marvelous place. Best appreciated from the water but many wonderful amenities at various marinas. People are friendly and helpful.

Awesome place to visit, not much shopping but your just a ferry ride from other locations.

Beautiful day, beautiful area. We had the best clam chowder at Rocky Bay cafe on Spring St. Homemade, Just the best.

Love the island. Gift shops are a little overpriced for almost everything being imported.

This place is just a short drive and ferry ride from Seattle but it feels like a completely different world. Small communities and lots of sunshine since it's in a rain shadow!

You should stay away so I can have it all to ourselves.
