Staff is friendly but I had to give this place a 2 because it is an absolute joke trying to get a hold of anyone here by phone. You aren t allowed to leave a message unless you re cancelling an appointment but no one ever picks up the phone or the lines are always busy. Please fix this issue.

From the moment you walk in you are treated with respect and compassion. Both the reception staff as well as the doctors and nurses are nothing but kind and compassionate. They seem to recognise patients coming in are in a vulnerable position and do their absolute best to make it as comfortable an experience as possible.

I cannot recommend this clinic, specifically Dr. Just enough.

Staff at island sexual health do not care about patients well being. they did not follow up to schedule gynaecologist appointment for over 7 months till girlfriend had to call back 3 times in a row. Now she s on a 7-9 month wait list even though she just waited 7 months. I would not trust any staff there to help you out with anything serious. If I could rate it lower than 1 star I would!

Some great doctors and obviously great services. However, they have some not so great staff, and a MAJOR issue with timing appointments. I understand that they re not for profit and run on limited resources, but if you can t fit appointments in then don t book them. I arrived early for my IUD removal and still somehow had to wait over an hour after the scheduled time.

From the unit clerks to the doctor I felt listened to when so many other doctors have brushed off my concerns. I felt respected. I felt listened to. And I finally got an answer to my ongoing issue. I will happily pay 20$ a year and continue going to this clinic! They are all amazing!

Absolutely fantastic. Got an IUD replaced after having a terrible experience getting the first one (at a different doctor's office.) They listened to my concerns and went out of their way to make sure I was completely comfortable and informed every step of the way. These ladies are the best. Thank you!!

Quite upset... Returned to this clinic multiple times over the years, just told to keep getting internal ultrasounds rather than being referred to a specialist. Finally, in August of 2018 I was able to get a refferal because I told them I believe I have endometriosis as I have all the symptoms, which I said previous appointments but was ignored. I kept following up from October-March calling to see when I would hear back from the specialist because I was told I would be in within 3-4 months as I was a severe case. Each time they told me they would follow up. In February, I called 4 days in a row being told a manager would call me back (they still haven't btw) and that they would check into my referral. Turns out, the specialist never received my August referral and nobody I talked to followed up until I called those 4 days in a row in February. I got a call from the specialist today, and now I am waiting as if my reccomendation was put in in February. If they would have followed up like I requested, I wouldn't be waiting another year to get into a specialist as they can't put me on my placement I should have gotten in February. In short, clearly you need to follow up multiple times until they do. Better yet, ask for the specialist's name and call the specialist's office within a month if you haven't heard anything or you might be waiting an extra year for your refferal too.

I came by to ask about testing, an employee said to call the number and quickly went inside. Yes she had attitude and was not interested in helping me.

Everytime I called the number I got the machine how they cant pick up the call and to call latter.

I do not recommend this place. Community health centers should not have such attitude ever. Gross !!!!

The two girls at Reception are both pleasant on the telephone and in person. The doctor who attended to me was very personable and professional and non judgemental while answering all my questions. Everyone should feel very comfortable coming here knowing they'll be treated with respect and made at ease.

several months ago, i went in to speak to someone about contraception. within 20 minutes of meeting me, a nurse gave me an injection of depo provera that has caused me life threatening mental and physical health problems to this day. i was never warned of any side effects. every doctor i have spoken to since has told me how outrageous it was of her to administer depo provera to me, considering the fact that I am mentally ill and have anemia and PMDD. Within 2 weeks of receiving the injection, I was in constant pain, experiencing severe mood swings, and i had to be hospitalized. I was traumatized by the experience and am currently receiving medical treatment for the toll this has taken on my body.

i want to support this place because what they do is so incredibly important, but the negligence and irresponsibility of one of their staff members caused me indescribable amounts of long-term pain and I am afraid to go back.

The staff here are fantastic! When I went to get my IUD, I walked into the lobby and had a nauseous bout (a.k.a. vomiting into the lobby trashcan). One of the receptionists helped me to the education room where I was able to lay down until I felt better. I was given a pillow and glass of water to feel more comfortable.

I had a super pleasant experience here. Front desk staff super nice and the nurse was one of the most informative and helpful I have ever had. Everyone very friendly and welcoming! I didn t have an appointment as they were all booked but came as a walk in anyway, and they saw me within an hour. I m impressed and will definitely be coming back :)

I booked an appointment and called in july 31st for my second depo shot
The receptionist told me that i have been booked at august 2 (aug 3 and 4 is a holiday) even though my first shot was last may 4th. I asked the receptionist if that will have no side effects in which she put me on hold to ask the nurse.
She said " its okay, the nurse said she can squeeze you in around 10am at august 2 friday for your depo shot".
I asked again to confirm the date and time of the appointment, in which she repeated "Aug 2, 2019 10am"
To my disappointment, I arrived on time at the island sexual health only to be notified that I dont have any appointments at all! I have a record of their phone number when i called in At 2pm last july 31 2019, so i know this is the clinic I called in no one else!
and I didnt expect that the person I trusted and called in didnt jot down my appointment date.
I dont know, i might spend 50 bucks on my depo shot from now on at the pharmacy rather than go there again. Im really upset as I went home thinking about the whole ordeal.

I am forever grateful to the staff at island sexual health. From reception, to doctors, to hospital clinic coordination. This not for profit takes extremely good care of all their patients and I highly recommend anyone without a family doctor see these folks and donate as much as they can as often as they can to keep their doors open. Thank you ISHS

I was booked in for an appointment at 2:30pm on We...

I was booked in for an appointment at 2:30pm on Wednesday November 13th, for severe abdominal pain and bleeding for the two weeks since having an IUD installed. I had a dental appointment previously booked for 4pm the same day, but accepted the 2:30 appointment because it would leave me with plenty of time to see the doctor and make it back downtown for my next appointment. I arrived on time, yet sat in the office for over an hour and had to leave before anyone saw me. I went to the reception desk when I realized I had less that 30 minutes left before I had to leave and was told I was "next in the que" but then watched a woman who arrived at least 20 minutes after me get called in first. This was disheartening because I am in so much physical pain and discomfort and took a bus from work downtown up to the clinic for nothing, just to bus back downtown for my next appointment, and I had to use the last 2 hours of my sick leave at work for this totally pointless trip. I was so frustrated that I shed a couple of tears. I have never been so let down by a clinic before, and I'm writing this because I am currently awake with abdominal pain at 12:30am and can't believe I still need to make another appointment somewhere to be seen at all, and I want to spare someone the same experience I just had. I donated $20 for the yearly fee collectio when I checked in for my appointment but I likely will not be returning. What is the point of scheduling appointments if you can't honour the time within even an hour of the original scheduled time? Very disappointing.

I just came back from a routine checkup at ISH. I had such a positive experience that I had to write a review. Dr Tresoor was incredibly informative, helpful and did her best to put me at ease. Thank you very much for making an always uncomfortable necessity not so terrible!
