Horrible service had a trip and fall and car accident shortly after. I rang them for car Accident injury claim and they advised to claim for trip as well. No one bother to call for the trip claim and other injury claim it's almost a year they are reviewing my file. Each time I call they say it will be done this month but no one bother calling back or no progress. I am thinking to give the claim to someone else. AVOID WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING INEXPERIENCED STAFF. STAY AWAY

Awful experience. No one can answer any form of question you have without having to make a phone call. No replies to emails or phone calls. Always late, took over a year to sort out a personal trainer, aswell as very little physio (had a bike crash broken femur and broken wrist)

From what ive experienced with irwin mitchell so far.

Customers clearly mean nothing to you, shown by your lack of respect to keep us updated.

The lies. Whilst being unable to move i was told by irwin mitchell to get a taxi as they will send the receipts to get them refunded for me, over this time all the money i used on taxis was borrowed as i was unable to go back to work.
After 3 months of using taxis at least twice a week i was then told they havent refunded it but instead used it as evidence for a taxi account.

Thanks to Irwin Mitchell I am still trying to pay these people back today.

The claim has now come to an end (well it did over a month ago)



Seriously everyone, save your time and money, please dont fall into this trap like me.

Our experience with Irwin Mitchell was and continues to be difficult and extremely unhelpful, our case handler MR SHAHUL SHAHAAN is an absolute joke of a solicitor, his knowledge in his discipline is limited and frankly does not know his chapter, out of at least 30 plus conversations with the firm over the past year we have only managed to speak to him 7/8 times and those conversations have not been constructive at all, he can't wait to get off the phone, the secretary's (no fault of theirs) pass on the message to call us back and he has never once called us, it has been continuous chasing from us.
In a similar case a few years ago the previous firm kept us informed of the progress at all times and exhausted all routes to maximize the overall outcome in our favour, with what we had learnt from the previous case we put this forward to Mr Shaahan and it was brushed off as 'this is not possible' but only to find out it was possible from another solicitor with Irwin Mitchell by that time the paperwork had been signed and agreed.

A slow and rubbish service . 7 months on from a simple crash to resolve blame and no progress made. 3 statements sent in their own prepaid envelopes and they reckon none received from 3 witnesses. Total failure. Would never get involved with them again

Twice had a claim being delt with by this company the first time that I had a claim for compensation, went on and on then I got told that they are not going any further the second time round wasn't much different to the first time . When the case could of easily of been won the case got closed as the lady solicitor in charge couldn't be arsed. I do not recommend this company to anyone

Awful service please stay away, dispite winning my case. We are still yet to receive the money, every time we call up theres a different excuse as to why they haven't received the payment. Then trying to get hold of my case handler, he is always conveniently sick or on holiday, this must be a great place to work as they do nothing and get paid.

Dealing with Irwin Mitchell is like having a conversation with yourself. They do not answer or respond to any phone calls or emails. They say they send out letters for certain appointments that never actually arrive. I currently have a claim outstanding with Irwin Mitchell and have been trying to contact them consistently for over a year now with hardly any response at all. They do not seem to care about the client or the decency to get back to people with an update. Think wisely before appointing Irwin Mitchell to handle any sort of legal work for you. It is as if they have 3 people working in an office trying to handle 5000 cases and cannot cope. Very Very poor to say the least. I would score them Zero if it would let me.

Incompetent - farm the work out to pseudo-lawyers and churn out endless computer-generated forms to try and bully businesses into settling - all at the cost of the claimant who has to buy insurance to cover costs in the event they lose - which they invariably do - unless you consider taking most of the claimant's award as a "fee" somehow a win...for the claimant...

Would give no stars if I could. Very unprofessional service. Kept having to chase it up myself. Wasn't kept updated. Unfriendly solicitor who made me feel like I was a nuisance whenever I would call her for an update. She even had attitude. Would highly recommend staying away from this company. Not all they advertise they are. .

1 star is being generous. How this firm are supposedly "one of the leading law firms in the UK" is beyond me.

Really poor and unprofessional service. Employment claim (paid for by insurance) rejected and they gave me their feedback LITERALLY 5 minutes before the tribunal deadline to find another solicitor. This was despite pointing out the tight timings weeks earlier and their own team advising we had more time.

They also admitted to only glancing through documents and not actually properly reading through evidence submitted. How can a solicitor base an entire case through a glance? We supposedly had a reputable solicitor (S.S senior assiociate) acting on our behalf which makes me wonder how rubbish you've got to be to get a job here.

Don't waste your time or money instructing this firm.

Do not ever use this firm of solicitors for any serious medical negligence case. In 2008 this firm of solicitors, likened to clowns by many, messed up a serious and catastrophic brain injury case through sheer incompetence, leaving the brain and bodily injured claimant with no funds to pay for care, along with no care. The claimant was then left suffocating with a hypoxic brain injury and NO OXYGEN. Let alone anything else.

Further to this disastrous failing and incompetence because they handed the case to an inexperienced solicitor (William Cornwell) who couldn't see the wood for the trees, he then put the claimants entire medical notes which included falsified and libellous information in the post and they were stolen by criminals, who have been using the claimants medical notes ever since.

The crimes the claimant and her relatives have suffered due to the incompetence of this firm of solicitors include kidnap and rape. DUE TO THE HIGH WORTH CASE.

Irwin Mitchell have made no attempt to rectify the damage caused by William Cornwell and their selves.

USE THIS DANGEROUS AND INCOMPETENT FIRM AT YOUR OWN RISK.

OR AS OTHERS AND I HAVE SUGGESTED...DO NOT USE THEM.

If they can cause so much PROVEN damage to one claimants case, they can do it to all.

Ambulance chasers. Bombarding me with constant emails, letters and text messages asking me to complete and sign forms ASAP, following a minor car accident. I don t even know who they are or how they got my details, and I ve certainly have never contacted them before. Emailed them back several times telling them to bugger off but they keep on coming!

We have had the team from Irwin Mitchell work on advising us for the better part of 5 years and we are extremely happy with their professionalism and conduct. They have always been very clear about the scope of work including timelines; cost per hour and which associate is dealing with what, etc.
We continue to associate with them.

Hi, I had a road accident and I have contacted Irwin Mitchell. They sent me the link to complete forms online which didn t work and I been keep chasing them for 1-2 weeks and they sent me forms which I sent back and after one week I contacted them and I have been advised that they never received the forms and I have been sent another forms to fill. It took nearly 2-3 weeks. I got a notification that my file has been updated and I contacted them back and got transferred back to a very rude case manager ( she shouldn t be there ). As per the forms guidelines if we have a legal expense cover we should inform them immediately and they will contact them directly ( please ready guidelines which is sent with the forms ) But my case manager was so so rude that she didn t even considered that I have been suffering due to their service. And was asking me to send her a proof of legal expense cover which is ridiculous as according to their guidelines they should be contacting my insurance company. Anyways when I contacted my insurance company about this they advised me the same that they don t give any confirmation as my solicitor should be contacting them. I requested customer services that I want to speak to the complaint team but couldn t put me through and again I rang them to raise my concerns but again they couldn t put me through to the team leader/ complaint handling manager. They didn t even bother to call me back but I will genuinely advise you to get rid of your rude case manager who was dealing with my road accident claim. My case was straight forward as other driver was drunk and agreed everything. You team was so unprofessional and couldn t help !!! I won t recommend your service to anyone at all

In the two and a half years since making a claim f...

In the two and a half years since making a claim for compensation with Irwin Mitchell i have never had any contact from a solicitor. The claims are delt with by a claims adviser who will write to you by way of update even when there is nothing to update you on and of course there is a cost to this and any work the clams adviser claims to have done on your behalf. These costs add up over the years and before Irwin Mitchell makes the decistion to take your case to court they have to be sure they can re claim these costs.If you have a claim to make regarding compensation and don't mind waiting three years for them to decide if the case goes to court or not then Irwin Mitchell is for you. They will drag out and delay to add more costs and drop the case if they are unsure of re claiming there made up costs. Very poor service regret contacting them.

Do not instruct this firm as a deputy for your loved relative. Their promise of a strong working relationship with family evaporates as soon as they get their CoP rubber stamp; and I could not un-recommend them more strongly. They are simply awful.

Dear Irwin Mitchell. I have been in touch with your Sheffield office as recently as some four weeks ago when I submitted to them a package of documents. The said documents related to a very serious matter of fraud and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, committed by your colleagues at the Sheffield office. For reasons that are obvious to me they have shown no willingness to cooperate with my request for an explanation for their criminal actions. Consequently my bundle of evidence sent to them containing the request for an explanation remains unanswered. That situation cannot be passed by without consequences. I therefore report the matter to an alternative office who may consider their reticence is motivated by their intention to contain their criminal behaviour within their own offices. I would appreciate this deadlock to be resolved and so I ask that you urgently take positive action.

I m glad it s not just me who felt in the dark while my case was being handled. Decided to not support my case despite tripping and rather seriously hurting myself in a large supermarket. Each time I called another extension was given with no real explanation. What was a traumatic experience wasn t helped by their service. Please don t waste your time.

Which means unnecessary expense to clients, with zero prospects of getting any response what so ever from the recipient. To summarise a complete waste of time and money. Did not manage the case, bombarded last minute for requests for info - dealt with 14 different people at IM . Ros Bever sent an email saying "this comes with a health warning at 10.30 pm night. Pushed me to breaking point. Unconscionable - do not go near them. refused to extend complaint time due to ill health-

Would not take a case due to someone already having a disability and negligence clearly took place but apparently they discriminate against someone who has a life long disability. As they put it its 50/50 whether they believe you or not regardless of evidence being brought forward.

Horrendous. They are suposed to be representing us under our insurance claim. But they don't have lawyers you can actually speak to. They don't call back. They don't answer emails. They don't handle anything. Excuse after excuse after excuse. It's been 3 months since we lodged our claim and we have not actually spoken to a lawyer about it yet. Just "let me take your details down and I'll email someone to call you back" - more than 30 times now.

do NOT I REAPEAT DO NOT... let this company deal with any claims. i was refered to these from accident helpline and after seeing tv ads i went with them for a strait forward claim of witch after two years of filling out the same forms over and over again recieving replys from 3 differant solicitors then recieved a letter stating that liability was not admited from the council and they will be droping the case. after contacting other solicitors and emailing the councils claims team myself to explain my case and ask advice as the time period to claim was nearly up..... they would not send case details to other solicitor and council team could not deal with me directly as i had already been working with irwin mitchell they had to deal with my apointed solicitor. anyway they did get back to these guys who sent me a letter saying great news the council have now admit liability so they are back working on my case... i am still here another year later after having a medical and sending all forms payslips everything they need to finish my case and get me offer. liability is admitted insurence company is ready to pay but my solicitor nearly 4 years later after my accident obviously are not doing their jobs properly dealing with this company has caused me more strees then you would believe i wish i had gone with someone else but as its come so far i dont want to start again.... false advertising on their adverts is disgusting dont recomend this firm at all really not happy with the way they have handled my case...... this accident has ruined my life and this company has not made my claims experience a good one lets just hope they get me what i deserve and i dont have anymore bad news or any more hold ups
