Irwin Mitchell Review

Great advice and help. Answered my questions about next steps and actions to take with repairs the garage did to my car.

Over 8 months and still waiting for a simple/small financial settlement and copy of amended deeds. No form of correspondence and a so sue me/us attitude.... sadly I can t rate them 0 !!!

*Update* hear nothing from them for months... then leave a review and 21 minutes later... boom!!... unbelievable!

I injured my back at work in May 2018 and have settled my claim now in August 2019. I was nervous about claiming against my employer but it was very simple with Irwin Mitchell. I would highly recommend this company.
They kept me updated constantly through letters and i was never left confused or wondering what is happening. Whenever i sent an email asking questions, they were always answered clearly. I will say in the year and a bit that it took to settle my claim, on two occasions i had to chase up my own email because of no reply. A little bit annoying but always solved after a call or reminder email.
Use this company! No stress at all!. Thank you Irwin Mitchell

I do not recommend this firm for no win no fee cases

Most incompetent company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Acting on behalf of the buyer of my property, they have prolonged proceedings by almost 5 months now - on a cash purchase - raising over 50 irrelevant queries. The buyer has transferred his funds, and returned his signed contract, but the conveyance lawyer on his case has chosen to sit on it for the 3 days leading up to Christmas, ignoring all forms of contact, rather than tying things up, as both myself and the buyer both wanted. Things have now been delayed until the New Year, meaning more interest payments on my mortgage and the buyer being out of a home. I am absolutely disgusted that you can call yourselves professionals yet act in this manner. Never in my life will I recommend you.

Simply claiming to be Pro Bono. Uses discretion and racial profiling before offering Pro Bono service. Will call you, take down all your details and then making decision on the fly to whether to charge or not.

An absolutely abysmal experience. I spent 2 years and a few thousand pounds trying to get what should have been a relatively straightforward divorce across the line, and had the misfortune of having Zoe Round supposedly representing me. I was repeatedly asked the same questions around and around in a loop, to which answers had already been given and all this managed to do was to generate a bill every quarter for the company. The impression I got was that she really had no oversight over what she had already done or needed to do. She does not take instruction, and is completely indifferent to what the client is actually saying. There may be some very good legal representatives in this company, unfortunately I did not have the luck of having one of them. There are good and bad in every profession and I would suggest vetting your legal representation for transparency and the ability to get the job across the line, as for this experience it was absolutely a waste of time and money. Moved on to a lawyer who has the ability to get things done.

ADDENDUM - standard generic paste and post response from Irwin Mitchell, as per every other complaint of shabby service in their reviews. This is hardly surprising and does not constitute a solution to poor service. Please feel free to review this case material yourselves, take this as verbal consent given! I literally guarantee nothing happens with this. Once again, caveat emptor when dealing with this practice.

Fantastic staff, legal advice is 2nd to none. I thoroughly recommend anyone that needs legal advice to use their services.

Irqwin Mitchell are possibly one of the worst i have ever had the misfortune of using to prove negligence.
If you are on no win no fee they seem to over charge( thereby using your money allowance)
They dont use correct medical personnel to assist in defence.
Their specialist medical defence are possibly receiving alternative monetary money insentives to not assist you.
They refuse to use evidence sent to them !!
All their intrested in is 50/50 and if its looking possibly not going to work then their 50/50 appears .

All they had to do is reply to an email.
They failed to send the email and then lied about it.
I can only suggest this company is one of the worst in the country.
Basically they rip off big companies by offering them packages then they do very little except count their money.
Customer service is non existant just lies read from a script.
I have sacked them as they are so useless slimey and devious.
Just read Trustpilot reviews they look genuine reviews and everyone seems to have the same low opinion of these jokers.

Amazing services, my case took 3years of hard work but they where always at the end of the phone/email for me.. it was a very complex case but they knew what they where doing every step of the way. And the after support was great aswell. Most definitely recommen using Irwin Mitchell solicitor's.

Worst solicitors ever? Appalling at conveyancing and best avoided. Irwin Mitchell made numerous serious errors during my house purchase. This included divulging private data from other clients, incorrectly calculating the stamp duty owed on the property and confusing me with another client altogether. A truly awful experience and one I wouldn't wish on anybody else.

Would never use them ever again, they dont keep you updated, they takes a ridiculous amount of time to send any form of paperwork off. would highly recomend to not use these solicitors

Following a non fault car accident in August 2018 we were unlucky enough to have Irwin Mitchell as the solicitors to deal with my husbands claim. I have to agree with other comments on here and cannot recommend this firm at all. A lack of communication (unless we chased them), delays in pursuing the matter and giving out what, in our view was misleading advice, led to the claim only being settled in June 2019! Appalling service in our view.

All the staff are very helpful.its a nice relaxed atmosphere. Plus very professional .

I would like to thank Charlotte and Yogi for their help and advice in dealing with a family feud and their intervention which enabled my mum to come home after spending a long time in an old people's residence against her wishes.
I would highly recommend them to others if ever you find yourself in a similar situation. They were extremely efficient and professional in their approach which resulted in a positive outcome when handling my case. I am so pleased I was able to communicate with them and I am very grateful for every thing they did for me.

Currently using their conveyancing services and the staff seem very stuck with simple queries which is concerning. The particular person assigned to our case has not actually been involved yet over the 2 month period to date. They are all rude and are extremely slow to respond. Will not be recommending to friends or family.

Biggest crooks possible.,almost killed me with there bully boy tactics

Modern offices, very clean and professional atmosphere. The service I received is also excellent. Disabled customers may reserve a parking space in advance, although on attending there seemed plenty of space. The building its self is disabled friendly, with a lift and toilet for men, women and disabled. Very up market experience.

Someone crashed and wrote off my Van. The Police closed the case
despite having the details of the offender. My Insures Legal Aid Team Irwin Mitchell Solicitors continued with my claim. I received my Excess back after a near two year battle. Thank You Irwin Mitchell very professional in how you dealt with my case.

Tried to start a clinical negligence case with this company and so far haven't really had a response apart from an email saying they've tried to call me. I've sent numerous emails with all the details involved even gp notes in the potential case non of which they have replied to

Very disappointing service. I contacted them as thought they would be very professional. I did get a call back promptly after emailing the head of the relevant team. Once they realised after speaking to me that there were no big bucks in it, and that I was only asking for a couple of hours' chat in the first instance, they stopped responding to me. They did not return my calls and did not respond to my email requesting an appointment.
I went elsewhere and got really good service. Will never use Irwin Mitchell even if they were the last law firm in town.

I hear this place is pretty good from a client's perspective but a terrible place to actually work. A lot of bullying going on, that I have heard from staff over the years that I am friends with. A lot of crying going on in the toilets by lower level staff etc. Staff have lost their jobs or walked out due to other staff members telling HR lies and incorrect information. Sounds like an unpleasant cut throat place to work.

Not recommend, spent 2 years on a case then decided they can't help me and get a second opinion.

Absolutely Disgusting Service.
From start to finish they've caused me no end of stress. The "solicitor" I had was an absolute joke. She went 7 months without even looking at my file and her supervisor even admitted it, saying "let's just forget about it and move on".
They were very unprofessional, rude and I had to contact one of the partners before they decided to actually get the case moving or take my complaints seriously. What should have been a straight forward case took over 19 months. I am now in contact with the LEGAL OMBUDSMAN and am considering all avenues to get closure from such a horrific experience. Avoid Irwin Mitchell at all cost.

Disgusting service - emailed twice and received acknowledgement email twice on 1st Sept and 14th Sept but no one has rung, Now the email is blocked with an application error. It didn't used to be like this.

Has small customer car park. Reasonable price for some solicitor signatures. Cheaper than some small solicitors I looked at.
