ann dunne Review of Irish Ferries
BIKERS BEWARE!!!!!
BIKERS BEWARE!!!!!
The ferry is new and clean. Where food was concerned there was no middle ground, you either had an expensive restaurant at 60 a head or a self service which was just ok. The thing we were very annoyed about was when we were told where to park our motorcycle my husband asked the two irish ferries guy's if he should put the bike on the main stand or side stand, both men told us to put it on the main stand. My husband strapped it down and one of the employees checked it to make sure all of the motorcycles were secure. Our bike was the 1st in the line of bikes, when we went back the next morning our bike was on the side stand, and no staff around to tell us why it been moved. My husband had a look and thought the bike seemed ok.It was only when we stopped for fuel 150 miles down a French motorway that we noticed slight damage which seemed like white paint from the wall of the ship around the headlight, it was like
white wash paint or chalk like paint, not car paint. Our motorcycle is a zzr 1400 and had panniers and a topbox. When we returned to the ship a few days later we told Irish Ferries, they didn't want to know because the bike had been taken of the ship. They wouldn't have a look at the bike or even go with my husband to where the bike had been parked to check the wall. Also the guy in charge of the parking couldn't give us an explanation as to why our bike had been put on the side stand by his people. So Bikers beware!!!!!. Very unhappy with Irish ferries response. Check your bike before you leave the ship.
