SSKM Hospital is very good government hospital. Specially for newborn baby hub centre and gyno.

One of the best government hospitals in West Bengal. Doctors are available 24x7. There's a scope to improve the service.

Good place but better if doctors give a little more time to the patient because they are very quick to write medicines and penicenter they write the medicine before they hear it

The most reputed Govt. Hospital with renowned professional doctors and well infrastructure.

Best 'super hospitality hospital' in Kolkata. Treatment and doctors are not bad infact good. But it should be more clean, patient friendly. The hospital is located in Bhawanipur, near Kolkata's cultural hub Rabindra sadan area. All Kolkata, North and south 24 parganas, Howra depends on it.

Nice and affordable hospital but service is slow and but bit crowded

Recently a fire station is established over here, which gives 24*7 protection commitment, apart from that a Water ATM is also established to insure clean and cold drinking water. Many blocks and building is on its last phase before completion, after that these hospital will cater more admitted patients.

It's a good place as major treatment are done without any cost. U will only have to purchase a Rs.2/- Ticket of the department, u want to consult.

The consulting doctors are very good, as they treat the patients well. Some of them aren't well mannered.

There are department of every disease. It saves u a lot of Money. The Infrastructure is also improving day by day.

Summarizing everything, this is a very good PG.

But it takes too much of your time, because the work done here is too slow. Full day is wasted.

My postgraduate institution. Crowded and overloaded hospital.

This SSKM hospital is "BEST" in name BUT "WORST" in reality. If don't believe pls visit once.

Treatment Service, Doctors, Nurse, others staff are very rough behavioural. They are really rough and unsympathetic. Even the OPD doctors' intention is not to cure the patients but they are well expert in how fast they can end up the patients' queue.

They don't even try to understand how much difficulty and sufferings the poor are to face.They are to stand in long queue in direct sun light for a long time (max 5-6hrs).

The poor go there with a lot of HOPE that they will definitely get cured but after visiting there. They lost their hope as I experienced there. Bad service , rought treatment with junior practioner, there is no scope to say the problem properly, before saying something they complete the prescription writing and say come on next date.

I'm really VERY VERY HOPELESS in the overall treatment of SSKM (PG) HOSPITAL. GOVT. SHOULD TAKE URGENT STEPS AGAINST THIS CONDITIONS OF THE GOVT. HOSPITALS.

I was a student of Institute of post graduate medical education and research from the year 1996 to 2000. School of Physical Medicine i.e. SPM was our department. I still remember we all attended opd sharp at 9 am. Beyond that time we were made absent by our respected faculities.
Lots of fun were there. We had a great common room... where we along with our HOD Prof played carrom for a long time... What a terrific player was he. He used to be a very good teacher.
I still remember those days when we all 8 students went to UCM, NRS for classes... Waited for Anatomy class at Ronald Ross Building for hours.. And for medicine class too.
I didn't forget about Nandan Gach tola where we along with our seniors gathered to gossip.
I still think of the first show at nandan 1 at only rs. 5 per ticket...
Still missing a lot.

A much better Govt. hospital in West Bengal as compared to Others. Much affordable, resourceful, Spacious and adequate hospital. All departments available. College part is also great. One of my friend is doing MBBS there too.
The downside is the time it takes to get the help needed. Thousands of patients suffer each day here and there due to extreme rush. Very few wheelchairs are available. Medicines are not that Cheap even after it shows 67.5% concession.
Still,, It's A must one to go for every low middle nd low class family.

website of this hospital is very poor. Searching of doctor for a particular department is very difficult. Anybody can compare the matter with the site of CMRI. Please make easy access for finding the doctor of concern department.

Super speciality Govt Hospital of West Bengal. Cost free hospital. Only Rs.2/- for entry. Good for Doctors availability. Hospital area are clean and tidy. Too much busy other than any hospital of bengal. Nurse and staff are good and well behaved. Rush of patients are too much. All over bengal patients come here. Patients party's rest room and amenity are available.

Doctor' are Very good but hospital's Service are worthless. not satisfied.

This hospital is situated at exide, transportation is good, that is you can reach the hospital from any direction. And it actually located at a popular place as well. So no difficulties in finding that. Architecture is good, the hospital is clean, not smelly, staffs are well behaved as well. What I heard is that doctor's are talented as well in their jobs.

Doctors have good degrees but very rude behaviour. Nurse and sisters are just a mess. No care of the patient. Very bad place.
CCU which should have the best service has the worst one. Very bad place.
Patient experiences new symptoms here. Bedsore is common here as the staff is nonsense here.
Bribe is famous here. Give money and everything is done all rules broken. But if we give money to sisters the fools will accept money but not take care of the patient.

This sskm hospital is very good. Dr of orthopedic department is very good. There is very good treatment here.

Offical Staffs are very co-operative. Surrounding is neat and clean.One thing they should look after is traffic system inside the campus.

This hospital is filled with highly efficient doctors,but staffs are very bad.They behave rudely with patients like they are lord and we are servants.One thing I want to mention here that,this is a GOVT. Hospital and maximum services are free here(except some ) and I visited here for my ear problem and doctor suggested me a tympanometry test from the hospital.When I went to tympanometry room,they charged from me rs 300 which is totally free of cost in MR Bangur hospital.Totally worst hospital in kolkata.

One of the oldest hospitals in Kolkata. It is the biggest government hospital by area in Kolkata. The treatment and diagnosis are free of cost. However, medicines are required to be bought by the patient. The Trauma Care Centre is new and fully air conditioned and hygiene is maintained. However, other building aren't well maintained and cleanliness is a major concern. Treatment is also delayed and with hassle. However, they have some good Doctors in some of the departments and some serious diseases can only be cured here. All in all, it's a hospital for the poor and needy, where you have to put time and effort unconditionally and less guarantee of complete cure..!
