When I was searching the internet for a pair of STC Duncan II work boots I noticed that IHL had the boots for sale but unfortunately not in my size. I sent an email and the next day I heard back from a company representative. Nan was very professional and checked to see if the boot was available in my size. Nan was able to locate a pair of boots for me and they were shipped out and at my door within 2 days. I will not hesitate to buy items from them in the future. I would rate this company 10/10 for high quality of service.

I normally go into the store, but recently purchased a Bosch GLM 50C online from IHL. It arrived very quickly and was packed well, but unfortunately, it was defective from the manufacturer (some buttons didn't work). I emailed IHL and Nan got back to me very quickly with a return shipping label to send the defective unit back and told me they were out of stock so the replacement may take a week. I asked for an update a week later and Nan said they had not received the shipment from Bosch yet but he would ship as soon as he got it. The next day they received the order and shipped my meter.
So overall, not a perfect experience (due to Bosch's poor quality control), but IHL did everything possible to rectify the problem. Well done.

Incredibly disorganized company. Three weeks past ...

Incredibly disorganized company. Three weeks past the order date and I still have not recieved my full order. No updates in my inbox. No apologies. A partial refund made to my credit card with no explanation about the cancelled item. Business hours are too short and no one could properly help me track my order (that is, when they actually pick up the phones). Female rep couldn't form a sentence and had no access to proper information. Promised to call back but didn't. I've left voicemails the following day with no response. Its surprising that a company could have such poor customer service. Will not shop here again and advise you to shop elsewhere.

Competitive prices. Good products. Would have given them 5 star if their website wasn t set up by an amateur. Doesn t show all products and just a really bad layout but other than that it s a great place to get all your product at a decent price

A lot of top brands tools, you can find here. Sometime, tools have good deals and brand new. Not sure if you could price match but can still try. Store seem to be well organize and clean to shop. Only one IHL branch and not eazy to come down, depend on location.

I purchased a pair of STC Duncan construction boot...

I purchased a pair of STC Duncan construction boots that cost me over $300. I didn't mind spending the money because of the great reviews and the one year warranty provided. Unfortunately, the boots did not last me very long - only about 6 months. I brought the boots back to IHL for the warranty and they kept the boots and took 2.5 months just to let me know that they couldn't do anything for me because I "overused" the boots.

The customer service here was terrible and I will not be recommending it or returning here again. If you're planning on purchasing anything expensive because of the warranty, I would suggest shopping elsewhere.

Thank you for all your help with this little hiccup. The Bostitch nail gun was received without the no-mar tips. Talked to Nan and he shipped it by UPS Express the next day!!! They really take care of their customer experience seriously, even just for a small part.

I want to say that this is some of the best customer service I have dealt with and obviously will keep toolioking (IHL Canada) in mind when ordering tools in the future. Have a great day.

My favorite toy store. I shop there mostly for their inexpensive work clothes, but their name brand tool selection is second to none. Knipex, Wera, Vega all in stock and a huge variety. Also, the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Yes pickup only and you wait more than 1 hours. then they never give original receipt the day you pickup your items. Even though you request it thru email and over the phone. Their obligation is to print a copy of original receipt. But they pass it in to the customer to print. IHL They don't print. They never give a physical receipt to the customer. But this is mandatory.

Then here's the IHL said.
OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO BE A INDUSTRY LEADER IN EVERY ASPECT OF OUR BUSINESS BY CONSISTENTLY ON OUR CUSTOMER NEEDS (quote & quote) THEN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION ( wow... wow. how can you say that. CUSTOMER NEEDS & SATISFACTION??? Did you really trained your associates in the store?? Are they really have co-ordinate each other?? That's ridiculous. As of my experience. if you really focus on your customers. Why they don't know how to give a hard copy of original receipt, if you really want your customers satisfaction. as a customer we REQUEST a physical receipt. On The day we pickup ours items. Is that hard to give physical receipt to your customer the day they release the items. It's your obligation to PRINT a physical receipt and give it to your customer. . Not us. We our a buyer not a seller. Your obligation is to give a physical receipt. It's mandatory by law.

Remember. Not all customers have own printer. Not all customers knowledgeable in the computer to print.
It's your job and obligation to print. Not a customer.

Well, the only day all the other stores are open, IHL is closed. I was really counting it would be open on Boxing Day. Wasn't really looking for specials. Just wanted to purchase few Bosch items that are on sale, other days im working and can't make it up there.

Purchased some stuff already from them and never had an issue. Wasn't thrilled about service and wasn't disappointed. Just a store with good pricing. Flyers/Specials could get updated more often.

To the guy with the broken drill complaining about IHL's warranty service. You get what you pay for. My Drill (bought from IHL) had a defect on 5th day after purchase, I registered for the extended warranty online with manufacturer, emailed them, send picures etc. Within 3 days I had a replacement sent in mail, without IHL getting involved. I suggest you read your warranty card/manual and grow up and do what's necessary.

I will update rating (IHL)over a period of time, cant give someone a 100% positive review/rating only if I shopped there once.

I had an issue with one of their DW0811LR Red laser I purchased online via amazon but IHL as the seller. I talked to support told me I can show up in store and exchange. When I arrived the staff were eager to go home and couldn t even pretend to care about the situation that THEIR product was deficient for such an expensive equipment. I was told to take my problems elsewhere so I definitely won t expect any help from these people and can t trust their products

Brilliant customer service!! They clearly demonstrated how to properly treat a customer (Lowes: you might want to pay attn!). Shipping was very fast and my goods were well packed. I'd give them 4.5 if allowed; the -0.5 is for their free-shipping zone, which is very limited.

I have never been treated so poorly by a customer service representative before. I return a product and they refused to refund the taxes.. I had to file a formal complaint with CRA. The are crocked that's for sure. Will never buy from them anymore. Not if i'm going to be swore at and treated like trash. Never again.

I've had no complaints with IHL -- but I see various posts for some who've lost receipts or tried fixing a tool and voided the warranty etc. Here's a good thing to know about in such a case:

If you have a tool that has become useless - you may be able to use it for the Dewalt trade-up program. Trade it up with $100 for a new Dewalt equivalent for many of the popular tools. At the 6275 Millcreek Drive in Mississauga Dewalt Store. The staff there are great to work with there as well.

I was very impressed with the quality of customer service. Every inquiry was answered in an extremely timely fashion and the responses were always professional. I was worried my order wouldn't deliver on time and Nan assured me it would and made sure it did. Thank you IHL and especially Nan! I will definitely order from here again.

I was extremely pleased with the service I received on both of my recent orders. The orders were confirmed within minutes, shipped within 24 hours and received after a couple of days. I had a question and it was answered by a knowledgeable staff member. For these kinds of purchases I will always order from this store.
