IH is in a great location in Dublin 2, next to Trinity College. The school occupies the same building as a College (Independent Colleges), which enables interaction with Irish people in common areas. The school has high academic standards and excellence in English teaching and teacher training.
It is a school with good facilities, young profile, for those looking for quality and a lot of interaction with other students from different parts of the world.

In fact, I was thinking of getting my third school in IHD until the event I expreienced for the last few weeks. my first school was ihd and I renewed in the same school. I'm trying to get my exit exam from my first course but they insist on not to arrange my exit exam. Although I am now in Ireland, they prepared and sent me a certificate instead of my exit exam. I paid 150 euros for this exam and told them how many times I wanted to take my exam, but they didnt give me neither my money nor my exam. I want to do a master's degree and I need a score from any exams, not the certificate that they gave me. I recommend you to think one more time before you come to IHD.
IH Dublin is located in the Irish Financial district and 5 minutes from O'Connell. It is located in a modern building with 5 floors. 40 classes available. It has a spacious restaurant with a nice view on the top More
I organized a study trip for my week-long school and the negative things to list are really many, since apart from the two teachers and several welcoming families, everything else was a nightmare. I received the names of the families only five days before leaving but only after so many reminders and e-mails; on our arrival at night a family did not show up so the three girls without accommodation were welcomed by the lady who hosted us teachers. (temporary accommodation which then became definitive, with considerable inconvenience). My students, bewildered when they returned home from the first excursion as they were not accompanied and taken back by their families. In class the first day they were only divided into two groups and never distributed in the classes by level bands, but the good ones have learned nothing more than they already knew. Excursions that were not always engaging were poorly organized and with inexperienced guides (they only limited themselves to taking us to the place without ever giving an explanation and more than once they did not know the itinerary becoming a cause of delays and taking time away from excursions) A couple of families they are remotely revealed accustomed to welcoming causing inconvenience to the students. Requested and revealed excursions never booked or with payments arrived on time. Return taxis booked by the college never presented. Moral: Every day my colleague and I found ourselves complaining or facing a problem
I've been there for English classes for only 20 as advertised on a flyer but was a waste of time and money as wasn't a real English course but the students were "used" to test new teachers. I quit after 2 classes.
Worked with them for years. Had some great students and kept in contact with many of them. Students liked the layout for the day with a mixture of learning and fun
Have had lots of students from the college young and mature I still hear from them even now in this climate they text asking how I'm doing and what's happening in Ireland. Cant wait to meet my next students only at the this this time I'm unsure when that will be.
A school that thinks more about making money than boosting the student .... Courses ranging from 20 year olds to 55 year olds .... rather complicated to create group cohesion. The canteen is very small and often offers the same dishes .... Avoid ABSOLUTELY especially since there are much more efficient schools in Dublin !!
Good teachers, but the education system is very traditional(bored) and with little interaction and no big news.
The space is good and well distributed, but the cafeteria is small for the number of students and has no healthy food.
I found large number of students per class, going up to 15 where most are Brazilian (which I found bad because I am also Brazilian and hoped to find a greater mix of nationalities), and on the first day we were taken to a written test room and few went to the hall to do a pronunciation test ... all very shallow and without much discretion.
And with age difference and constant student change it's hard to create a learning pace. In Dublin there are other schools with a better quality and similar price.
It used to be a great college to work with as a host. Now after several staff left, it is crazy. Poor communication, no student details, incorrect times. Avoid for your sanity
My 15-year-old son spent two weeks (8/21 July) with a family, where contacts were almost nil, while the purpose of staying with the family is precisely to make them interact to learn the language and also the scarce food provided. and poor. For the holiday that he was supposed to spend with them, he was told to make do because they would not have organized anything! (so he had to spend 70 in a taxi to spend the day in a shopping center). The family was found 3 days before leaving and moreover the details of the family that had been communicated to us did not correspond to the one where he was ..... he was not in Dublin, but in Tallagh a suburb 45 minutes from school by bus, plus another 20 minutes walk from the bus stop to get to the host family's home. The school lessons in the morning were quite interesting, while in the afternoon the activities were poorly organized and uninvolving. The few and poorly organized extra-school visits and the last day, where the departure was scheduled at 20.00, the school did not organize anything but left them with the host families waiting to leave !! As a first experience I would say bad and the only positive note that he had to and knew how to adapt to the circumstances. Frankly, I struggle to recommend this organization.
