My 15-year-old son spent two weeks (8/21 July) with a family, where contacts were almost nil, while the purpose of staying with the family is precisely to make them interact to learn the language and also the scarce food provided. and poor.
For the holiday that he was supposed to spend with them, he was told to make do because they would not have organized anything! (so he had to spend 70 in a taxi to spend the day in a shopping center). The family was found 3 days before leaving and moreover the details of the family that had been communicated to us did not correspond to the one where he was ..... he was not in Dublin, but in Tallagh a suburb 45 minutes from school by bus, plus another 20 minutes walk from the bus stop to get to the host family's home. The school lessons in the morning were quite interesting, while in the afternoon the activities were poorly organized and uninvolving. The few and poorly organized extra-school visits and the last day, where the departure was scheduled at 20.00, the school did not organize anything but left them with the host families waiting to leave !! As a first experience I would say bad and the only positive note that he had to and knew how to adapt to the circumstances.
Frankly, I struggle to recommend this organization.
