I organized a study trip for my week-long school and the negative things to list are really many, since apart from the two teachers and several welcoming families, everything else was a nightmare. I received the names of the families only five days before leaving but only after so many reminders and e-mails; on our arrival at night a family did not show up so the three girls without accommodation were welcomed by the lady who hosted us teachers. (temporary accommodation which then became definitive, with considerable inconvenience). My students, bewildered when they returned home from the first excursion as they were not accompanied and taken back by their families. In class the first day they were only divided into two groups and never distributed in the classes by level bands, but the good ones have learned nothing more than they already knew. Excursions that were not always engaging were poorly organized and with inexperienced guides (they only limited themselves to taking us to the place without ever giving an explanation and more than once they did not know the itinerary becoming a cause of delays and taking time away from excursions) A couple of families they are remotely revealed accustomed to welcoming causing inconvenience to the students. Requested and revealed excursions never booked or with payments arrived on time. Return taxis booked by the college never presented. Moral: Every day my colleague and I found ourselves complaining or facing a problem
