I applied and got a job offer with this company on...

I applied and got a job offer with this company only to get training paid hours and not get paid for it. After a week of not getting paid and the manager not putting me on the post I trained for I quit. Fast forwarding to a month and the company still hasn t given me my paycheck. I will have to settle these manners with legal. Do not waste your time with this company. If your a veteran like myself don t bother with this company because they will take advantage of you.

It is the worst company ever to work for, I like when they talk about integrity while the company dont have any, zone managers are bunch unprofessional and have no clue how to keep a loyal workers, they always try to get rid of good workers by cutting their hours n moving them far away from home, they only like young fit military E5 and above, if you got that you are good, otherwise dont bother, this company need to be investigated for discrimination.

The company owner does not allow any guards to contact him directly unless its the guard supervisors. The supervisors will not allow guards to get a hold of the owner. The supervisors are very uncooperative and dishonest. The chain of command lacks communication. I strongly do no recommend this company.

This company gave me a chance to work for them and at first they just gave me a minimum wage post so I could prove myself. Even though I was upset with my 10 years of experience having to work for minimum wage I stuck it out anyway. Well after proving myself for about a month they put me in a very good location at high-wage near my house. I quit because I wanted to go with Allied Universal. That was a mistake. I should have stayed with intercon. Intercon takes care of their employees and their uniforms 100%.
Intercon security is one of the most professional security companies.
This company will never mess up on your money and they will always make sure you look sharp. And they offer free training and will build you up. At the same time you have to put in the hard work and prove yourself. The hiring process consists of you filling out an application you getting called to the office you speaking with the recruiter and then you take a drug test right there in the restroom. They have you pee in a cup and if you pass your drug test you will get a post.
I can't stress this enough, great management, never mess up on your pay, very clean-cut sharp uniforms and the dispatch is has professional has a police department

They don't pay you for returning the uniform but they deduct it from your checks worse company I've worked for I have 10 years experience and former marine this company also don't pay military pay it's literally for beginners that want to be used aka no Vaseline

Work for them if you do not want to get paid for your work. Not only this company does not follow state law in terms of breaks, lunch hours, and compensation. But also tend to lose paperwork despite you have evidence of working, and not pay you for what you rightfully earned, a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Very unprofessional company period! They have a extreme lack of communication in all departments and they never answer the phones. I never received any training and had no clue on what were the requirements for my post and it was my very first time on the job. Ive had continuous problems with pay roll and never got paid on time. Don t waist your time with this company Because it would be nothing but stress and a headache. They are breaking labor laws and the bsis needs to be informed about this company s actions and how they treat their employees. Most of the commanders are rude and disrespectful and talk to you as if you were their children and its just completely wrong , i will never work for this company again and recommend nobody does or even have to experience the treatment i did with them I struggled more than I gained with this company

There is a bum Harry Darks is a security guard that really really really should not be used extreme creep and babbled unnecessary talk to patrons while on the clock. Walking back and forth touching people I think that Harry Darks is an extreme creep and this place creepy the personnel creepy with his creepy behavior. Harry Darks is one big creep and should be watched and really not used in your security deals. Harry Darks is creepy and talks when he ought not to people and need to learn restraint from embarrassing harrasment and touching people with his creepy hands and unattractive persona. If you want to do yourself a favor...demote Mr Darks to graveyard or fire him to save from losing your account.. that's your best bet...

There is no enough hours for new hired securities- I didn't have any problem with this company, except they don't have enough hours for new hired securities. They don't have any full time or part time job for new hired security. They put securities on call and sometimes for days and weeks they don't call you . About schedulers?! well the schedules are disappointing too because they give you schedule and when you organize your life according on their schedule then they send you a text and cancel your schedule! So it's not a reliable company for a full time or even part time job, or you consider it as a main job! just if you are retired or have another job and need to fill some of your extra time apply for this company.
Another big issues is they never respond the phone calls and you never get any respond on email from HR.I understand HR usually is too busy to respond to all emails but at least they need to answer their phones.This is a big problem of communication.So I drop one star just for that and one star for lack of hours.
Other than that, I liked the places that I worked and my co-workers and supervisors are nice and respectful in account that I worked.

Been with the company for quite some time and they are highly unorganized, no communication down the chain of command. And last but not least keeps the standards high for WHITE PRIVILEGED. They just dont care about there workers. The stinch of favoritism over professional performance impales throughout this company especially ZONE 2 where they treat minorities that are not in a position of authority like pawns on a chessboard. ZONE 2 IS THE DONALD TRUMP OF INTER-CON.

I loved Intercon. That's past tense.
In 2015 I had worked as security for Caltrans in Fresno and lost the post because Caltrans had A.) A faulty fence in the backlot, and B.) on weekends they worked with criminals doing community service. In my perspective it was either an inside job or the criminals who did community service that broke into the lot and stole valuable equipment which was noted on my night shift.
I wasn't even aware that valuable equipment was stored in that backlot as I was never notified they were kept in locked sheds.
My issue is they should have installed security cameras in that backlot long before that incident if valuable equipment were stored there if, at the time, my required duties were driving through there every hour for ten minutes at night. That's Caltrans fault.
After that I was removed to work in a remote area of Mendota on temporary basis until they found me something closer to Fresno. After four years of a long continous commute and frequently requesting a reminder I wanted something in Fresno through FAX but receiving no answer I was finally removed from that post after my area went through several supervisors and the supervisor at the post claimed I showed disinterest. Really?? I was lied to or forgotten after four years of faithfully attending that post, and no one from Intercon contacted me about it until they received that complaint.
When they moved me back to Fresno, finally, they said I was still collecting complaints from supervisors in new posts.
Meanwhile, Intercon of Fresno was losing contracts right and left to companies with a better more affordable bid since state offices were given a right to choose their own security services individually.
Finally, because of a misguided supervisor at DMV office on Blackstone ave., they laid me off.
I had worked for Intercon for nearly 20 years and never received a complaint or write up until that incident at Caltrans. I could tell by my own observations that Intercon was going downhill by mismanagement. I heard from another security employee that Intercon of Fresno wasn't even fighting for our jobs against other bidding companies and the offices they were holding on to by the end of 2019 in Fresno was a few dwindling DMV offices that was keeping them on.
I had loved Intercon for nearly 20 years, and in many ways still do, even though they had a reputation of suddenly changing schedules, expecting you to report to a call off on your days off, no matter how far, and siding with every meager complaint rather than trying to iron out the issue of the problem.
I'm afraid Intercon deserves to lose all the Fresno contracts that they did.

This company is not only classist, but they are pressing lines considering treatment as discriminatory. They feel entitled enough to treat employees as if they re not tangible assets to their company, but request last minute MANDATORY extended posts. My friend has worked for this company for many months and the stories she has told me, each and every post she has been assigned, has me ready to file a lawsuit. Luckily enough, some people don t have to depend on one place for employment, but the sheer inconsideration and disrespect shown for their officers speaks volumes!

You do not over work and underpay employees. Which is why their current turnover rate and previous lawsuits exist. It is no shock to me how many officers do not return to this company, however if you can avoid wasting your time then do not apply with this company.

Applied on Ziprecruiter and got a call back. Went through the phone prescreening and was rushed to start so put week's notice to current job went through the physical and the entire process.

Go to the office and complete the hiring package and then they tell me that I need a GED/HS diploma to hire me. I recieved a text from during the prescreening process that says "if you don't have a ged or hs diploma available it's okay"

Their excuse was that the recruiter misworded the text. I am now without a job because my current employer won't take me back after giving them only a week's notice.

It's my understanding that they regularly put their Security Guards on 12 hour shifts after doing 8 hours and they frequently change schedules at the last minute. The guards also aren't allow an official lunch but expected to work through their lunch.

A hit and run driver slammed into my car in the middle of the night. An Intercon security guard observed the vehicle fleeing and saw me chasing it barefoot. They did not bother to even report it when I asked them to and instead drove off. Horrible customer service.
