Thanksgiving buffet was excellent. Bloody Marys were comped when server made an error. Very impressive. Sunday buffet is very good as well. Far above Greenwood typical standard. Only experience with Inn.

The hotel is interesting and unique but the rooms can be terrible. I had a separate portable ac unit sitting in the room that was piped to a window. The window was open to let the tubes out and a makeshift piece of plastic was supposed to seal the rest of the open window. It did not, and left giant gaps for whatever wanted to crawl, or fly, into the room. The ac unit was so loud I had to shut it off in the middle of the night and deal with being hot.

The room was clean but had very poorly done repairs. The bed was very uncomfortable and the TV was frustrating to use. The channel up/down didn't go to all the channels so you had to enter them in manually on the remote. There was a channel guide to help but the guide wasn't correct.

The only thing keeping this from a one star rating was the food. The breakfast was amazing.

My experience was from a wedding reception. The staff was friendly and attentive. The buffet was excellent with the food being fresh ,great tasting, and I really liked the presentation. The bar staff were quite knowledgeable about the local brews being served.
Overall I give them super high ratings.

The Inn on the Square in Greenwood is like a home away from home. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating during our stay. Everyone is so friendly. By the time we left, I felt like they were friends. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. I plan to return soon for another stay.

If you are looking for a great, quiet place to conduct business over lunch or drinks, Inn on the Square has it. For lunch, the Carriage House has everything required for a perfect business lunch. Quiet room, excellent meal choices at affordable pricing and some of the best wait staff in town equals a successful business lunch. And if your client wants to really relax while discussing the fine details, you cannot beat The Fox and Hound.

Had our Valentine's Day meal here. Great menu selection... 3 soup or salads, chicken, filet, prime rib, mahi tuna and a veriterian selection for the entree and 4 desserts. Our soup was really good as was our cheesecake for dessert. The presentation was great on our entree (filet mignon), but the mashed potatos that the steak was on, was very stiff. It cracked when picked up. I would have preferred them to be creamier. Overall, an ok meal, but even tho' a compliment glass of champagne was included, the meal was not a $100 ($50/person) meal. For the cost, Pascal's or J.Peters or even Outback may have been a better choice. The most stars I can give would 3!

It's a beautiful place for a reasonable price. The free breakfast is amazing, not just the basic continental you see at most hotels. The only concerns is that the beds were very firm and because it is a historic building there is limited outlets for your devices.

We did not stay there as a hotel guest but ate at the restaurant for a Father s Day brunch . We had heard such good things about the food and I was excited to take my husband there for Father s Day. The food was not very good. The vegetables in the casseroles were not cooked, the selection was very slim compared to other buffet options but more expensive than previous days, the meat at the carving station was being carved all at once and stacked to dry out, all of the baked goods were dried out (cakes, rolls, cup cakes). We were very dissatisfied and will not return. It s unfortunate because it is a lovely atmosphere.

This was one of the most pleasant trips I have had in a long time. When we booked the room, Taylor was so helpful and told us attractions we would like to see. When we arrived, Claire greeted us and gave us the history of the Inn and told us the local hotspots to eat at. This morning we had the best breakfast at the Inn and Jay was so attentive to us. Tom told us about the places around town to see. We will definitely be back and will tell all our friends! Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

Great place to stay, clean rooms, friendly staff, beautiful hotel. The only complaint I have is the way they built the showers. The door only covers half of the entrance so water gets all over the floor when you have the water on lol
The breakfast was very good, however, during breakfast our orders got messed up more than a few times. It might have just been the fact that the hotel was completely booked due to the solar eclipse and it was very busy.
All in all, I would go back and stay if I found myself in Greenwood again as I quite enjoyed it.
There is also a fancy bar and resturaunt in the hotel.

Want to support local businesses but was not overly impressed for the rate paid. For one, there is a bar downstairs that plays very loud music. If you have children or want to sleep before 9pm you better not stay in this place. Air conditioning was very good and allowed me to sleep comfortably under the heavy covers on the bed. The shower is interesting as it is only partially covered by a glass wall. The glass wall requires you to get a nice blast of cold water to turn on the shower. Of course if you are make the shower too cold or hot when you first turn it on then you have pleasure of getting cold or hot water on you as you enter the shower to adjust the temperature. The half wall also means that the floor gets soaking wet after each shower. Bath towels have to be used on the floor to soak up the water and of course that means you are putting your bath towel in the spray on the floor from the toilet. These are the same towels that are then washed and you get to put on your face when housekeeping replaces your towels. The restaurant is awesome. The breakfast is awesome. The bar is really nice as well. The room - well if you are renting a room for comfort and relaxation you might look elsewhere.

Had my birthday dinner at Inn on the Square. The staff was well versed in the menu selections, answering any questions we had. We chose the Pasta Night special menu, though the regular menu was quick tempting. Everything was well prepared, from the Caesar salad to the Fettuccine Alfredo to the tiramisu for dessert. Made for a very special evening.

Front desk worker was nice and helpful. The bed was made from rocks evidently (not really but close). Musty smell throughout the hotel. Complimentary breakfast is a sit down and order from a menu. Sounds great but the one waitress was spending 5-6 minutes chatting up the single guys while ignoring my wife and I. After 15 minutes of waiting we gave up and left as we had a new grandson to see. The morning front desk clerk said she was going to adjust our bill, but that never happened.

Excellent prices. It seems to never fail in these white linen table cloth restaurants that they want to show us how metropolitan they are by forcing us into their comfort zone. So instead of giving us a choice of whether we want Paleo Peach Muffin with Crumb Tops or simply a good basic a croissant, they give you only the fancy muffin. Or when they offer you shrimp pasta "with a nice garlic butter brulee" and you ask "do you have Alfredo sauce" No. I guess what I'm trying to say is there's a reason bread and Alfredo is popular. No one said you can't try to be the best at preparing that. Just don't try to take us to the land of the blind and find satisfaction in being the only one with one eye. Nobody ends up being happy and unless you're government subsidized you end up out of business and that would be ashame.
Always hold a chump card.

Staff was always pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. We didn't have to leave for anything: bartender was wonderful, restaurant staff was gracious and attentive. The restaurant has the best fried mushrooms I've ever had, hands down. The decor (inside and out), attention to detail, and amenities for guests (coffee and pastry bar near the elevator, full breakfast included with room price, music choices on the overhead radio-which weren't too loud, etc.) have definitely earned this inn a place on our return list. Can't wait to come back!
