Nice modern Indonesian restaurant in Palo Alto off El Camino Real. Indo had a great happy hour menu that ends at 8pm. Most drinks and food items are around $5. The bar had TVs if you are looking for a place to watch some sports.
The restaurant was in the previous location of Straits Cafe. The food menu is very similar. I recommend any of the cocktails, the roti and the Green Curry.
Everything we had was excellent but there lamb korma was absolutely delicious. Loved this place.
Indo reopened their patio for outdoor dining today. They are serving a limited menu with around half of their usual dishes. We dropped by for dinner and had the mango salad, a sea bass, and a chicken curry. Tables are set apart and tastefully arranged.
Felt absolutely cheated when I ordered chicken rendang only to get what I know is a curry. It was not spicy. Had to pay separately for rice. Service was okay, was reminded to leave earlier as the place was fully booked for a private event
Great food and excellent service! We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and they really gave us the royal treatment. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Very Silicon Valley - somewhat pricey but decent tasting Americanized pan-Asian food in an atmosphere trying hard to cater to the tech money crowd. Our waiter was super enthusiastic to the extent that it was a bit off-putting.

Yummy food. Appetizer sampler is worth getting. The roti bread dip was also on point. Everything we had was pretty good but you have to be willing to dish out a premium price for them. The duck and short ribs were good. I recommend ordering some veggie heavy dishes since their meat entrees don't have much
Honestly did not enjoy the food. The server was great. The ambiance was on point. The food was just bad.
I had the lobster pad Thai and it was probably the most disappointing meal I've ever had in my life. The lobster was bland and rubbery, the pad Thai's sauce tasted like ketchup and the noodles were mushy.
Would not recommend.
Portions may not a tad small, but I left satisfied, and the food was very good.
Fantastic lounge type setting & ambience - great for business meeting or special personal event. As a vegetarian lots of good choices with my favorite dish here - Eggplant.

They have bit of everything in the menu. I got fried calamari as starter and ribs as main. They were nicely prepared. Relatively quite and relax if you sit outside under the tent. But inside is not great for having a chat.
It's a decent place with good ambience. The food was good but I have had better food at a cheaper price.

Excellent service! Extremely friendly and attentive staff. The Bihun Goreng was delicious with a nice spicy kick and large pieces of crab meat. Very nice experience.

Lighting was excessively dark, and the food was hit or miss. Of everything I tried, I would definitely recommend the sea bass and the roti!

I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was here. Be ware that if you go during happy hour it can be quite loud if you're sitting inside.

Indonesian food and the atmosphere at this spot is great. One of the best spots in the area. The staff was sociable and attentive. The bill was appropriate for the quality.
Roti prata and chicken satay are must have appetizers. The Chicken Rendang was a little less exciting. The place is a little too dimly lit and it can get quite noisy.
Outstanding location for delicious indonesian food. I should have took a photo of the food but it was too good to interrupt. I had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here. The bill was reasonable I would say. Wish it was closer to my house, I would come every week.
We love the food at Indo. Lot of vegetarian choices- ask for the veg menu. Loved the roti pratha, sambhal tofu, nasi goreng, eggplant curry. Sitting outside with the heaters was great.
I really like this place for happy hour or dinner!! I usually get Roti Prata, Chicken Curry (with brown rice on the side), and Indo Pear Mule Cocktail... ALL AMAZING!! The cocktail tastes like this ice cream from my childhood in Korea so it brings back good memories... MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM... This place has indoor and outdoor seating, and the outside patio is pretty at night!

I love this place. First time here, I had the papaya beef curry and it was perfect. My friend who recommended it also spoke highly of the braised Ribs and the Lamb koorma. Amazing place, I will be back. I just had to add to this. As I was sitting here digesting they brought me a coconut pudding with fruit to thank me for coming in today. Did I mention that I love this place?

I've been there for lunch and dinner and the dynamic range of flavors, the sweet, piquant, & satisfying SE Asian dishes are great. Reminds me of my travels in that part of the world. One of the best in the bay area.

Great food, ambience and service. I always start with the roti prata and fried calamari there. Every entree I've tried there was delicious. The service is always friendly, warm and accommodating. It may be a bit cold to sit out in the patio during the winter, but it's very nice during non-winter months. Recommend to reserve ahead of arriving.

Great upscale Asian cuisine - went there a number of times and never disappointed
First time ever here! The ambiance and outdoor dining was amazing, and love the lightning. Food serving was just about right. Our waiter is very knowledgeable in their menus and drink. Definitely he is an eye candy!
Great restaurant and bar! I could never resist Indonesian food. While this is not a traditional Indonesian cuisine, but the twist makes the food interesting to try. Great ambiance to sit and have a chat with great selection of drinks too.
I came here for a casual dinner with a party of 7 people. We had a reservation for 7pm on a Friday, but we still had to wait about 10 minutes. There was a DJ playing loud music, so I couldn't hear any of the conversation from the other side of the table. Maybe I'm just old at heart, but I wasn't really enjoying the atmosphere.
That said, the food was pretty good. I got the Seafood Green Curry, and I got to try the Papaya Beef Curry and the Roti Prata. My curry was a bit too spicy for me, but in between giant gulps of water, I really enjoyed the flavor and especially the fish. The beef curry, on the other hand, was both delicious and not at all spicy, so I'd recommend that for wimps like me. The roti was good too, but despite being an appetizer, it was served last.
Indo restaurant is an absolute gem!! I've dined here many times with family & friends & never had a bad meal. Their menu & seasonings are quite diverse, so we'll layered that every bite is savored. The Lamb Korma, Salmon, Pad Thai, Spicy Eggplant, Tuna Tartar excellence all around. Go with a group & order family style or if you're alone order an entree, a couple veggies & take the extras home. Don't miss the great cocktails. Eating at the bar is actually very nice. Enjoy!!
Three caveats;
1. When the restaurant fills up it can get loud but wait staff are very attentive & will turn the music down.
2. The lighting is very low in the evening so use your phone to read the menu.
3. The AC can often get too cool so ask for a table away from vents. Using diverters would solve this.
