Very busy, great cider & apple picking. Website says they don't allow dogs but there were tons there.
Very busy, great cider & apple picking. Website says they don't allow dogs but there were tons there.
Great new vibe with tasting room, live music and hard cider options. Makes it appealing to a much wider age range, but still has the fun stuff for young families.
Great Blues, interesting beer and cider, and tasty food.
A wonderful, wholesome, family experience. Their "Lunch With Santa" is my favorite holiday event.
Apples are great and the staff was super helpful in pointing us toward good places to pick. According to the rest of my family, the bakery is A+ ((I wish there were more gluten free options)
I love visiting this place in the Fall for Farm Fest. It's a good place for kids to go during the Fall events.
Its a fun place like pick your own apple cidar donut
Excellent cider and cider donuts, a lovely working farm to explore, awesome new brew pub, and pick your own apples and other (depending on the time of year). I love this place!
Horribly organized. Place is overcrowded, no signs directing people to where things are or what is what.
We went to get pumpkins and spent 2 hours with a little hike and feeding the animals. It was great fun.
Nice place with a cute country store and farm animals to feed. We were completely disappointed that our son couldn't have the cider donuts due to his peanut/tree nut allergy. They also have trails but you need to bring bug spray, lots of bug spray.
Too many people
Too expensive
Lines like Disney during a normal summer
Autumn isn't Autumn without Indian Ladders! I picked up some Annmarie's Jamboree "Autumn in New England" Spiced Apple Cranberry Jam - you have GOT to try it!! Delicious !!
Great place for the kids to blow off steam. Good local food and adult beverages.
Best apple farm in the world. Beautiful scenery. Delicious apples. The best cider donuts. Love the cafe for lunch, menu is understandably limited for breakfast, but bakery options abound. We love visiting with the animals too. And Much more
Indian Ladder Farms has something for everyone. A great Cafe, brewery with bar food and music, fresh baked goods including the famous apple cider donuts, gift store, apple picking, animals to pet and feed and so much more. All ages will enjoy a visit here.
Family fun picking apples, getting cider and fresh donuts.
Amazing and historic orchard. Great for families and anyone that wants to experience the outdoors.
End of season apples just ok. Past peak of freshness. Apple cider donuts overpriced and tiny. Potatoes good. Limited selection of other items.
Visited many many times and will return again and again
Absolutely loved this place! Interaction with farm animals is honestly the best part of this place and the food is so good as well, along with fresh picking.
Delicious beers, ciders, and food (get the cheese plate) combined with an awesome layout and smooth tunes. Perfect spot for a Saturday early afternoon trip.
My family and I came to Indain Ladder Farms for the first time in an attempt to branch out from our typical apple picking tradition. We arrived at the store first and we loved the atmosphere, it was cute and had a rustic feel. We walked around the store and settled on some cheeses and apple cider donuts. Upon leaving we walked past the parking guide (for the 2nd time) while having my daughter in her carrier. The parking lot was getting quite full and I was putting her into her carseat. My wife was in the driver's seat warning the car up. The parking guide came over to her and asked if we were leaving. She explained we were and that we just had to get the baby in the car first. He then began questioning us on where the baby was, she explained AGAIN that we were putting her into her car seat. He then asked AGAIN "are you leaving RIGHT NOW" so we explained AGAIN that we need to put her into her car seat before we leave. There was a car that wanted our spot because it was pretty close to the store, however there were still plenty of other spots available. It was incredibly rude to question us like that and we were not thrilled. My daughter's safety comes before someone else's laziness. We ended up driving the 35 minutes more and going to Bowman's where we have never been treated like that. Also the donuts were stale.
Orchard turned distillery. Got to change with the times and they have always been their for their customers. Watched a band there and the set up was sweet.
An amazing evening. Great food, great service and some amazing ciders and craft beers. Always a great time at IL/CB!
They make a lot of cider which is not my favorite but my friend enjoyed it. They serve a limited menu but not typical boring bar fare and the cheese board we got was delucious. Points off for too many flies inside driving me nuts.
Great for small kids. They enjoyed feeding the animals on the farm. There is a small sand playground witg toys. Its a lot of sun in the summer so at a certain point you need to just go indoors. The indoor store has fresh fruit, a fun shop, candy (some even with a kosher symbol for the kosherfolk!) There is a cafe as well in the store. Bathrooms were decent and was pretty amused that even the mens room had a changing table which came in handy!
Also its not far from Thacher park for some hot views and kid fun when you are done with the farm.
Went to the Renaissance faire here and took the pub crawl. Got to try a while bunch of ciders, I am not ussally a coffee person but they all tastes pretty darn good. The bar is pretty homie, I would go again.
The brewery is great place to meet with friends. Definitely check it out.
Wonderful cider doughnuts! Cute gift shop. Fun to explore with the whole family. Turjeys, chickens, goats, pigs lambs and Scottish Cattle. Nice apple picking place in the fall, but bring your wellies, lots of Apple schmutz and wetness.
Great place to get apple pumpkins and donuts. The donuts are freshly made, they had snap dragon apples which are amazing as well!
Amazing. Great fun for family. Farm to table food!!!
Family friendly! Great baked goods and the best Apple cider donuts! Gift shop is cute and not too expensive. Definitely worth a visit and the scenic drive!
Always a fun time. My best friend and I grew up one town over but even though we both moved to NYC, we always make time in the fall to come back upstate for a visit. It's tradition now to go enjoy the pick your own and how can anyone say no to the delicious hot cider donuts, especially when you can watch them get made while you wait in line. Lots of activities for the kids too like a hay ride, pony ride, and a bunch of farm animals that you can see and feed, and even pet if you're feeling adventurous.
Great experience with baby animals, went with a Preschool class. Did a fabulous job of catering to very little minds, kids learned a lot and have been talking about it for weeks!
Great lunch. Beautiful view and in season fresh produce. Pleasant walking area. Have animals but could take better care of them.
Picked Apple's and had a cider in restaurant with appetizer.
Not Pet friendly Farm. Discriminate against dogs. They pick and choose which dog they want on the farm. Was told to leave cause I had a 10 lbs puppy with me. The farms has field mice all around there farm squirrels and birds that poop all over the apples and trees but my dog is unsanitary. I've seen children do more damage then a dog on a leash.
It was really entertaining my son and I really enjoyed ourselfs. Much to do as well
Great place to pick apples I have many amazing memories there and adorable animals that you and your kids will love!!!
As a family we come here every year, and we love it!! The Apple cider donuts and fresh Apple cider are SOOO worth the wait in line!
Great spot to pick, overbuy and stick up on fresh apples.
Still make old school cider donuts. That in itself is a reason for the drive.
The food was great and the kids had a great time we will be going back soon
I AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN DONNA. I have tried getting in touch with her for almost a month now to set a venue for my friends wedding. She just wouldn't answer my calls/voicemails. It was very frustrating to say the least. I understand it was a short time frame but we have found better. TAHNKS FOR NOTHING DONNA!
Great selection of their own apples, fresh from the orchard. Lots of local products in addition to their own. It was too busy to wait in line to sample the donuts and the various ciders they offer. We would caution parents with young children that may grow impatient waiting for food or tables at the snack bar/cafe. Prices were fairly reasonable for the quality offered. It wasn't a good weather day to venture out to the orchards proper but the barn has pretty much everything they offer from small containers up to bushel quantities. Great selection of ornamental gourds, squash and pumpkins.
I've always had a great experience at Indians ladder, and this year I finally was able to try the ciders and beers on-site. A great, friendly outdoor setup on a cool fall day. Their beers and ciders rotate; I highly recommend a visit for apples and some drinks.
Fewer animals snd less of a family feel. Pumpkins are by the lb. as are squash. Nice variety of apples and prices are okay. Donuts were great!
Baby animal days is one the best local family events around! I was so glad to see the extended dates this year!
a nice place to stop with the family. all the cider and donuts are made right there. some of the prices are high and they do have a playground and animals you can visit making this place a great stop for children. the farm is big and they do have other things besides apples if you like picking your own and the view of the mountain is great. so stopping in the fall is pretty.
Had one of the best turkey sandwiches I have ever had. Expansion of the place was impressive.
I love the scenery and it's a beautiful place to take your family for the weekend. But, I thought $24 per bag to pick your own apples was extremely expensive
Fun place to take the kids for pumpkin pumpkin and apple cider. There apple cider donuts are awesome. They also have a little store you can buy locally grown food and products. We went to the apple picking fair in September, they had animals, horse rides, and farm animals to view.
Very busy on the weekends and this time of year. A two hour wait for their restaurant was too long of a wait for us. But I've heard that their food is good.
They've got good food and drink and a good bunch of apple trees. The hop plants driving up are cool too
I miss you guys like crazy!! Best place I ve ever been too!! Can t wait to get married here! Hidden Gem in NY good for kids ( barn animals) and adults ( cider/ wine/ liquor)
The quintessential family outing and the classic local Orchard complete with apple cider donuts and pumpkins in the fall. We love taking our kids to see the animals and the petting zoo
Cute apple farm, loved spending time with my friends there.
Helpful staff great selection would get 5 stars if they had more help at the doughnut counter
Best of the best. Exceptional service and friendliness
Super crowded on the first day of fall, but a great place to pick apples and buy local foods.
Brought kids here when they were younger and they had a great time. Nice Apple picking but also animals, store, hayride and various kids activities. Beautiful setting.
Surprised you needed a reservation for the outdoor venue.dont like going to a place sitting down and then being told," sorry this table is reserved"
Oh no kidding, where's the sign?
Relegated to inside seat next to water closet.
Pick and choose venue appropriately, especially for events.
Cider not had, need work on their ipas
Apples and cider were delicious! The u pick staff was friendly and knowledgable
Love this place! Great vibe, kids ok, outdoor area to die for, cider/beer and good food and often music!
I was there on Sunday around 1-130. It was a beautiful day and was looking forward to spending some time in the country Of course we couldn't leave without getting apple cider and apple cider donuts. The line for the cider donuts snaked from the window into the parking lot. Someone in front of me said it was an hour long wait. So I waited while my friend went inside to do some shopping. I finally reached the window and received my donuts, tiny and under cooked. Frustrated by the long wait, raw in the middle donuts we left.
My friend had purchased an apple pie along with a gallon of cider. Once home we tasted the cider and it was bitter. I've had fresh pressed cider before and this was the most bitter I've ever tasted.
After dinner we warmed the apple pie, cut it into slices, each having a piece. Trying to cut through the crust was a task. Eventually, I chewed and chewed and chewed and chewed my first bite. I looked at my friend who also was having issues with the chewy, over worked dough. Eventually we both pulled out the apples and left the dough to the side of our plates.
I have been to Indian Ladder Farms in the past with great success. This time was not the case. They seemed ill prepared to deal with the amount of people and the products were below standard.
I support local farms by buying directly from them as much as I can. I understand it is a difficult way to make money. I work hard for my money and can't afford to spend it on poor quality food.
Luckily for me there are many other local farms and orchards in the area. I can't see me spending my time or money at Indian Ladders
