Nice place with a cute country store and farm animals to feed. We were completely disappointed that our son couldn't have the cider donuts due to his peanut/tree nut allergy. They also have trails but you need to bring bug spray, lots of bug spray.

Best apple farm in the world. Beautiful scenery. Delicious apples. The best cider donuts. Love the cafe for lunch, menu is understandably limited for breakfast, but bakery options abound. We love visiting with the animals too. And Much more

My family and I came to Indain Ladder Farms for the first time in an attempt to branch out from our typical apple picking tradition. We arrived at the store first and we loved the atmosphere, it was cute and had a rustic feel. We walked around the store and settled on some cheeses and apple cider donuts. Upon leaving we walked past the parking guide (for the 2nd time) while having my daughter in her carrier. The parking lot was getting quite full and I was putting her into her carseat. My wife was in the driver's seat warning the car up. The parking guide came over to her and asked if we were leaving. She explained we were and that we just had to get the baby in the car first. He then began questioning us on where the baby was, she explained AGAIN that we were putting her into her car seat. He then asked AGAIN "are you leaving RIGHT NOW" so we explained AGAIN that we need to put her into her car seat before we leave. There was a car that wanted our spot because it was pretty close to the store, however there were still plenty of other spots available. It was incredibly rude to question us like that and we were not thrilled. My daughter's safety comes before someone else's laziness. We ended up driving the 35 minutes more and going to Bowman's where we have never been treated like that. Also the donuts were stale.

They make a lot of cider which is not my favorite but my friend enjoyed it. They serve a limited menu but not typical boring bar fare and the cheese board we got was delucious. Points off for too many flies inside driving me nuts.

Great for small kids. They enjoyed feeding the animals on the farm. There is a small sand playground witg toys. Its a lot of sun in the summer so at a certain point you need to just go indoors. The indoor store has fresh fruit, a fun shop, candy (some even with a kosher symbol for the kosherfolk!) There is a cafe as well in the store. Bathrooms were decent and was pretty amused that even the mens room had a changing table which came in handy!
Also its not far from Thacher park for some hot views and kid fun when you are done with the farm.

Always a fun time. My best friend and I grew up one town over but even though we both moved to NYC, we always make time in the fall to come back upstate for a visit. It's tradition now to go enjoy the pick your own and how can anyone say no to the delicious hot cider donuts, especially when you can watch them get made while you wait in line. Lots of activities for the kids too like a hay ride, pony ride, and a bunch of farm animals that you can see and feed, and even pet if you're feeling adventurous.

Not Pet friendly Farm. Discriminate against dogs. They pick and choose which dog they want on the farm. Was told to leave cause I had a 10 lbs puppy with me. The farms has field mice all around there farm squirrels and birds that poop all over the apples and trees but my dog is unsanitary. I've seen children do more damage then a dog on a leash.

I AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN DONNA. I have tried getting in touch with her for almost a month now to set a venue for my friends wedding. She just wouldn't answer my calls/voicemails. It was very frustrating to say the least. I understand it was a short time frame but we have found better. TAHNKS FOR NOTHING DONNA!

Great selection of their own apples, fresh from the orchard. Lots of local products in addition to their own. It was too busy to wait in line to sample the donuts and the various ciders they offer. We would caution parents with young children that may grow impatient waiting for food or tables at the snack bar/cafe. Prices were fairly reasonable for the quality offered. It wasn't a good weather day to venture out to the orchards proper but the barn has pretty much everything they offer from small containers up to bushel quantities. Great selection of ornamental gourds, squash and pumpkins.

I've always had a great experience at Indians ladder, and this year I finally was able to try the ciders and beers on-site. A great, friendly outdoor setup on a cool fall day. Their beers and ciders rotate; I highly recommend a visit for apples and some drinks.

a nice place to stop with the family. all the cider and donuts are made right there. some of the prices are high and they do have a playground and animals you can visit making this place a great stop for children. the farm is big and they do have other things besides apples if you like picking your own and the view of the mountain is great. so stopping in the fall is pretty.

I was there on Sunday around 1-130. It was a beautiful day and was looking forward to spending some time in the country Of course we couldn't leave without getting apple cider and apple cider donuts. The line for the cider donuts snaked from the window into the parking lot. Someone in front of me said it was an hour long wait. So I waited while my friend went inside to do some shopping. I finally reached the window and received my donuts, tiny and under cooked. Frustrated by the long wait, raw in the middle donuts we left.
My friend had purchased an apple pie along with a gallon of cider. Once home we tasted the cider and it was bitter. I've had fresh pressed cider before and this was the most bitter I've ever tasted.
After dinner we warmed the apple pie, cut it into slices, each having a piece. Trying to cut through the crust was a task. Eventually, I chewed and chewed and chewed and chewed my first bite. I looked at my friend who also was having issues with the chewy, over worked dough. Eventually we both pulled out the apples and left the dough to the side of our plates.
I have been to Indian Ladder Farms in the past with great success. This time was not the case. They seemed ill prepared to deal with the amount of people and the products were below standard.
I support local farms by buying directly from them as much as I can. I understand it is a difficult way to make money. I work hard for my money and can't afford to spend it on poor quality food.
Luckily for me there are many other local farms and orchards in the area. I can't see me spending my time or money at Indian Ladders
